This Hotel needs updating. reminded me of a Turkish hotel I stayed in in the late seventies. No Tea or coffee in the rooms , breakfast was poor , if you were late down had to ask for replenishment. Front of house staff were very helpful and arranged alot of trips for us. Bar what bar, closes early. Taxi's range fro 12 zl to 50 zl to get back to hotel from the main square. On a brighter note Krakow was beautiful . We will go again, but the polish need to smile abit more.

First time in Krakow and this hotel appears to be ideally situated to walk to both the Main Square and the Jewish Quarter plus very close to tram stopes too. It is basic and the main down side was the room was really warm which seemed to emanate from the hotel itself as our heating was off.
Room was small and basic but it was a room with a shower and toilet and we only slept there as out all day site seeing and as such for a basic hotel was more than adequate.
Breakfast basic but ok and why use hotel bar when there are son many excellent bars close by?
Overall a clean basic hotel, friendly staff and yes I would go back too

Hotel Secesja is very conveniently located - about a 5 minute walk from the Jewish quarter and 15 minutes from the main square in the city centre. It is spotlessly clean and decorated in a Polish style that’s gives it its own unique character.
Rooms were large with comfortable beds. Plenty of space in the bathroom with a large shower area. Rooms were cleaned daily and were spotless. We had a front room facing a gothic church and there was some street level noise but nothing major.
Staff were super friendly and super helpful at all times. There are no coffee or tea making facilities in the rooms but stuff were always happy to make you a cup whenever needed,
We went bed and breakfast. Breakfast was a very Polish / continental affair. Never had a salad with gherkins for breakfast before but gave it a go one morning. Otherwise breads, cheese , meats, pastries, cereals -usual continental affair.
We were very happy with our stay at Hotel Secesja. Krakow is a stunning city and we would return and stay at the Secesja again.

Hotel seemed promising from photos and other reviews that had been written, upon arrival the door was locked and we had the ring the bell, to which the person answering the door didn’t look pleased to see us, knew exactly which key to give us making me think we were the only ones staying here. The decor of the room was acceptable needs a little updating in all honesty, the bathroom was interesting to say the least, the water pressure in the shower was more likened to something you jet wash a pavement with and the sink was merely a light dribble. Breakfast was limited at best, juices lukewarm, and few other options to chose from. Of the few positives, the location is good with numerous restaurants and things to do nearby, a great recommendation given by one receptionist who was working far too infrequent, maybe if she worked more often the hotel would be busier. Would certainly come to Krakow again, to this hotel definitely not.

So, here we go.
Room - basic,
•Shower has two settings, either more pressure than a sales rep on coke trying to get you in their bar or drips slower than ya gran up the stairs.
•Bed, it’s a bed... solid 3 out of 10
•highlight of the room is this wonderful picture ive included. And the view looks great if you got cataracts.

Restaurant,
Gives of a league of gentlemen kinda vibe, coffee was like muddy water.

Staff,
Give her dues, one lady here was great (didn’t get her name so will refer to her as Brenda) helpful and full of smiles and sound advice of good places for meals etc etc. Unfortunately it’s not just Brenda on the payroll, let’s add (again didn’t get real names so will assume appropriate names)
Victor and Veronica these 2 less use than a condom with the end chopped off. Grumpy and seemed to have big issues when it came to letting you in the front door, which was locked nearly all the time..
Now Veronica, this one didn’t even open the door! 30mis ring of the bell she must have been off in broom cupboard or something way more important that letting people in to their hotel!

All in all will defo’s be back to Kraków, but probs won’t be back to this gaff. :)

Clean room with twin beds. Bedding changed daily and clean towels. Reception staffed until late. Quite a choice at breakfast- cereals, breads, jams, meats, cheeses, coffee, tea, juices, eggs, sausage (European style), olives, pancakes etc. All the food is European style.

Can’t comment on evening menu as we didn’t try it out (too busy sight seeing to be back early enough).
Hotel is in Kazimierz district-many lovely restaurants near by. Short walk to Plac Nowy, a little further to Jewish Quarter. 15-20 mins walk to Main Swuare.

Fine accommodation for reasonable price in the center of Cracow. From higher floor you can see big cathedral from the balcony. Breakfast was good, room equipment is a bit older, wifi works well, TV is not working at all.
Big disappointment was additional parking fee even if the hotel offers private parking.

The hotel is Art Deco in style. The bedrooms are spacious and clean. I had a slight problem with my shower and some of the hairdryers when on high setting cut out. However it is the staff that make this hotel. Hairdryer - no problem reception staff will give you one. Wish to book to go anywhere? Hotel staff are there to help. Need to print off boarding passes again no problem. One lady Anya was a superstar. There are no tea or coffee making facilities in the rooms although bottled water is provided but again ask and they will make you a drink. No problem seems to be their stock. Reply

Excellent location staff wonderfully friendly, although nobody appeared to know what a poached egg was as I tried to order for breakfast. Rooms nice, clean & spacious.
Bad points aircon aweful very big and noisy and does not push out cold air this time of year room was very hot. Big shower but water pressure low. Tv very old does not have casting to watch your countries programmes (from your phone/device) so only Polish TV available. Overall good value for money.

Does the hotel provide towels?
Answer from cegaservices
Lincoln, Nebraska390 contributions137 helpful votes
Yes. They also supply shampoo and normal amenities in the bathroom. There is a hair dryer in the bathroom. A taxi from the airport can be about 25 Euro, but they also have Uber for around U.S. $10.00. The train from the airport to the Central Station is even less expensive and a taxi from the Central station to a hotel in the City Center or near the Old Jewish Quarter is not expensive.

The Hotel can book them all for you- book Auschwitz as soon as you get there as they fill up fast. There's loads of trip agents as you walk into the main square too.
