Room was small and basic but it was a room with a shower and toilet and we only slept there as out all day site seeing and as such for a basic hotel was more than adequate.
Breakfast basic but ok and why use hotel bar when there are son many excellent bars close by?
Overall a clean basic hotel, friendly staff and yes I would go back too
Rooms were large with comfortable beds. Plenty of space in the bathroom with a large shower area. Rooms were cleaned daily and were spotless. We had a front room facing a gothic church and there was some street level noise but nothing major.
Staff were super friendly and super helpful at all times. There are no coffee or tea making facilities in the rooms but stuff were always happy to make you a cup whenever needed,
We went bed and breakfast. Breakfast was a very Polish / continental affair. Never had a salad with gherkins for breakfast before but gave it a go one morning. Otherwise breads, cheese , meats, pastries, cereals -usual continental affair.
We were very happy with our stay at Hotel Secesja. Krakow is a stunning city and we would return and stay at the Secesja again.
Room - basic,
•Shower has two settings, either more pressure than a sales rep on coke trying to get you in their bar or drips slower than ya gran up the stairs.
•Bed, it’s a bed... solid 3 out of 10
•highlight of the room is this wonderful picture ive included. And the view looks great if you got cataracts.
Restaurant,
Gives of a league of gentlemen kinda vibe, coffee was like muddy water.
Staff,
Give her dues, one lady here was great (didn’t get her name so will refer to her as Brenda) helpful and full of smiles and sound advice of good places for meals etc etc. Unfortunately it’s not just Brenda on the payroll, let’s add (again didn’t get real names so will assume appropriate names)
Victor and Veronica these 2 less use than a condom with the end chopped off. Grumpy and seemed to have big issues when it came to letting you in the front door, which was locked nearly all the time..
Now Veronica, this one didn’t even open the door! 30mis ring of the bell she must have been off in broom cupboard or something way more important that letting people in to their hotel!
All in all will defo’s be back to Kraków, but probs won’t be back to this gaff. :)
Can’t comment on evening menu as we didn’t try it out (too busy sight seeing to be back early enough).
Hotel is in Kazimierz district-many lovely restaurants near by. Short walk to Plac Nowy, a little further to Jewish Quarter. 15-20 mins walk to Main Swuare.
Big disappointment was additional parking fee even if the hotel offers private parking.
Bad points aircon aweful very big and noisy and does not push out cold air this time of year room was very hot. Big shower but water pressure low. Tv very old does not have casting to watch your countries programmes (from your phone/device) so only Polish TV available. Overall good value for money.
