very pleasantly surprised: hotel is perfectly placed in the shadw of Wawel castle. few minutes walk to the central squsre (the Rynek) on a charming cobbled road weaving through the old town. Staff speak fluent English and are charming and helpful. Rooms beautiful - we were upgraded - with desk, leather arm chairs, quality furnishings and decvor and a lovely large shower room. Spotless, cleaned twicwe or mo0re daily. Tropical flowers in room, apples available to guests, lovely pool inm cellars with peanuts, bottled water, dried apricots and masses of fluffy towels. Lovely sauna. Huge comfortable bed with super sized pillows, very comfortable.

We had booked a 3rd-floor Panoramic suite looking out on the Wawel but learned shortly before arrival that those rooms were being renovated and we were upgraded to the Fresco Suite on the ground floor. The fresco was indeed beautiful and the suite was large, but the decorator had gone overboard with a pedestal bed imitating a 16th or 17th century model that was pretty hard to get into and out of. Only one normal chair in the room, but two classy but uncomfortable leather lounge chairs. The "lounge" part of the suite had a big desk with a chair, plus a leather couch facing a wall TV screen. Not particularly inviting. Bathroom was classy but not practical : no handles to get in or out of the bathtub, no handle on inside of separate shower. The real surprise was being awakened at 7:15 by noise from the room above which was obviously under renovation. Luckily they didn't work on Saturday or Sunday, but it would be a show-stopper during the week. The food was delicious but since Covid rules forbid buffets, the breakfast menu items delivered enough food for 3 people. I did figure out that we could order just what we wanted, and then it was great. Service good. No time to test the pool, the spa or the rooftop terrace, but I visited them and they look superb. My guide was Pani Joanna, hotel manager, the heart and soul of the hotel. Like the rest of the staff, she was ready to do anything to make our lives easier - for ex she had a pair of shoes fixed for us immediately on arrival.

Dear Karol_Paris, Thank you very much for your kind review posted on Trip Advisor. It has been a real pleasure for me and our Team to assist you during your recent stay in our historical house. I am sorry that we had to change your originally reserved room before your arrival. During the hotel closure from March 16 we have decided to use the time and do the complete renovation of the kitchen, restaurant and bar. As per our Guests’ advices we changed bathrooms in 4 of our rooms. We were not wasting time during the hotel closure, we wanted to improve as much as we could. I am sorry that it has been prolonged this particular morning during your stay. As you kindly mentioned we have changed the way of serving breakfasts in our hotel. It is individually served for every Guests subject to their preferences. I am also happy that you found pool, spa and roof top terrace superb. I hope that you will be able to test and enjoy the freshly renovated Panoramic Junior Suite during your future stays with us. With kind regards from Krakow, Joanna Wilgierz & Copernicus Team.

Hotel is a fantastic location. Staff were all very helpful, (we had lunchboxes provided for our excursion). The room a very good size, big bed, desk, Nespresso machine, decent mini bar. You’re provided with dressing gown and slippers and an extra blanket should you need it. The bathroom, again very big. Lovely big bath, the shower retracts from the bath so you have to hold it when using it. I found the bathroom a bit of a let down only because I find it a dangerous. There are no guards to protect water from splashing onto the floor and there is only one handle on the wall side (i’ve attached a picture to see) I almost slipped trying to get out of the bath, and i’m a young guy, and older person may have struggled. The spa is a good feature although only one of the showers were hot, rest only ran cold water. Overall I enjoyed my stay.

Dear Sir, Thank you very much for your good review and comments! We are overjoyed that the hotel and staff met your expectations. We are very sorry for the inconvenience with a bathtub. We also have very nice rooms and suites that have shower and maybe you would find it more comfortable for the next time. We strongly believe that this will not affect negatively your overall opinion of our hotel and we will be have this pleasure to welcome you again at Copernicus Hotel. We were upgraded to this Hotel due to the closure of the original hotel that we had booked. There were four of us in our party and we are well travelled. Each of us stated that this was the best hotel that we have ever stayed in.
Our rooms were totally amazing. Our friends had a deluxe suite with original frescoes and we had a deluxe double. The mattresses were wonderful. The marble bathrooms were replenished daily with LOccitane toiletries.
We had breakfast daily and this was excellent. Fresh juice was offered made to order as was any type of egg dishes. The usual hams, cheeses and pastries were plentiful too.
If I went to Kraków again I wouldn’t stay anywhere else as the location is perfect. The Hotel is in the Old town, near to the square but away from any noise. It is close to Castle Wawel. All of the staff are so helpful.
Very Highly recommend this hotel.

