Four day city break with the Mrs to see the wonders of Prague and our Base Camp could not have been better. From entering the building we knew at first glance that this was a bit special. Great very friendly professional staff that just couldn't do enough for us and was also met by a nice glass of Prosecco when we Booked in at reception.

Our room was on the first floor again another positive as we had less distance to walk when returning from the splendours of Prague.
I think we must have had one of the largest rooms in the hotel with spotless en-suit facilities with all the extras you would expect to find. The room as I said was huge with two bay windows that looked onto the inner courtyard so no street view but again suited us perfect as there was no street noise. In fact the hotel fairly busy during our stay and could say we were only slightly disturbed once from returning revellers but soon back to silence.

Unfortunately missed the first days breakfast due to sleeping in but never missed the following two days breakfast. Had the usual European breakfast Cuisine from cake to hash brownies and the usual more healthy option. All fresh and continuely topped up so no complaints here.

Me and the wife returning back slightly earlier had a wee cocktail frenzy at the downstairs Bar and although it was very quiet apart from the odd Guest walking through we were well looked after and each cocktail we experienced was first class.

So yes if you are looking for a lovely Hotel I recommend the Michelangelo Grand.
You are only 15 to 20 minutes from most of the major attractions the city has to offer and you are surrounded by Bars , restaurants and coffee house's that suits all taste's. There is even a major Tesco's minutes away if you feel the need.

Thank you for making us feel welcome....

We were blown up by how beautiful the room is with coffee espresso machine, high quality toiletries, new towels, very comfortable bed, pillows and blankets. Breakfast was superb and breakfast area is beautifully set up. Hotel is centrally located to all tourist attractions, tram and train stations, and Tesco supermarket.

This hotel was in a wonderful location, within walking distance to many must see sights as well as nearby shops (indoor shopping center, Tesco, Starbucks, etc was right across the street). The staff were all helpful and very nice, offering us Proseco at check in and arranging for car service. The rooms were well appointed and spacious. The breakfast buffet in the morning had many options from soups, eggs, meats, pastries, ice cream, etc and everything was quite good.

The only issue and it was easily corrected was that housekeeping staff would leave food/drink items in the room when they cleaned. They are not complimentary. Just watch the bill and make sure they don't add it if you didn't partake. Once it was pointed out to the front desk that we didn't take the items, they took it off the bill immediately.

Stayed here for three nights in February 2022 as a couple. The hotel is well laid out, communal areas are tastefully decorated and kept immaculately clean. Noticing a group of men on what was inevitably a ‘lads weekend away’ we requested a quiet room and this was provided to us on the fifth floor.  The room was small but well arranged and designed pleasantly with a large comfortable bed, small night stands, a table and chair and a desk.  There was a good coffee machine and complimentary tea, coffee and a bottle of still water provided. There was a very large smart TV which we did not really use due to being out and about in the city most of the time we were there.  Bathroom was nice and modern. The room and bathroom were kept spotlessly clean and serviced daily. We both slept very well during our stay here.

We had breakfast included in our stay which we took advantage of every day.  The food was served buffet style and was made to a good quality standard with a variety of hot food (bacon, sausages, egg, sausages etc), continental (breads, croissants, cold meats and cheese), cereals, fruit, fresh juice and also salad options. Very much enjoyed this and we were able to pick something new each day.

The hotel is in an excellent location with Wenceslas Square, the Old Town, Astronomical Clock and Charles Bridge all within a 10/15 minute walking distance of the hotel.  A couple of minutes walk gets you to a tram stop which gives you excellent and convenient access all over the city, a day pass for unlimited use of the tram can be bought for 120 CZK (about £3.50). There is also a large Tesco nearby if you need to pick up any essentials you may have left at home.

We would definitely return to this friendly hotel, our only regret is not booking the onsite Beer Spa prior to our arrival as this looked amazing!

Great regular hotel offering a good standard for a city hotel and is good value. Our room was of a good size with good and clean facilities.
Staff were helpful on the front desk and in the restaurant, note we were able to buy a 3 day tram pass in the hotel which was useful.
The hotel is in a great location with attractions in easy walking distance but alternately near to tram stops and metro.
Would I stay here again, yes its a good hotel.

