We booked a double room with a balcony (206) which was at the rear overlooking the courtyard, very quiet. Room was good size with two comfy chairs, high end fixtures and fittings, very clean and modern room and bathroom, linens immaculate. Good coffee machine plus kettle and mini fridge, good coffee pods, tea bags and milk cartons supplied, extra available FOC from reception, tap water excellent quality for drinking. Toiletries supplied are shampoo/shower gel, body lotion and bar soap, extra on trolley by lift to help yourself.
All staff were friendly, professional and efficient. Excellent customer service, email responses prior to travel were very quick and all questions answered accurately, very helpful. They booked us a trip to Auschwitz on chosen day. Trip was very good, picked up from hotel in Mercedes 7 seater, English speaking guide and head sets included, all very well organised, cost was 170pln per person payable on day to driver.
Hotel is walkable to all points of interest for most. There is a very good, cheap tram system if preferred.
Very easy to get a train from airport to Krakow Glowny Station (although only hourly during winter months) and then a short walk, less than 10 mins.
Would definitely chose to stay here again and I am fussy. Only thing to be aware of, vaping is not allowed in hotel, a fine is applicable if you do, so a balcony is a must for vapours as well as smokers.

Service here was excellent, all staff from the night guard security to the concierge went the extra mile to make sure we enjoyed our stay.
The room was spacious, very clean, and very quiet consisting the hotel is in such a central location within easy walking distance to all attractions.
Improvements: Could add to amenities such as tissues in the room, bottled water (each room has a Karaffe of tap water), and body wash as well as the bar of soap and shampoo provided.

We arrived at approximately 12:40am after our flight was slightly delayed. We were met by a helpful and friendly member of staff who checked us in quickly and smoothly. He also gave us a map and tour guide of Krakow and allowed us to borrow a travel adaptor as we had forgotten to bring one. We then went up to our room which was beautifully designed and immaculately clean. Beds were incredibly comfy and the room has a radiator so you can adjust temperature accordingly. The room was incredibly quiet, no street noise, making for a peaceful nights sleep. The shower was also fantastic!
The location of the hotel was very close walking distance to the main square and there are plenty of wonderful breakfast spots on the streets around the hotel.
We stayed for 3 very pleasant and comfortable nights and were very sad to have to check out at the end of our stay. The staff on the desk kindly allowed us to leave our bags whilst we popped out for breakfast, before leaving for the airport. Overall, a wonderful stay in a beautiful, well presented hotel. 100% would recommend.
Please also note that if using Uber services to travel to/from the hotel, you can only be picked up and dropped off at the nearest main road, which is a short walk away from the hotel. (It appears that Ubers will not travel down the narrow back streets).

Found this lovely boutique hotel . 5 minutes walk to the main square . Hotel is pristine , all been refurbished to a very high standard . Nothing was any trouble . Staff were friendly and attentive . Breakfast is served in bene bistro ( which is amazing) just 2 minutes from the hotel , reception even arranged a breakfast box to come to our room at 6.30 am on our last day as it was an early exit , it was fabulous. Cleaners were so helpful nothing was any trouble . Room was cleaned if you wanted it cleaned due to COVID-19 , we were topped up with coffee, milk , and toilet rolls whenever we needed it . Pin codes on doors for access to rooms , which is new to us . Will definitely use this place again on our next visit ,

Beautiful building and interiors â calming colours and textures, very comfortable bed and pillows, allows for a perfect sleep. Nice bathroom.
Perfect location â you leave the building, and you are virtually within the Old Town, a step away from the Planty Park, glorious in the autumn sunshine, and a few minutesâ walk from the railway station. It is perfectly convenient to actually walk from the station even with luggage.
A bottle of red wine ordered in advance cost 60 PLN and was of very good quality and nicely presented, waiting for us in the room.
Cons:
No blinds in the windows â not sure why the hotel has not designed any kind of aesthetically pleasing but also practical solution so far. It was awkward to get out of bed and be looked at by children sitting in classrooms in the building just opposite.
We booked a Superior Boutique that was offered at a discounted price on hotel website and as we agreed to book directly with the hotel (and cancel the booking already done via booking.com), the hotel agreed to add bathrobes on request. Bear in mind ladies â the bathrobes are small! I am size 14 and I could just about tie the robe when standing but could not sit in it as it was completely too small. Not sure how this would work for bigger people. So the imagined comfort of having a warm comfy bathrobe at the end of busy day actually never happened for us. Additionally, I read that if booked directly with the hotel, one gets a carafe of homemade cherry vodka â well, we did not get any. Was that because we requested the bathrobes, so the good will was already exhausted?
Major Con that made us want to leave and spoilt our stay:
My friend has a medical bowel condition which means the need for home cooking at least every 2nd day, which was the reason we decided to book the Amber Design Residence hotel â the room Superior Boutique with a Kitchenette. It turned out the kitchenette is a space with a kettle, Nespresso Machine and sink. There was no fridge (only warmish cooler) and no place to cook on, also no toaster. As it was a priority for us, we spoke to staff and the hotel manager, who told us they can bring the induction cooker on request but there is no option to have a fridge (?!). The cooler in place of the fridge was so warm that you could not even keep milk or fruit there, all was just warm. The induction cooker was provided and left for us to install on the desk in the bedroom (?!). We asked if the hotel could refund us and we would just rent Airbnb with proper kitchenette, which the manager refused to do. The argument was that it was clear from the room description that this is an apartment with a kitchenette, therefore we should not expect to be able to have a fridge and cooking facilities! I understand people come to Krakow to eat all meals in restaurants, usually, but sometimes the needs are different, and I think this is a disgrace on the part of the hotel, and also misinformation in the room description. Following this disgraceful event, the manager did not provide any discount or any other GOGW. For this reason we will not be returning to this hotel.

