Guests at Leonardo Boutique Hotel Krakow Old Town enjoy attentive service from staff who are frequently commended for their helpfulness. The hotel's prime location near Krakow's historic center is a highlight for many, allowing easy exploration of the city. Although praised for its cleanliness and comfortable, well-equipped rooms, some visitors mention the rooms can feel a bit cramped. While the atmosphere is generally appreciated for being modern and inviting, the breakfast and bar offerings are sometimes criticized for being overpriced with limited choices.

I stayed 7 nights and I am so glad I picked this hotel from the huge number of hotels that are available in Krakow. The staff were universally helpful and friendly, nothing was too much trouble. I had a small single room which was serviced daily with fresh towels and complimentary mineral water, coffee and tea. Covid-19 precautions were implemented around the hotel, for example there was hand gel in reception and on the floors next to the lifts. The breakfast buffet was extensive and served by staff rather than help yourself. It included rolls, croissant, hams, cheeses, bacon, frankfurter, scrambled eggs, yoghurts, fruit and juices. The hotel was perfectly situated close to bars and restaurants, the castle and the river. It takes a while to navigate around the city but I could cover the whole city on foot in a day. I am an independent traveller and didnt go on group trips-The bus station is a 15 minute stroll from the hotel and a return ticket to Zakopane is only 44 zloti, less than £10, a bargain when the journey takes 2.5 hours each way. There are two large shopping malls within walking distance of the hotel, one next to the rail and bus stations. I had a great time in Krakow and I will pay a return visit and definitely come back to this hotel. This is a well run hotel that puts guest satisfaction top of the list.

The customer service at the hotel was superb, they could not do enough for you. All members of staff were friendly, helpful and welcoming and made our stay even more enjoyable. Well located for the Old Town where there are plenty of restaurants and shops and a short walk to the Castle. The hotel will also arrange tours for you if you so wish. A decent breakfast is served, no longer a help yourself buffet style, there are staff that serve you from the buffet, and you can go back as many times as you want, items include, bacon, scrambled eggs, Polish sausage, cold meats, cheeses, salads and various pastries, breads and rolls, fresh fruit etc, along with juices, tea and coffee, plenty to set you up for a days sightseeing

The bedrooms are well set out for a short break, with enough cupboard and wardrobe space and electrical sockets, great wifi and an in room safe, large enough for a laptop. A kettle and a couple bottles of water (sparkling) are also provided. Decent shower and again, some toiletries are also provided, and although they do provide a hair dryer, you can't use it due to covid rules.

Masks are obligatory when going to reception, bar and for breakfast (while queuing/ordering). There is an outside area with seating and meals and drinks are not overpriced, meals are very good

There was a great atmosphere at the hotel between guests and staff, hotel was spotlessly clean, all public areas were cleaned often and thoroughly . We are planning another trip to Krakow in the very near future, as we didn't manage to see all we wanted to see in the four days we were there, and we plan to stay at the Hotel Legend again

We have just got back from a 4 night stay at the Legend Hotel. Its was booked via Expedia and we booked on the basis of the reviews on that site and we were not disappointed. We had looked at others, but we found that the location for the main square in the Old Town was fantastic, a mere 5 minute walk. It is roughly the same distance to the Kazimierz district (ghetto) where you will find great places to eat, shop and drink.
The room was a twin room (room 515), as its was a father and son excursion. Not a big room, but it was perfect for what we needed. Clean, very clean - even the lift buttons are cleaned every two hours, so that's dedication. It was on the fifth floor and faced a side street and wasn't at all noisy at night
Breakfast for us was included, lots of choice - fruit, cereals, many juices, hot and cold buffet. My only comment is that the milk for cereals was at room temp, but it didn't detract any. The bar area is small, but on the plus side, the drink prices are in line with the bars in Krakow which is unusual, but greatly appreciated!
To summarise - Great hotel, staff were also great (and helpful), great location. I would highly recommend a stay here, and we will definitely stay at this hotel again

I took my Dad to Krakow for 5 nights for his birthday, and opted for Legend Hotel as our base of operations. We had an evening flight and were quite tired when we arrived, which made us very thankful for the friendly and efficient checking in service, but we were certainly awoken when we got to our hotel room. I had booked the premium room option so we had a bit more space and I could opt for the sofa bed (Getting a bit old to be sharing a bed with my dad for that long).

