If you’re looking for seclusion, this is the hotel ( which to me are more like a former condo turned into a hotel). The staff was helpful as much as they could be but I wouldn’t say they go all out to make your stay the best it could be. As far as any time of events at the hotel itself that is pretty much nonexistent . There is a small bar/grille dining place. There aren’t any time of entertainment other than that. There is a place call Red hook not too far from the hotel but if your are looking for a decent nightlife and having fun this is not the place to be. If your into water activities, your are in the right spot.

If you are looking for a great resort, with great food, and on a great beach with awesome snorkeling; then this is the resort for you! The room on the beach was great and has such a great view from the balcony. Although there were a couple small things that could be fixed (bathroom door was sticky and one of the screen doors was messed up some). The food in the Patio restaurant was really good and the drinks from the bar as well. We didn't get a chance to visit the Sunset Grille for dinner, but heard it was amazing. All of the staff were very nice and helpful; especially at the front desk were very helpful at check-in, check-out, and helping to get taxis. Just fair warning you will heard a rooster every morning around 5 AM or so. That was a little annoying, but not a huge deal. We did have 1 issue on our stay, and honestly it was a pretty huge issue. We went out for the day on a boat excursion, and when we came back (around 4 pm) the door to our room was wide open and our room had been services. So, house keeping left our door to our room wide open for who knows how long. I'm sure this was a simple oversight; but we just didn't request housekeeping for the rest of the trip due to this. I don't think this takes away from how great of a resort this is. If we go back to St Thomas, Secret Harbor will be the first place we look.

Thank you for your recent stay and wonderful review. We love hearing that we are a great resort with great food on a great beach with awesome snorkeling. It sounds like you appreciated the view from your beachfront condominium, enjoyed the Patio restaurant, and had some awesome snorkeling adventures. We are shocked to hear about the door being left open following housekeeping and grateful that all was OK. Thank you for your calm response. We will bring this issue up with the housekeeping team. Please accept our heartfelt apology. We appreciate you choosing Secret Harbour and look forward to welcoming you back. All the best,

Warning! Don't stay in unit 215. I have stayed at this Resort numerous times. Usually the rooms are nice or decent but not 215! It is a dump. The water is beautiful here and the staff is very helpful and nice. The fine dining restaurant on site is not good... I would advise eating at the grill or bar and the bartenders are excellent!

This resort is wonderful! The beach is beautiful and has great snorkeling (there’s a rental shop onsite to rent gear). We saw a couple rays and a sea turtle right off our own beach! The restaurants are tasty and service was good. We stayed in a studio on the hillside and had a gorgeous view of the water and sunset every day. Be aware, there are the number of stairs you have to climb to get from the beach up to the hillside condos, so if you’re someone who doesn’t do well with stairs, I would keep that in mind (although I’m confident the staff would bring a golf cart up there if you were in need). On that note, staff is helpful and always kept rooms clean. The pool seemed to be under some repair and was not filled, which was a surprise to us, but honestly not sure we would’ve used the pool very much anyway since the beach was so nice. Secret Harbour is definitely more of a time-share/condo style accommodation than beach resorts you might be used to, but that didn’t bother us much. Most resorts in St. Thomas are a time-share style. 4.5/5 rounded up to 5 stars on TA! Highly recommend!

We had a wonderful experience at the Secret Harbor Resort to celebrate my partner’s birthday. The staff was friendly and attentive, the views were lovely, and the resort was quiet and secluded. Loved the amazing snorkeling steps off the beach. Our 1 bedroom suite was very roomy and the our bed was very comfortable. The restaurants were excellent. We would definitely return to Secret Harbor Resort!

We stayed at a beach front condo with a gorgeous view of the beach. The room was clean and the decor was updated. The spacious balcony was my favorite part of the room. The staff was very friendly at the resort and at Sunset Grille. This is a great family friendly location very close to Red Hook where you can catch a ferry or sailboat to St John. If you like to snorkel, this beach is for you. We saw parrot fish, sting rays, sea turtles and lots of colorful tropical fish. The ocean was calm, warm and crystal clear. We look forward to returning next year.

It was a pleasure meeting you and we look forward to welcoming you back next year! We are thrilled that you were happy with your beachfront condominium and found that it was clean, updated and had a spacious balcony. It really is nice to relax in your private space outside and watch the ocean and light change from morning to day and appreciate the wonderful sunsets. Sounds like you enjoyed snorkeling in our protected marine sanctuary - it is awe inspiring to see so many tropical fish and creatures in our crystal clear water. We went with 18 people and 5 beachfront condos. The beach was perfect for our crowd.... Kids ranging from 8 to 18 and adults 45to 80. Accommodations were great. Ask to see pics of your condo ( ours was the nicest by far of the group) . The restaurant was delicious. We ate many meals there and had lots of drinks on the beach. We hit a few resorts while on st thomas, and this seemed to be the best

We rented five condo units and everyone -- kids and grown-ups -- was happy with their units. The amenities – beach, raft, pool, jacuzzi, gym, beach bar, two restaurants – were well maintained and provided the 18 of us with wonderful enjoyment and memories. An additional benefit for us staying at the Secret Harbour Beach Resort is that they provide beach chairs, umbrellas and towels that are nicely maintained, so there was no need for us to lug those items to the beach. Also, in addition to the amenities, the staff in the office, on the beach, in the restaurant, and in housekeeping were very pleasant and solicitous of our needs. The staff and the amenities of Secret Harbour were there to ensure that we had a fun-filled vacation. If you wanted to venture off the premises, it was a short ride to Red Hook and the St John Ferry. We truly enjoyed our stay at Secret Harbour Beach Resort and would stay there again.

