I read some reviews on this hotel before booking & people were moaning about little things but it was £150 for 3 nights including breakfast and seemed like a good location and I booked a twin room. I wasn’t expecting much from this hotel.
This hotel is great. My twin room had 2 double beds!!! Just to put in prospective of the size of the room!!! Wood block floor, table and chairs, a writing desk and chair, large sofa, tv and bedside tables, it’s huge, with high ceilings, nice warm room. The bathroom is a good size too and it’s quite modern in comparison to the room. But I like the decor it’s in keeping with this old building and surrounding area, if you want a hotel that you can find anywhere at home book it but If you like charm this is perfect (I’m 39 years old btw not ancient 🥴).
The staff are friendly and helpful our housekeeper didn’t speak English but we worked out how to communicate and she was so helpful and accommodating (don’t worry people I only wanted another tea bag so it’s nothing major when I mention housekeeping).
The room is clean, hotel is clean, car park here is about £12 a day but it’s easier to pay the car park at the hotel than on street parking because the parking meter was a little confusing and street parking is quite full, however street parking is free on a Sunday in krakow. The breakfast is nice, location is perfect, lots of trams and buses for those who don’t have a car, but pretty much everything is walking distance. Warwel castle is right next to you. About 18 minutes from krakow airport by car. Krakow or Poland in itself is lovely, so much recent history here 😔 but we should never forget. I’ve not eaten at the restaurant in the hotel apart from breakfast so I can’t comment about the food, but all the places I’ve gone to eat in krakow has been amazing and so cheap to dine out. Alcohol is cheap too. I’ve got nothing negative to say about my visit to royal hotel or Poland.

The hotel looks a bit aged but it is still very nice looking, comfortable (very spacious rooms and bathrooms, hallways, restaurant), clean, the staff are professional, the breakfast is great. It is in the centar of the city in a very nice environment, under their biggest castle and a huge local restaurant. It is not in a strictly walking zone so taxis can pick you up and drop you off in front of the hotel. Great choice.

No infamy and no praise, a barracks-style hotel, heavy and ugly, but rooms large. Beds low but comfortable.
In the shower cabin, of course, large mold stains on silicone joints.
Breakfast average, but interesting because you can see to what extent scrambled eggs can be watered.

The scandalous price for a hotel car park: 65 PLN / day is the equivalent of an average Pole's payday!

Gloomy and dusty, greasy fingerprints on the lift mirrors welcomed us and stayed longer than we did. Very rude response from cleaner when asked to remove pigeon poos from our window, she said she had more important things to do and, huffing and puffing cleaned it and washed the pooed cloth in our bathroom sink! Car park attendent let our prepaid parking space to someone else for hourly charge , we waited for 2 hours for him to arrange another space and after massive row they let us park on the manager's space.
We apparently had a standard double room: one double bed, one side table, single wardrobe with broken shelf, dusty blanket with a shoe brush on it, 3 hangers , one chair, broken telephone and broken TV. No space for suitcases, when we opened the holder there was no room to walk.Curtains burnt with cigarettes. Missing plug in the sink. Two bags of flavoured tea and two portions of sugar. No coffee. Iron - in the ironing room for everyone to take turns.
When we wanted to talk to the hotel manager, we were informed that she is at home and not coming. She didn't appear for three days. The stay in this hotel ruined our visit in Kraków.

Stayed here with a friend for a long weekend in November. Couldn’t fault the hotel or location, especially for the price paid. Great place to stay right by Wawel Castle, close to restaurants, Bars, Main Square, Trams and shopping. Rooms are huge!! Bathroom had a great shower. Plenty of room for coats, shoes and luggage. Rooms were also very warm and couldn’t hear any noise outside at all. Staff have all been friendly and good choice for buffet breakfast. Nothing to complain about, everything was great and would definitely stay here again and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend 👍

Ok - so for the price it is well pitched and also nicely placed for walks to the centre.
But having had a room on the main road - ear plugs are essential due to tram and general traffic noise. I did ask to be moved but no options. The staff are very courteous and helpful. The breakfast basic but acceptable with variety of options.
Rooms I would suggest on the park side of the hotel much quieter though. Decor old fashioned but no issues as pictures on site accurate

The hotel is centrally located, just in front of Wawel Castle, and has large and clean rooms. Staff at reception promptly answered to my emails and helped me with booking airport transfer and Auschwitz tour. Beds are very comfortable. Our room at third floor faced the gardens and sleep quality was so good. Buffet breakfast in the middle range. Just in front of the hotel a couple of good restaurants with local traditional food.

The location of this hotel is perfect. You can look at the famous Planty park while having breakfast. But the hotel is under renovation and rooms which are available are not renovated yet. This explains super cheap price. Worth concidering.

Extremely close to the old town. Big,clean, spacious rooms, polite and helpful staff. Nice breakfast (can be improved). Fair enough for its price. Krakow is a lovely city and the position of the hotel offers you the opportunity to walk around.

Hi is there parking and do you have to pay ? Thanks
Answer from 011
Cardiff, United Kingdom59 contributions19 helpful votes
There is pay and display on street parking which I didn’t use because it was a faff. Street parking is free on Sunday. Hotel parking is available for guests and is charged at a daily rate. Worth doing as on street is quite busy.