The 'room' was essentially a suite, with separate living area and bedroom, a large modern bathroom with walk-in shower, a separate WC, and large flat screen TVs in both rooms. A complementary bottle of Merlot was left in the room as well, which was a nice touch.

The Hotel itself is very well located, on the edge of the Kazimierz district, less than 10 mins walk to the main square. From here you could easily access a plethora of restaurants and bars, plus some excellent street food, and many of the main attractions of the city. We had a fantastic view of Wawel Castle which was practically across the road.

The breakfast has a great amount of choice and was very good quality as well. We did not have an evening meal at the hotel but we did have a few drinks in the hotel bar, and it was reasonably priced, and they have a good selection of whiskies, several of which we sampled before leaving.

Upon leaving we were presented with a parting gift of some bath salts that came from the salt mines not far from Krakow which was really nice. Overall a fantastic hotel that was excellent value for money, and I would wholeheartedly recommend to anyone wanting to explore Krakow.

First visit to Krakow and wont be the last.
After reading reviews we chose this hotel, it was £300 cheaper then the previous hotel we had looked at. Oh my word it was amazing. From the moment we checked until check out.
The queue was quite long at check in but the gentleman was brilliant, felt sorry for him having to explain the same thing over and over again but he did it with a smile. The room was lovely and clean, with bottled water and free safe. Our kettle wasn’t working and after a quick phone call to reception they bought up some boiling water for us and told us that the kettle would be replaced the next morning. The next morning a maintenance guy came and fixed the kettle right on the time requested.
The room was cleaned every day with fresh bottled water supplied. The beds were lovely and comfortable which is very welcoming after a day exploring. The first night we had the window open as I struggle with aircon, it was very loud outside as our room was on the front of the hotel, but after that we kept the window shut and slept soundly. There is a panel on the wall which you can control the aircon, heating and lights.
Breakfast was great, enough choice and the girls do an amazing job. On check out they have a room to store luggage in which is very welcomed so we can enjoy our last day.Only a 5min walk to main square, I would advise not to walk thru the park on a night, we did the first night and felt very insecure, could have just been us but felt quite nervous with men hanging around and walking towards us, nothing to do with hotel but just like to let people know.
All in all and excellent hotel will be back again very soon. If you book this hotel you will not be disappointed.

This is our second stay here, and everything from start to finish was wonderful, from the staff who were very friendly to the room which was very clean and comfortable. The breakfast was plentiful with lots of choice, and the toiletries in the bathroom were an added bonus.
The hotel is only a few minutes walk from the main square and couldn’t be better placed. We shall certainly be back.

