Location is excellent, just a short stroll to the main square. Lots of lovely restaurants close to the hotel, we ate in the restaurants close to the hotel every night except one, when we ate in the main square (the restaurants in the Jewish Quarter were far superior both for food and price)

The hotel itself is modern and clean. The air conditioning control panel in our room stopped working Friday night. We alerted reception on Saturday morning and they advised they would look at it. When we got back to the hotel Saturday evening, the air con was still not working. We phoned reception again and they advised that there was no working maintenance over the weekend so we would be left without air con for the remainder of our stay. I find it unacceptable that a busy hotel, (it was booked out for our stay) would not have someone on call over the weekend to fix any issues that arose.
Our room was on the top floor, so one of the cleaners called up to unlock the small window so we could open it further, however, this did not cool down the room. As we were on the top floor, our room had a large skylight that did not open, the black out blind was poorly fit, so there was still light entering the room.

The hotel is located opposite a busy bar and food court area, however the room is very sound proof.

Breakfast was a selection of juice, hot drinks, cold meats, cheese, breads, pastries, fruit, cereal and yogurts. Eggs were available to order, cooked to your requirement.

As we had a full day tour booked, with an early pick up one morning, we were going to miss breakfast. The kitchen prepared a lovely breakfast pack for each of us, with enough food to cover both breakfast and lunch for us.

This hotel was perfect, me and my fiancé stayed here for 3 nights, Check in was so fast and the staff were friendly as anywhere I’ve ever stayed. To start the hotel was so modern it’s either a brand new hotel or being recently updated. The room was so perfect, the bed was so comfy and so much room you could easily have fit another single bed in and a children’s bed. The bathroom was stunning we loved everything about the hotel room the only downfall about the room was when it rains the metal windowsill makes such a loud noise but that’s a minor problem and basically impossible to prevent. The Old town markets was about a 13 minute walk and it’s filled with shops, restaurants. I recommend Sioux it’s got amazing food and drinks and so cheap !! 3 course meal each and 3 drinks each £65 total ( I will attach photos ) we also went to auschwitz and the collection point was 4 minutes away so I’d recommend doing that.

I’d 1000% recommend going to this hotel if your unsure about where to stay

Pros- location, comfort, staff, rooms, service

Cons- none !!!

We stayed in hotel Estera from 17th-20th of jan, and we couldn’t have asked for anymore. The hotel is brand new and absolutely spotless. When we checked in the lady was very friendly, and made the process very easy. We forgot an adapter and she gave us one to use without question. Our room was beautiful, spotless again, very large and comfy bed, and a lovely modern bathroom with a very large shower. The room had a nespresso machine which was yummy and a nice touch. We had breakfast twice which was delicious, with pancakes, waffles, eggs, bacon, sausage, yoghurt, fruit, etc. Again all the staff at breakfast were very professional and would do anything to help us, e.g., even though it’s self service for drinks and some food bits, our drinks were brought to us and could order from the table for omlette and eggs. We had drinks in the hotel and you get discount for being a guest. I can’t stress how lovely and kind the staff were, it was really apparent that they wanted to help and give great service. The location was fab, in the middle of the Jewish quarter and a 15 min walk to the centre of the Old Town. Everything was near by and accessible by walking. For the amazing price, and the staff and beautiful rooms etc, it’s a no brainer!

Very disappointed with our stay at hotel Estera. Good points rooms were clean and made up every day.
Bad points. Breakfast was the worst we have ever experienced in Europe. We do a lot of city breaks and never before have we complained. On morning one the breakfast was chaos from start to finish. Breakfast room very small and as a party of four had to sit at two separate tables. One lovely girl checked us in for breakfast and took our order for eggs. Everything else was self service. No bacon left so long wait for more to be cooked. Only a spoonful of cold beans left. Nothing was replenished unless we asked. No glasses for the juice. Milk jug empty. I could go on. It was not the fault of the server who was so lovely but absolutely rushed off her feet. When the eggs arrived they were inedible and only half cooked. We complained at reception and the girl was very rude and disinterested. She asked her manager and it was agreed we could have a refund for the remaining two days of our trip. After a conversation with the manager we eventually got a refund for the three days. One night we returned to the hotel after our dinner at 10pm. We looked to get a drink at the bar and the same rude girl said the bar was closed! At 10pm!!!! We questioned her about it and eventually we were served. There were no toiletries in the bathroom only big containers of soap to wash with and do hair etc. Would expect individual shower gel etc from a 4 star hotel. No body lotion slippers or dressing gowns provided. I’m n general we found some of the staff rude and not approachable. The manager was nice and did listen to our complaints. He let us keep one of the rooms till 12 pm as one of the party had a medical condition and we had an evening flight. Definitely would not stay here again.