What is more, we are indeed very lucky, as the location of our property is ideal for visiting Krakow, as it allows our guests to be close to many of the sights and hotspots. Our guests´ happiness and satisfaction is our number one priority, and we are therefore sincerely sorry that we did not meet some of your expectations. We agreed to provide your room with additional amenities, such as bathrobes and slippers (both in universal sizes), as well as additional pillows (regular and orthopedic). The lack of cherry vodka must have been our oversight, for which we apologize. We would like to highlight the fact, that our property is a Residence with rooms and apartments to rent - unfortunately, we are not a hotel, nor Airbnb. As you mentioned, the room you booked is Superior Boutique - modern and functionally equipped with a mini kitchenette that allows you to prepare small meals, and our Residence can provide you with an induction hob or microwave, which only needs to be plugged into the socket. The photos on our website also show the whole room with the kitchenette included, therefore we believe that we are not misleading our guests in regards to equipment available. On Booking you can also see a detailed description of the available equipment as follows: "This twin/double room features a stovetop, flat-screen TV and kitchenware. In your private kitchenette: Refrigerator, Coffee machine, Electric kettle, Stovetop, Kitchenware" Unfortunately we did not receive any information that a toaster is a necessity for you. We were terribly sorry to hear about your friendâs health issues, that is why we did our best to provide you with all the equipment we could, as well as we offered you to use our personal fridge. Nevertheless, those ones in the rooms are standard refrigerators used in hotels and do not freeze, but cool the food and store it perfectly safely. Excellent stay at Amber Design Residence. The hotel is 10 mins walk from train station and 5 mins walk from the Old Town main square. The room was lovely, with very comfy pillows. The room was on the ground floor facing the road but still very quiet and could not hear any noise. The breakfast is a 2 min walk in a cute boutique cafe round the corner with excellent food! I would highly recommend this hotel and would love to stay here again!

This was a brilliant place to stay. We were on the North side of the Old Town, on a quiet street, under 5 minutes from the main square. The doors are coded so you donât have keys to your room or the main door which is helpful. We had a late check in and were greeted by security. It was efficient, pleasant and welcoming. He gave us local info, hotel info and help with codes. The room was a perfect size, cupboard space, sliding door to the bathroom and a double bed, tv and 3 big windows looking out onto a courtyard (007 room). Rooms were cleaned when we left out the sign and we had coffee and tea facilities, complimentary vodka and water. We had everything we needed and if we needed extra, in reception/lobby there is a drink making area where we could grab teabags/milk/sweets and take them to our room. All staff were friendly, room and bed was super comfy. Full length mirror, hairdryer and toiletries provided. My only issue was we had 2 super squishy pillows which were not to our liking! However, I would highly recommend this hotel and would not hesitate to come back again! On leaving they even gave us a cute bag of sweets! Thank-you to all.

This hotel is a little gem in old town. Prior to checking in, we organised a transfer from the airport which was waiting for us on arrival, the driver Andrew was very friendly, helped with our bags and gave us a brief overview of the city on our way from the airport. The concierge and after hours security who checked us in were also very friendly and helpful.
The hotel itself is in a quiet part of old town which provided a refuge from the busy main square. There are great restaurants close by, including Invito (Italian) and Zen Sushi.
Whilst the rooms are a little small, they are very comfortable, shower was great and you can get complimentary tea/coffee/juice in reception as well as pod coffee in your room.
Highly recommend this little gem and would have loved to have stayed longer

Just returned from a 3 night stay at the Amber Design Residence and what a place! Very clean, very comfortable, great design, great staff and a top location.
After landing at the airport we travelled by train to the main station in KrakĂłw. The hotel is only a 10 minute walk from the station and is located just outside the centre of the old town, with all cafes, restaurants and bars being within a 5 to 10 minute walk, if that.
The room was spacious, with plenty of storage.
We booked bed and breakfast, but as the hotel does not have a restaurant we received vouchers to have breakfast at a bistro just round the corner. The bistro was also very clean, nice decor with an industrial feel. Unlike past reviews we didnât have a buffet, but could choose any thing off the breakfast menu. All the food and drink was tasty and of a good quality. Even on our first morning we had a packed breakfast/lunch supplied by the bistro ready in the hotel lobby as we were being picked up early for our trip to Auschwitz, so would not have had time for breakfast.
The only suggestion I could make, although we didnât spend much time in our room would be for the TV to have a few more English channels, other than Sky News and Euro News, even if it was just BBC channels or music channels, such as MTV/VH1.
We will definitely be visiting KrakĂłw again and wouldnât stay anywhere else but here.

My wife and I recently booked a couple of rooms for our family for a 4 night stay in Krakow and not only did we love this wonderful city but we also loved our nights in this hotel. The reception staff were friendly and helpful, the rooms were beautifully clean and looked as having been recently refurbished, the hotel is perfectly located in a quiet street within a short distance of the city square. The breakfast we prepaid for was at a top quality restaurant around the corner where you could serve yourself to anything you wanted from a large selection of quality breakfast food and drinks with vouchers provided by the hotel. We wouldn't hesitate on recommending this hotel to others.

Not sure how you inform the restaurant as I didn't make the booking myself. But the breakfast was really very good. Full buffet with hot and cold options and you're not rushed.
I would advise using app Bolt for any taxi rides. It is 3 times cheaper than city taxi or the taxi booked at the hotel. Average price from/to the airport is approx 10-13 euro with Bolt. The price is given on the app the moment you book it .
There are more places to choose from in the Krakow area.