We have just spent 4 nights at the Legend Hotel and it is the best hotel either of us have ever stopped in. We did the Auschwitz and Salt Mine trips, both of which were organised by the hotel for me before we flew to Poland (I paid through the hotel and they printed tickets off for us when we arrived and we were picked up at the hotel).
The hotel itself was fantastic. The staff were all so happy and helpful and the place was spotless.
The breakfast is lovely with plenty of choice. Scrambled eggs, frankfurters, polish sausage and PROPER bacon (not that stuff you get on holiday in Spain) were the hot choices. Then there was plenty of different breads and cheeses and cold meats and cakes and yoghurts and some salad bits and bobs.
On top of that there were fresh juices and a proper coffee machine with hot chocolate and a selection of teas second to none.
We didn't eat in the restaurant in the evening but the prices were pretty competitive. The bar prices were ok too.
The room was very comfortable. Comfy bed, coffee and tea making facilities, excellent free wi-fi (we could watch Netflix and Amazon Prime on it no problem), a lovely bathroom with a great shower and very good toiletries (Dove handwash and Lux shower gel/shampoo).
The reception staff were all excellent, well presented and helpful and the housekeeping was spot on.
The location of the hotel is about as good as you could ask for. Right opposite is a lovely park which encircles the whole city centre. It's a 5 minute walk to the beautiful main square with loads of restaurants and bars on and just off it, a 5 minute walk out of the hotel to the left to the Wawel Castle and Cathedral, a 10 minute walk behind the hotel to the Jewish district and a 2 minute walk to a cheap supermarket on the same side of the street as the hotel (Mila supermarket).
All in all we couldn't ask for any more (200 odd quid for 4 nights bed and breakfast for 2 people!!!)
When (not if) we go back to Krakow we will definately stop at the Legend again.
Fantastic!!!!

Paid £257 British pounds for a 4 night stay without breakfast, so roughly £64 a night. Glad I only paid for breakfast the one time on departure day because we were charged 130zł which is £30 for a mediocre breakfast buffet with the selection of 4 hot foods, and limited bakeries or fruit selection. The best thing was the juice and coffee. Rooms were basic at best, house Keeping not everyday. Beds were uncomfortable with 1 flat pillow. TV channel range was broken only showing a blue screen with sound and not picture. Hotel staff got angsty when I requested more water because nothing in my room got replaced for cleaned for 2/3 days and told me to drink tap water from the bathroom, as well as toilet paper was not replenished. Although they have got a nice outside bar area which is good when it is sunny and not raining and restaurant area is clean. And the location is walking distance to most attractions, shopping centres and main square. I did expect a lot more for my money, I will not be booking again next time I visit krakow and I advise you do the same and spend time doing more research for another hotel stay.

We stayed for 3 nights at this hotel and here is my review.

Only 25 mins from the airport via a Bolt Taxi (50pln) and the taxi was able to pull up right outside. Very quick check in and given our room key. We were on the 4th floor out of 5 floors. 2 lifts in reception were quick and clean.

The room was a typical hotel room about the same size as a Premier Inn or Travel Lodge. Very clean with a free safe, 4 coat hangers (Take your own) and loads of plug sockets. A kettle with free tea and coffee but no milk? Free sparkling water on arrival in the room. Large walk in shower and hairdryer.

You can get an iron and board from reception if needed. Wifi was very good and reached all rooms perfectly.

Breakfast was included in our booking and was the normal type served by reception. Only 1 coffee machine though which caused a bit of a wait. It would be nice if they offered fried eggs alongside scrambled and boiled eggs, we did ask if we could get fried eggs but were told it wasn't possible. A toaster would also be good. All in all though we were able to fill our tummies ready for a full day of walking.

We were also able to book a trip to the salt mines via reception. Great staff all round.

Defo stay here again if we went back to Krakow.

We rebooked this year for the third time in a row as we liked the location of the hotel. We stayed from the 20th to 25th September.
It was certainly different to our other visits, most noticeably at breakfast time with the usual great choice of items being very limited though still great service from the breakfast attendants.
Our room, 407 was adequate for our stay and cleaned to a good standard.
we had emailed in advance and requested a high floor, quiet room, away from stairs and lifts, the high floor we got but unfortunately it was close to lift, stairs and lots of tram noise.
We were lucky to get checked in early which we greatly appreciated, although the welcome could have been warmer, we found the female staff more cheerier on the desk.
This would certainly not put us off coming again as the hotel is in such a great location.
On check out we never got the customary parting gift off the bath salts, possibly due to cut backs, these were lovely the last time so we were disappointed not to receive them this time.

The hotel does not have steps in the entrance and there are two lifts to all floors. There are no steps in the rooms. The only steps are in the bar area but one way is no steps so you should be fine staying there. Have a fab time, we are hoping to go back next year .
