Where to start, the Hotel Maximum was a great choice as a base. I knew we were close to old Town Square, but it was literally 5 mins walk and you were by bars, restaurants, shops, chemist and small grocery stores. The hotel was amazing, quiet, clean and perfect location for tram and walking. The hotel booked our airport to hotel transfer which made the arrival easy ans for 90 zlt for 2 people 130 for 4 it was a easy decision. Little hiccup checking in but quickly fixed. Our room was fairly small but the entry had a bench and closet and there was also a desk and chair. Bathroom was a little small and corner shower was tight but worked. Room also came with a TV but only 2 news channels were English, but plenty of wifi if you have kids and need to stream Netflix. Breakfast was amazing, plenty of choices and polish dishes. To me this was an authentic stay in a period hotel that was reasonably priced around $70 per night. Poland has Uber so that is another option when getting around. Our transfer back to airport by Uber was 70zlt and we used it one other time for a really reasonable amount. Poland is cheap comparable to UK and even USA. Meals were cheap and tourists were welcomed with almost everyone speaking English. I even think our Uber spoke English, he just did not want to. My only negative hotel comment would be that by email they were so helpful and were the main reason we stayed as the transfers were booked on email and stressless. At the hotel the staff was more rigid and not as outgoing but this may be a professional worker thing as they were very professional but just a little less helpful when asking questions A+++ 5* stay

The hotel itself is very nice, the staff superfriendly, the rooms neither small nor big, the breakfasts one of the best we have ever had. The restaurant in the hotel has an interesting fussion-cuisine menu, but we did not try it out, so we cannot really judge it. There is only one downside: if you are not into nightlive, ask for a quiet room not facing the main street or avoid the hotel altogether. We had a room facing the main street and in the saturday night could barely sleep. The dance clubs in the neighborhood so loud, that even with windows closed and earplugs you can hear them.

Fantastic 4 night stay. I have thought long and hard and cannot find anything to complain about. Easy welcoming check in, perfectly clean and presented room which was well serviced all week. Breakfast is from 7am to 10.30 with a generous mix of food choices. Little touches I liked were the two bottles of drinking water that were replaced daily along with the hospitality tray, the shower had a strong delivery anytime of day, and the toilet tissue was really nice quality (little thing I know but....) the positioning of the hotel is not only great for the central square and basilica, but an easy was to the Jewish Quarter and its charming restaurants and Markets. Well done Maximum, I cannot wait to return. Bravo!

Arrived without great expectations but was thoroughly satisfied. The hotel is impeccably clean and the staff are pleasant and helpful.
At the tariff we paid we’d expected a simple continental breakfast, however in addition to a wide selection of fruit, cereals and pastries a cooked option was also on offer, excellent.

Hotel is in a great location close to old centre of Krakow. Our room was at the front of hotel so trams heard trundling past at most hours of night and day. Not overly disturbing but noisy nonetheless. Bedroom walls not particularly thick which led to being woken and kept awake by loud snoring next door.
Room small, pretty basic but functional. Bathroom same. Only one wafer thin pillow and disappointing that when asked for additional pillows at 6pm was told none available until following day as housekeeping had finished for the day. First nights sleep uncomfortable as a consequence.
Breakfast buffet plentiful. Clearly catering for all nationalities so an eclectic mix of items. Enough to satisfy most tastes but not necessarily all. Overall a little disappointing but acceptable nonetheless.

Very central location, close to Old Town / Square and indoor shopping centre.
Check in was very quick and easy, and the receptionist was very polite and helpful.
We stayed in room 208 overlooking the park.
Comfortable and very spacious double room with clean bedding, TV with BBC News, room safe, clean towels, hair dryer, powerful shower, fridge.
The room also had a coffee machine, however there was no milk provided, we asked at reception if there was any milk available but unfortunately there wasn't. We just purchased some from the local shop and put it in the fridge, easy fix.
The breakfast provided was absolutely fantastic, a plentiful choice of cereal, breads, pastries, fruit, hot drinks, cold drinks, salads, cold meats, cooked breakfast, I could go on.
Overall, we had a very pleasant stay and would definitely stay again.

We arrived late and were given a warm welcome.
The hotel is ideally located on the main road on the outside of Plenty park and the old Town, a 2 minute walk and you're in the old town and 5 minutes to the right of the hotel the main train station and a large shopping centre. Turn left and 7 minute walk to the castle.
I asked for a quiet room and I'm pleased I did, the rumbling of the trams would keep me awake as I'm a light sleeper. Our room was very big.
The breakfast was plentiful, juices, fizz, coffee machine, hot chocolate, choice of teas. Buffet breakfast of breads, cold meat, bacon, cereals, pastries cakes, you won't be stuck for something to eat.

Beautiful, newly renovated and very clean rooms, tasty breakfast with a wide selection of dishes, helpful staff who gives you great tips what to do and where to go during visiting Cracow. It's just a few steps away from the main market square where you can drink and eat whatever you want to. Hotel can also organise your airport shuttle and Auschwitz or Salt Mine tour.

A good little hotel. Quite old fashion interior and rooms are basic however they have everything you would need and serve the purpose. Staff are very friendly and helpful. I’d say the best thing about this hotel is the location. It’s 5 minutes away from the main square and very close to the train station. The breakfast included in the stay is actually really good, it’s a buffet style breakfast with cereal, crossings, hot food like eggs, sausages. There is a vast selection of hams, cheese and olives etc

- We found the toilet seat extremely dirty on our arrival.
- I requested gluten free options for breakfast in advance as I am allergic to gluten (coeliac disease). However, we had to constantly remind them and ask. The food was never labelled, so it was difficult to understand the allergens. Unfortunately, the breakfast staff were not very helpful.
- Small details that were uncomfortable. For instance, the bed was positioned very close to a corner wall, which made it difficult to get in. The aircon remote wasn't working and when reported, we didn't get any help.
