We really enjoyed our stay at the Hotel Lippert. As has been said, the location could not be better: with the exception of taking the #22 tram up to Prague Castle, we walked everywhere in this fabulous city. Very good value for money with a reasonable breakfast included. Excellent, helpful staff, particularly Lukas on the front desk and we found...

It is just beside the St Nicholas Church which forms part of the Old Town Square. There are regular classical concerts 'at the dome' of the St Nicholas church at 8pm. After watching, you just go back to the hotel to rest or go straight to the town square for beer drinking.

You will be challenged to find a better location at such a reasonable price. Older hotel with a bit "quirky" rooms but perfectly comfortable/serviceable/clean. Adequate breakfast. Depending upon room assignment, may not be best choice for guests who have difficulty managing stairs. Both of our rooms were on the (European) 1st floor. Elevator up to a landing but another 6...

The check-in was a bit of a drama, we had to fill in all these police forms in the tiny hallway laden down with suitcases while being reminded by the strange receptionist that the hotel has to pay a fine if any of the details are wrong. Now why would I care about that and why didn't they fill in...

This hotel is in an amazing location in the main square of the Old Town. We spent our three days here walking around the town and being in the middle of everything. This is also a bit of a downside as you get all the very late revellers passing the hotel during the night. But the rooms are huge with...

The Lippert Hotel was the perfect location for our trip to Prague. Everything was within walking distance. Fantastic restaurants on the doorstep and a stones throw from the Astronomical clock & the market stalls right outside were lovely. We would definitely stay here again.

If you're looking for a nice small hotel (12 rooms) right on the old town square then look no further. The Lippert was perfect for us. A nice clean, friendly, perfectly located hotel. We took advantage of the taxi service recommend by the hotel which cost us €28 and took half an hour to get us from the airport to...

The view from my room is awesome. It faces the old town square. Love the location. It is exactly at the old town square. So I feel very safe travelling alone for dinner and back to hotel. The room is big, bed comfortable. Wifi is stable. Breakfast was good, with a fair selection of bread, yogurt, fruits, hotdogs, cakes &...

Angry is how I am leaving my stay at this place. As everyone else stated the location is awesome. What's not awesome is the fact they are renovating their entire first floor. At 8am the nailing, grinding, etc. begins and goes until about 6pm. So yes they do have a lovely breakfast that you enjoy as workers walk by you...

I chose the Lippert based on existing reviews and the location. I'm glad I did! The location is brilliant, right in the Old Town Square, adjacent to the Town Hall Clock and right on the edge of the Christmas markets. It is also a very short walk to Charles Bridge. The hotel is very clean, and has a 24 hour...

Staying in Stare Mesto (Old Town)

Neighborhood Profile
Stare Mesto (Old Town)
One of the oldest neighborhoods in town represents the medieval heart of Prague. It’s no surprise it is bustling with tourists every time of day. Križovnický square, overlooking Charles Bridge with Prague Castle in the background, is probably the most beautiful square in the city. Its unique historical atmosphere of gothic houses and churches, cobblestone streets and squares, and stone towers blend together with the modern era. A vast array of bars, restaurants, dance clubs, international brand shops, galleries and hotels bring life to the old city. With its charming and picturesque cobblestone streets, the nightlife and parties will surely be unforgettable.
