Was able to travel to San Vicente courtesy of the new airport that just opened October of 2018. Plane fares are still reasonable with PAL but when skyjet and other airlines come in, maybe it will become even better. Picardal Lodge is a basic place, no wifi or tv but you did go there to escape all this right? Theyre very close to the wharf where there is a lot of food choices. You need to take the tricycle to get to beach which is maybe 10 to 15 minutes. good place and cozy, recommended

The staff was very friendly and helpful while we stayed here. We planned on two nights, but since we didn't find San Vicente very interesting during the rainy season, we cut our stay short. The room is quite nice and comfortable. There is no wifi or TV, however. The owners told us that since they own a house on the long beach, they would take us there in the morning in a side car. We went to the beach and had it all to ourselves for a few hours. This really left a good impression on us.

we stayed at the Picadal Lodge for 2 nights, paid 500 php for a fan double room and were absolutely happy with it. The Picadal Lodge is in San Vicente town. 3 min to the harbour and 10-15 min to the 15km long beach! our room was super clean! all rooms have a bamboo terrace. from the top ones you additionally have a wonderful view on the bay! The Filipino owners are super nice and the breakfast is not only affordable (80- 120 php) but also quite good for the Philippines! over all it is surly not the most beautiful place BUT it stands in an extremely good relation to the price!

We stayed in Picardal Lodge 2 nights and if we can extend our trip, we would enjoy more staying there. Is it a familial hotel: all the family is nice and smiling. Francis, the owner, is helpful as possible and he can also provide you good tips and advices for take the best of your trip around SV. They offer breakfast and the prices are ok (85 pesos for two delicious pancake with chocolate and maple syrup). The room are simple but clean and nice. We enjoyed every hours in this place. The prices begin at 500 pesos for a double room with fan and private bathroom (cold water) but some others room have a private balcony and the A/C for 1300 pesos. The best room I guess are upstairs and from this floor, you can enjoy every night a wonderful sunset just from your room, with a stunning view on the bay. There are also middle room for 700 pesos by night. All the rooms are good to stay some days. Nice points: - you will enjoy a fast internet connection during your stay: the wifi is pretty good - they also have computers that you can use for your own purpose - Picardal Lodge got one the best location in SV: just in front from the bus terminal, you will see the Picardal lodge when you arrive from El Nido, Barton or Puerto Princesa. It is also practice for your departure: you can wait at the hostel until the bus is coming for you. The hotel is about 30'sec walk from the market and so, 1min from the best place to eat in SV: Villanueva's Canteen! You can also easily book tour for island hopping because the Tourism Office is at the end of the street, maybe 3min walk and 2min walk from the pier. When you will go to the famous Long Beach, it is at only 15min walk. Finally, lot of little supermarket and shops are around to permit you to buy the basic stuff like water.