I like finding nice hotels with a character, near to the main areas, and this being a Relais Chateau listed hotel I thought it was a good choice.

I was right. We stayed 3 nights. Very nice fairly small hotel with lots of character. Apparently President Bush has stayed there. Rooms very nice. There is also a lovely roof terrace where we had drinks each night before heading out for dinner.

The rooms and service were both very good. Breakfast is a bit steep at £20, especially when I only want coffee, juice and some bread. One can always just take a stroll out and find somewhere else nearby but we didn’t have the time.

Dear Mike C, Thank you for your amazing review posted on Trip Advisor. We are very happy that we met your expectations as the Relais & Chateaux member. I am also happy that you enjoyed the stay in the Presidential Suite where we have hosted George W. Bush . The room is amazing in terms of historical value , the XIVth century beam ceiling, the XVI th century fresco takes you back to the ancient times and the view of the Kanonicza street and the Castle from the window complete the experience. Thank you for your comment about the breakfast, for those who only wish to have a coffee and croissant we can also offer breakfast and give a special price. We would be happy to welcome you back in the near future again. With kind regards, Joanna Wilgierz General Manager

Chose this hotel as one of only two Relais and Chateaux hotels in Poland as our favourite hotel brand globally. Came highly recommended by family so picked this immaculate 5 star standard luxury hotel for a michelin standard taster menu and a nights stay.

We were greeted by professional and friendly staff who pulled all the stops to make our visit magical and unforgettable.

Everything from the hotel, spa and restaurant were top notch and immaculate.

Prices are extremely reasonable for this standard of hotel and I'd urge to book well in advance to avoid disappointment. We were staying in Wroclaw for a week and made the three hour journey by train especially to visit and was with every minute and zloty to do so.

Will be visiting again hopefully in the summer.

Hotel Copernicus really is a special place to visit. Was great to be back here after a long time not travelling and it did not disappoint.

First things first…COVID precautions. The hotel is running really well and almost ‘as normal’ but with all the precautions they could sensibly be taking. Had to come back to hotel mid morning and the team of staff cleaning and sterilising the communal areas was impressive and great to see.

OK…some things have changed. No breakfast buffet so all table service (which is just as good). A slightly amended menu to help the hotel manage I’m sure but still a lot of choice and everything we ordered was delicious. Recommend the local egg dishes and local pancakes…

Rooms are decorated to reflect the age and history of the building and are an attraction of the hotel I think.

Pool is worth a visit…very cool down there and a great place to relax.

Look forward to coming back.

We have just spent an amazing 3 days in Krakow. This hotel was outstanding-Our room was amazing such great views. All the staff were friendly, professional and courteous. The food was of a very high standard from breakfast to the 7 course taster evening meal which was incredible!!
The bedding was of a high standard and as hotel is away from the main square it was so quiet at night . Having said that the position was perfect to walk into old town to enjoy all that old town has to offer. The management and the team must be congratulated on running such a superb establishment
We would highly recommend this hotel it will not disappoint

This was our third stay at the wonderful Hotel Copernicus and it did not disappoint. The staff are extremely helpful and friendly, always giving us a warm welcome every time we came back into the hotel. The room was spacious and well equipped, and the swimming pool in the cellar, was a welcome relief after a day walking around town.
It's definitely worth having a meal at the restaurant, a choice of either a 5,7 or 12 option tasting menu...modern takes on classic Polish dishes. The flavours are amazing! We look forward to our next visit!

Very comfortable and relaxing stay here. The suite made for a delightful stay, with everything we needed for comfort.

The hotel location is great for the city and for sightseeing. The staff made us feel welcome and cared for. The manager is most welcoming and friendly.

We had a room service breakfast, which was tasty and varied - despite a slight mistake on the order but enjoyed it anyway.
Some might dislike the lack of standup shower (in our suite) but there’s a spa bath and shower hose.

We had a treatment in the spa, which was AMAZING- Thank you to the ladies in there for such a brilliant massage!
There’s a pool, showers and sauna in the vaults. Perfect!

I’d definitely stay here next time.

Good Morning. You could directly approach the in house restaurant which has an excellent degustation menu if you want to celebrate within the hotel. I'm sure they could organise a cake to go with you dinner. Also they have a rooftop terrace over looking the city perfect for such celebrations. There is also an excellent restaurant at Kanzonica two doors up which has excellent cakes.
