Breakfast more than adequate we heard a few couples moaning about the lack of English television stations, didn’t bother us, more stuff to do that watch television.
All in all we thoroughly enjoyed our short break in Krakow mainly thanks to the location and the hotel facilities.
Large, comfortable room, warm with easy to control air conditioning.
Basic, no frills extras, just 2 coffee and creamer sachets, limited toiletries. No room servicing but prompt with requests.
Excellent breakfast. Always plentiful and attentive at refilling and clearing tables, which was good as it was VERY busy. Masks and gloves required in dining room but not enforced and few complied.
Sadly bar and restaurant were closed during our visit which was a shame as planned on using for first night due to late arrival.
The only negative was that I purposefully booked this hotel as it said rooms were sound proofed. It most definitely was not soundproof. Insulation between rooms virtually non existent, could hear neighbours opening suitcases, chatting, using bathroom etc. Footsteps from upstairs was like an earthquake.
Our room was over the entrance, where there are benches for guests to sit and smoke etc. Lots of chatter and socialising there which carried into our room.
Didn't realise hotel was on tramline and could hear trams running upto late at night and from around 5 am.
In the summer months you wouldn't be able to have the window open during the night due to the latter 2 issues.
Fortunately always travel with ear plugs so got decent sleep after the first night.
I would stay again but would ask for a room towards the back of the hotel, away from Krakowska.
Check in was made easy by polite English speaking staff.
The hotel is very well located in the Jewish District and the Castle and Town Square were no more than a 20 minute walk away.
The Remah Synagogue is 5 minutes from the hotel and it's history is fascinating.
We were not affected by noise from the trams or church so our stay was very enjoyable.
Breakfast was excellent, buffet style with something to suit all tastes. We didn't dine in the restaurant but found the bar comfortable and staff entertaining.
We recommend this hotel to any prospective visitors. Krakow is a lovely city with so much history.
Room was good and had everything we needed. Bed was comfy apart form horrible plastic mattress protector. We had an initial issue with the heating banging but they moved us rooms straight away. Fridge for milk and (complimentary) water was useful. Only issue which was a real pain was that we asked for a quiet room away from the tram works so they put us at the back of the hotel. we were quite happy until the church right outside started ringing its bells at 6am every morning :( There was also a lot of noise from the street outside and when refuse was being collected from big communal bins below our window.
Breakfast had a good selection and catered for most tastes although we felt the coffee wasn't good.
Staff were all friendly and helpful
I complained about the breakfast .
As at 0930hrs today the only hot items were scrambles eggs - I say hot but they were only just warm.
There were 2 sausages which were cold and a tray of bacon which was stone cold.
I asked for the manager but the food sever didn't speak English, so I took my plate to the hotel receptionist and asked her to touch the food to prove it was cold.
I asked for the manager but was told he wasn't in the hotel but he would contact me. It is now 1900hrs and no contact.
If the manager is reading this then the reason I am writing now whilst I'm at the hotel is that he cannot say why you didn't tell me at the time.
The room we had was facing a central courtyard, so not a great outlook, but it was quiet, very clean and spacious, had a fridge, tea & coffee making, good size wardrobe and comfortable beds. Always immaculately cleaned everyday.
The hotel reception was clean and welcoming and the staff were fantastic, very helpful, plenty of local knowledge, friendly and polite. We needed to phone and check a time and location correction for an excursion, reception staff made the call for us in Polish, made sure we had all the up to date info. Concierge helped take our bags to the room and told us all we needed to know about restaurant timings, breakfast, the bar, places to visit, really great.
The food in the restaurant was delicious. A huge choice for breakfast which would suit all nationalities. We ate in the restaurant on two evenings as there is also a resident discount on the price. The cocktails in the bar were great. The staff again were friendly and polite, even to some really loud annoying person who was there!
I would highly recommend staying here, great place.
Our room were very clean and comfortable, tea/coffee facilities and a fabulous walk in shower. The ac kept the room nice and cool. We stayed in room 225 and whilst we had some street noise, it was relatively quiet.
We ate in the restaurant on our first night and received a 10% discount for being hotel guests. The food was fabulous (burgers and pierogi’s), well presented and very tasty. Service was also good, very friendly. We had a few drinks at the bar and the cocktails were fabulous (and very reasonably priced).
Breakfast was excellent and there was plenty of choice with fruit, yoghurts, cereals, bread/rolls, cooked and continental, tea/coffee machine, various juices.
The hotel is kept immaculately clean, our room was cleaned daily with fresh towels. Staff are friendly and helpful.
Would definitely return and highly recommend.
Dziękuję