Recommendation for a trendy and great value restaurant nearby check out Sad Man's Tongue Bar and Bistro its well worth a visit

Just getting round to writing this review for our 4 night stay at the end of July, we arrived at around 10 pm and where greeted by a friendly and efficient male receptionist who promptly checked us in and gave us information on local area and map etc, we had a family suite for two adults and one child, the room was clean and well maintained, really liked the high ceilings and large window which overlooked a courtyard below, the room was well equipped with high end furnishings, plenty of toiletries and an excellent coffee machine, extra touches such as slippers and dressing gowns where appreciated. We all slept well in the comfy beds. The hotel itself was clean and well maintained and covid measures such as hand sanitiser where being followed. The complimentary breakfast in the morning was great, lots of choice and plenty of seating. The only thing we missed was having access to a hotel bar in the evening, but I’m sure the lack of this was due to covid, walking distance to plenty of bars and restaurants and Charles bridge etc, loads of shops nearby, really couldn’t fault this hotel and location, will hopefully return for Christmas markets.

This Hotel is one of the best we have stayed in as it ticks all the boxes. We had 2 double rooms to accommodate 2 adults and a 17 year old. They put us next to each other which was reassuring.
The room itself is a good size with a lovely bathroom, perfect shower, tea and coffee facilities and the best bed we have slept in ! The pillows are lush ! We had the best nights sleep. The only slight suggestion would be to maybe have a few drawers for putting away some clothes, but we found space in the open wardrobe for ours. We had a bottle of water on arrival which was replenished during our 4 night stay. There is a free safe and a mini fridge if you wanted to buy and keep any of your own drinks cold.
There were quality bathroom products provided, Botanica brand, and literally everything you could need including mini sewing kits and shoe cleaners.
The breakfast offered pretty much everything to suit all tastes including choices of cereal, yogurts, fruit, cheese and ham, salads, lots of different types of breads and pastries/cakes, hot selection with bacon, scrambled egg, beans, hash browns, sausages, and a good choice of juices, lots of different teas and coffees. We were very impressed.
The staff were all friendly and the gentleman porters always said hello to you.
The lounge/bar area which opened at 1pm - 11pm was a lovely relaxing environment to unwind, listen to some soft music and have a few decently priced drinks. The bar lady was attentive and would notice when your glass was empty.
We didn't use the beer spa, but you can see it from the lounge and it definitely looks an interesting experience. The lady who was running this was also very friendly and let me have a peek in and take some pictures.
The location is superb. You have everything on your doorstep or just a short stroll away. We ordered our taxi to and from the airport through the hotel which cost 750 Czech Koruna. It is about a 20 minute drive.
If we come back to Prague, we will definitely use this hotel again and most certainly will recommend to anyone we know who is going. Thanks Michelangelo, you were fab.

My wife and I visited Prague in December. We stayed at the Michelangelo hotel as it had good reviews. The hotel is in a good location for the Charles bridge and Wenceslas square . The hotel looks like the 4star hotel it is and the guy who checked us in was very friendly and took time to point out places to visit on a map. The room was a split level room with the TV and sofa down stairs and the bedroom up stairs which certainly didn't bother us and was a bit different . The room was nice and warm when we got in and lovely and toasty through our stay. The room was clean and spacious, had a comfy bed and a nice shower . The only slight let down was the continental breakfast but I knew this when we booked and I am nit picking as an Englishman who likes his English breakfast lol but there was plenty of choice. Overall I would recommend this hotel and would book again if I went back to Prague.

The city of Prague is unbelievable with its architecture, restaurants, and amazing tours/entertainment. By far the best night was the medieval experience, a little expensive but well worth it. You receive a five course meal, unlimited alcohol along with top entertainment. There are belly dancers, a medieval band and swashbuckling pirates. The Michaelangelo grand hotel is amazing, I've never stayed in a hotel so spotless, along with professional staff it is faultless.

We booked this hotel through a British Airways package and it exceeded all expectations. We arrived at 11am and didn't expect the room to be ready but it was no problem, the man that checked us in was very friendly. The room was clean and modern, with all the amenities and the beds were comfy. We were particularly excited about the provision of bathrobes and slippers. The room did get hot, but it was no problem sleeping with the window open.

The hotel itself is very central, right near the metro and tram stops, a convenient shopping mall with supermarkets 2 minutes away, a 10 minute walk to Wenceslas Square and just 15 minutes to Old Town.

The breakfast was great. The ladies were efficient and cleared plates quickly. There were hot food options, various breads, and a lovely selection of pastries, pancakes and even cakes!

Martin on the front desk went above and beyond. We asked for restaurant recommendations and he spent the time to mark restaurants of various cuisines on a map and wrote down the name of each one. We visited his recommendation of an Italian down the road and it did not disappoint.

Our only quibble was the grey haired man on the desk when we checked out was quite brisk, no pleasantries about our stay in the hotel or city upon leaving and just had us pay the city tax. However, the hotel remains 5 stars and we would happily stay there again.