First impression wasn't great. The receptionist was on the phone, but she never even looked up to acknowledge that I walked into the lobby. No welcoming smile, no holding up a finger as if to say "one moment", nothing. It was awkward to just stand there because I felt like I was intruding on her call. However, our room (2-bedroom) was comfortable. It would be ideal if we were there multiple nights, but we weren't. I did get the feeling that we were in someone's timeshare (which may be how it works, I'm not sure). The onsite restaurant is nice (we enjoyed lunch more than the upscale dinner). The beach is lovely. You can snorkel a bit as well and it's very calm water.

Thank you for choosing Secret Harbour. It sounds like we could have made a better impression and we are grateful that you found your 2-bedroom condominium to be comfortable for your one-night stay. We sincerely wish you could have stayed multiple nights to experience all that Secret Harbour has to offer. We are a very unique and tranquil boutique property. You mentioned it felt kind of like a time-share. All 1, 2-, 3-bedroom and studio condominiums are privately owned and resort managed so each unit is uniquely renovated and decorated to the owner's taste and the resort's standards. All mattresses (brand new), linens, and towels are standardized. The uniqueness is part of our charm. We look forward to welcoming for a longer stay in the future. Respectfully,

We stayed 7 nights for our anniversary in a Hillside suite (621). Cons: the taxis, some of the resort employees and the housekeeping. While taxis were readily available at the resort, they are shared so you may have multiple stops. The prices are per person and were generally $5 each to red hook (5 minute drive), $20 each to/from airport (25 minute drive) and $20 each to Magens Bay Area (20 minute drive) . We also went to the movies (15 minute drive) and that was $10 each there, but a different driver charged us more for the return. Would recommend staying on the resort as much as possible. We were also turned off by the bad attitude and lack of warmth from some of the resort employees and drivers. Nothing that ruined the trip, and there were plenty of friendly staff too (the luggage guy, all the bartenders, one towel guy, a couple waitresses were great), but most of the front desk ladies, one towel guy and a couple ladies at the restaurant seemed like they were grumpy and bothered by us. No greetings back to us when we greeted them, almost mad, not what you would expect from anyone working in hospitality who is having a standard interaction with a guest. Was noteworthy because it happened with more than a handful of people. The ladies who helped me book the reservation were nice and helpful. Housekeeping came 3 times during our week stay and I had to call for it one time. When they did come, they didn’t do the dishes or leave more coffee or creamer without me having to bug them each time about needing coffee for each day. But when I asked they would accommodate. We had a do not disturb sign out for an hour in the mornings from 8-9 while we had coffee and got ready. They seemed to use that as an excuse to not come clean the room at all (front desk told me that’s why housekeeping didn’t come). One day the maid came as we were leaving and when we returned, she didn’t even clean the room, she just left a bag of towels and toilet paper at the door, which was strange because she saw us leaving. One day I intentionally didn’t leave a do not disturb sign to make sure it got cleaned and they didn’t clean it until super late in the day, and of course didn’t do any of the dishes (maybe they just don’t do dishes as part of housekeeping?) PROS: Beautiful, clean beach, awesome snorkeling/marine life (turtles, sting rays, barracuda, tons of beautiful fish, cool reefs) all right there. Was great having chairs and umbrellas set up for guests to use at no charge (people not staying at the resort couldn’t use them), the bar and sunset grille restaurants were great. Selection of food and drinks good, and although sunset grille was pricier, we thought it was worth it to splurge a few nights. Sea Bass and Filet steak were amazing. The bar’s Tuna nachos were delicious. They even had happy hour. We had some groceries delivered at check in, which we recommend to supplement the restaurants. The dive shop on site was also great. We had a wonderful 2 tank dive. We liked the leisurely walk back to our room up the stairs, as the view from the 2nd floor hillside balcony was worth it. Glad we didn’t get a beach front room right next to all the people. The room was nice and spacious. Not like a hotel room, it’s more like an Airbnb condo, but it was clean and we liked the room a lot despite some normal wear and tear. The pool and hot tub was also clean and spacious. We enjoyed that a few times too. We got our fill of St. Thomas and had a great trip. Probably won’t return, but we would definitely recommend this place to stay to others who are visiting. My mom and sister visited a month before we did and they stayed at Margaritaville and did not seem to have enjoyed their stay as much as we did at Secret Harbor.

Thank you for your recent stay. We are honored to be part of your anniversary celebration. It sounds like you enjoyed your hillside accommodation and found it nice and spacious. We are thrilled that you definitely recommend Secret Harbour as the place to stay on St Thomas. We appreciate your detailed description of our beautiful beach, marine life, beach chairs, restaurant, happy hour, pool, hot tub, and dive shop. Seems like your experience with housekeeping was mixed. Daily housekeeping has always been a staple yet since covid, many guests prefer to not have housekeeping or have it less frequently. This variance in guest preferences can cause confusion and we apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused. We are pleased that you had a great trip and that you recommend Secret Harbour. Congratulations again on your anniversary! All the best,
