The Hotel King Charles is a boutique hotel situated in one of the best locations in the city. The King Charles offers you 19 well equipped rooms reflecting the building's rich heritage and providing our guests accommodation near the one of the largest castles in the world.
This hotel is a little gem. Lovely big room, a deluxe. All the facilities you need. Large room, warm, bed comfy, large bathroom with a powerful shower. Room safe and mini bar. This hotel is beautiful in its decor. Very quirky, authentic and quiet . Five minutes from the Castle, around 15 minutes steady walk to Charles bridge. Every member of staff friendly, welcoming and helpful. We had breakfast, once, and found it a good start to the day. We couldn’t fault it this hotel and would definitely recommend it.

At the reception we were kindly welcomed by the lovely Milada wo offered us prosecco as a welcome. I didn't know where to look, I was in awe with the perfectly decorated ceiling, the with historical decorated stained glass windows. The feel of the building was beautiful and romantic. Our room, the junior suite was beautifully decorated too, wow, just wow....

All was fine! Nothing to complain, was there mfor one night and all was fine. If i had to do it all over again i would stay for 3 days and explore the area more. The elevator is small but it does the trick, the bathroom was spacious.

This is a fully renovated and updated hotel and building from the late 1600s. This hotel is in the most picturesque setting in the entire city just a few hundred meters down the street from the magnificent Prague Castle. 1. Staff was friendly and helpful. 2. Rooms were very large considering it was a building going back to the Middle ages. 3. Location is ideal to everything, We took an Uber to and from the airport, otherwise we were on foot the entire trip in Prague. 4. Only negative was the breakfast buffet. Overpriced, poor select, cramped quarters, strange waitstaff. Big contrast to the rest. I suggest skip the buffet and walk into town for a better and cheaper breakfast.

Excellent location to visit castle and nearby attractions. Hotel and rooms with character and a lot of comfort. Staff at the reception is very warm too - extremely helpful and friendly. It is surrounded by lots of restaurants and cafes around the hotel and also as you walk downhill. Would definitely stay here again

The hotel had a lot of character and charm and was clean and mostly comfortable, except that our room did not have air conditioning, and the temperature was about 90 degrees. The location was great, close to Prague Castle--short walking distance. The shower was small. I kept bumping into the knobs and inadvertently changing the water temperature. The person at the front desk was very nice. Overall it was a good experience.

My family and I stayed at the Hotel u Krale Karla for 3 nights (2 rooms). Having lived in Prague for work, I didn't want to go to a large chain hotel and specifically opted for this hotel given its location (in Mala Strana) and features. We were not disappointed. All the staff we met were lovely and very helpful. We had plenty of chats with different members of the reception team while in the lobby waiting for taxis. Our rooms were on the 3rd and 4th floor. It was great to stay somewhere that it unique and we embraced the charm. The hotel was spotlessly clean throughout. We did stay during a heatwave, so I agree with other reviews that the rooms will become hot. We left the curtains drawn and windows closed while out, and opened up when we returned. This kept the worst of the heat away. Breakfast was very good, with a good selection. Again when we asked for anything the staff were excellent - helpful and prompt. We really enjoyed a relaxed and unique stay in this hotel, and again all the staff were super friendly and most helpful. Thank you for our stay!…

On my trip to Prague, my baggage suffered a delay, on Sunday August 6, when I check-in, I make notice of it at reception, and that I am waiting to receive my baggage. The suitcase arrives at the hotel the same day, but it is not until August 9 that the hotel staff gives it to me. Not having hand luggage, the hotel makes me incur a series of expenses (clothing and necessary articles, which I had in my baggage), which, first in conversation with the manager, he says that will assume the hotel, deducting it from the salary to the worker who incurred in the bad service (internal problems are not the client's business, nor can he be held responsible for it) and after my check out on August 12, via email, he evades the reimbursement of expenses, trying to misrepresent what happened and justify the unjustifiable, in an act of null professionalism and responsibility. In summary, my evaluation of the hotel is an absolute 0, not recommending it to anyone, because a company that offers a service must be consistent with its mistakes, and its management has been shameful. 0 professionalism 0 liability 0 respect for the customer…

Mr. Hermida, I'm very sorry that this inconvenience has occurred. My colleagues and I have investigated the situation thoroughly and it is a fact that your luggage arrived at the hotel on Sunday evening. The night receptionist made several attempts to reach your room, but no one answered. He assessed that it was too late and passed on the information about your luggage to the morning receptionist, who tried to call you again during the day. The receptionist did not know you personally and you had your room key with you. He tried to call you again and expected you to contact him to collect your luggage. On Tuesday, the day receptionist decided to contact you not only by phone but also in person. He gave you a message for your room. You didn't pick up your suitcase in person at the front desk until Wednesday morning. I do not understand why you did not actively request your luggage from the day receptionist on Monday, based on the information from Lufthansa that the suitcase had already been delivered on Sunday evening. I understand that your holiday was seriously affected by this situation, but the most important thing for me is that none of your belongings were lost. Yes, my colleagues should have been more consistent. As a result of this incident, training has taken place to ensure that a similar situation cannot happen again in the future. Sincerely. Peter Mosner

I quite enjoyed to stay so close to the castle and in such an historic building, too! Furthermore, the staff was very friendly and helpful. So nothing serious for me to complain about. Just the two curtains weren't fully attached anymore, which made it hard to fully close them, but I haven't pointed that out during my stay. To sum up my rating: I stay with full points.