This hotel was perfect for a city break. The rooms were clean and spacious and very modern. The location was great, we liked being in the Jewish quarter and walking to the main square. The staff were very helpful. Breakfast was OK, think you can get better value when you eat a restaurant but was convenient when up early for a day trip.

The Estera is Beautiful hotel in the heart of the Jewish quarter surround by quirky bars and restaurants with a market in the square next door. The rooms are Fantastic and the beds are amazing I’ve never slept so well. The windows completely blocked out all outside noise once closed and the air conditioning worked well. The hotel was spotless and the staff were great. Highly recommend.

If choose 2 words to describe this hotel, ones would be "slowest hotel"... It has probably the slowest elevator I have ever seen in my life, to get up 1 floor takes entire hours... The same applies to the one and only coffee machine in the breakfast hall ( do they call it restaurant ? ), which takes an age to produce cup of simple coffee... and service is definetely not the speedy one and slightly disorganised.
Hotel itself is centrally located, within walking distance to all central places. Taxi from airport cost 129 PLN as per zoning tariffs. A number of place to eat and drink around.
Rooms are relatively large and have needed amenities. Water pressure and temperature was ok. Indoor climate was good.
Breakfast is reasonable choice and quality, however small area and as mentioned only one extremely slow coffee machine.
There is NO PARKING around, so forget even start thinking to come here by car.
The hotel on my understanding fits only conventional city sightseeing tourists. Not my choice for next visit.

Fantastic hotel and exceptional value. Stayed for 2 nights and cost me just over £100 which was well worth the money and more. Lovely cosy room with a great bathroom. Spotlessly clean and the room was cleaned on my 2nd day despite only been there 2 nights. It was quite warm but the room had air con which soon cooled it down. I ate in the restaurant for breakfast both days and it was about £7 for a full English and a drink which isn’t bad. I got the train there and was about a 30 minute walk, but got an Uber to the airport which was just over £10 despite it been a 30 min drive so again, great value. Thanks for a superb visit, if you are going to Krakow then you must do the salt mines. I did Auschwitz and the salt mines in the same day, very long day but the Salt Mines brought the mood up slightly and kept my mind occupied after a harrowing and somber morning at Auschwitz.

The area is packed with restaurants and cafés, bars and grocery stores… literally packed. Front desk staff are not very friendly and sometimes you feel like you’re interrupting them with doing nothing. The front desk is literally a small desk next to a loudly coffee machine in the “boutique hotel “ restaurant.
The room has an old fashioned style with dark corridors and jewish historical photos. I had some kettle in my kalk provided in the room. The bed was on the soft side with no toiletries in the bathroom. Be aware that parking is a big problem in this area and we had some difficulties with that so plan your steps before checking in.

The location of the hotel is very good, you walk out and there’s loads of bars and restaurants, not too far of a walk to the main square as well. Hotel very clean and nice big comfy bed, asked for another pillow and they brought it up to our room. The bathroom was very modern and liked the walk in shower. Overall had a brilliant stay would 100% recommend.

Are there hairdryers in the rooms?
Answer from Alex K
Ramat Gan, Israel62 contributions7 helpful votes
It is possible, but we didn’t order breakfast, only the room. Because literally 10 steps from the hotel there are like dozen of breakfast places, cheaper than the breakfast deal in hotel. Also, many 24/7 carrefours around the hotel, if you don’t ask for fancy bourgeois breakfast. I would recommend Cytat Cafe at Miodowa 23, at the same building as a hotel, but on the Miodowa street
