We visited Sheridan beach resort in February 2020, we were two couples and we really enjoyed our stay. The resort is located in front of a beautiful, clean beach with warm water and hotel offers sunbeds to its clients. You can order drinks or food to your sunbed from the restaurant and from early morning till late in the afternoon this area is generally checked by hotel's staff. The beach is not private but we didn't feel any danger, really. Restaurant is ok with variety of choices both in breakfast but also for the other meals. Breakfast was included in our room the other meals not but we ate 3 times there and the food was fine. Prices range in european standards. Staff was very polite, no complaints about that. One extra advantage of the hotel is that is located very very close to Sabang boat terminal (walking distance), where the boats for the subterranean river start and also very close to Sabang zip line. So, there are interesting activities nearby. Also, in walking distance you can find a nice market, restaurants. and massage centers Generally is a very good hotel located in a beautiful place but the rooms and generally the facilities need renovation because the hotel is a little old.…
Stayed for a couple nights after a typhoon cancelled our ferry to Coron. Trip down from El Nido was long and expensive but worth it. Resort itself is nice, albeit a little tired. The pool is massive and not that many people around. Rooms are clean, spacious and well equipped. The staff are all very friendly and helpful (like all the locals in Palawan). Hotel is in absolute prime position if you want to visit the underground river, which I highly recommend. The only downside of the place is the food, we had been in Palawan two weeks prior (staying mostly in budget places and eating in local restaurants) so had a pretty good idea what to expect. First night, my girlfriend orders ‘western style food’, completely inedible. I order local food, absolutely awful. Prices are much higher than going to the local restaurants but I guess that’s what you expect at these sort of hotels. Honestly couldn’t bare to pay these prices so spoke to catering management the same night about our concerns and he kindly waived the bill. Breakfast the next day was okay, lots of fresh food but a limited selection of hot foods. The next night we allowed the waiter to recommend all our food for us, it was obvious they knew we had complained the previous night because they were all being very very attentive. Honestly, we never had a problem with the service - just the food itself. The food was definitely better that night, but not the standard you would expect at this kind of hotel. On our departure, we opted to go for one of the cheaper transfer services to the airport and not the hotels private transfer. This never showed up and we ended up having to book a last-minute one from the hotel (they were very helpful). If you’re not willing to risk missing your flight, I would probably just pay the premium and use the hotels private transfer. …
I Will start with I have just read the last few Neg reviews and rest assured, none of this occurred with us. We loved it. Due to feeling poorly and need of aircon (self-inflicted - not coronavirus but more margarita flu :-) ) cut short port barton and on the advice of the hire car place chose Sebang and the Sheridan. Was told by the hotel in Port Barton "Why? Nothing there". She was very wrong. Amazing drive-in with the mountains to the ocean. Staff more than helpful and the entry once you see the pool out to the bay is incredible. I would have preferred to felt unwell here than where we were earlier! But I was back up to speed on arrival here and everything you needed was available. As per a few comments, some of the tours are not the cheapest, but that is the price you pay when staying at a flash resort. deal with it! We did and had an amazing time. Booked the underground tour, ATV bikes (great fun!) and a massage. Food was OK. Breakfast was nice (great omelets) but a little limited. Nothing to write home or complain about and probably the only thing that could be improved. Nothing bad, just boring choices (Exception being the Sheridan burger - craned into the table - definitely for two people and perhaps three. Tasty but HUGE!) The best part was the pool bar and a night I like to call "coconut brain cell massacre" Met up with people from around the world and drinks were flowing. Lunch led to dinner and a slow start the following day. Happy hours and great service. Kent the barman was amazing. Just a young bloke starting out there but kept us entertained and well fed and watered. A credit to the hotel. While I spent too much there, it was all worth every peso. I loved it and had an amazing stay. A great place and a great base. Thank you.…
A bit expensive, but it's reasonable considering the costs associated with coming to the area. It's great to stay here to be closer to the Underground River. I would say that it is definitely worth the extra expense to stay closer to the tours to be able to beat the crowds coming in from Puerto Princesa. Rooms are comfortable, air con works well. Food is fine, although vegetarian options are limited. One thing worth mentioning: it feels like transfers are padded so that you are persuaded to organize "informal" arrangements, through hotel workers. As soon as we arrived, someone told us that he could help us arrange for a car to our next location, at a better price than the hotel transfer. This is what we did - and it was significantly cheaper - but it seems like the hotel could just reduce the cost of the transfer and discourage this informal skimming.…
