There is absolutely nothing that you will need if you stay at the Clifftop Cottage (except for an umbrella if it rains when you head out). Extremely spacious cottage with huge balcony to have breakfast and enjoy the view and the sound of the ocean. Everything is provided. Beautiful grounds and the feeling of privacy on the clifftop. Brad is very accommodating - just ask for any tips or advice.

Property's Favorite Review
From being greeted at the airport by a smiling Ariane followed by a short tour of the Island in our hire vehicle, we were escorted to our Gazebo accommodation at Forrester Court, thus commencing this most enjoyable journey in this delightful little place in the Pacific Ocean. Ariane made certain that our stay at her beautiful cliff top property with views of the ocean was to be a highlight of our holiday. Our 5-star accommodation had everything. A breakfast basket was sufficient to supply us with breakfast needs for the week we were there. From there, we either used the full-service kitchen or dined at the many establishments on the Island. Our hire car, organised by Ariane, was without doubt essential and during the week, we explored every road on this beautiful island. In the late afternoon, a walk around this remote property through the tall Norfolk Island pine trees and kikuyu covered lawns was most relaxing. On our first full day, we had trouble with the internet, due no doubt to heavy cloud cover, but husband Brad was quickly on the scene to help with a connection. A full Foxtel service was superb and when tired from traversing the Island, provided a most welcome relax without the noise associated with our inner-city life. For someone wanting an upmarket place, away from it all, this is ideal.

We had a lovely time staying in the Gazebo cottage overlooking Cascade Pier. Very well appointed with everything one would need for a stay of 7 nights. Without being obtrusive Ariane was readily available to help if needed. We had issues with TV and Foxtel but that is more of an Island thing than being specific to Forrester Court. In any event Norfolk is not about TV! The property is about a 7 or 8 minute drive to both the township and Kingston historical area but getting anywhere on Norfolk isn't a problem with a car, which is included in the tariff by the way. We did the High Tea on Sunday which was very good. A lovely week celebrating my 80th.

Stayed for a week in the Gazebo. Listening to the sea at night was one of the highlights. Cottage had everything you needed with a Breakfast Basket that was ample for the week and a car included which is a must have. Enjoyed High Tea and Ariane does an exceptional job especially with the challenges of finding ingredients and is high class. Would not hesitate to recommend Forrester’s Court it really was such a relaxing getaway with exceptional accommodation, views and hosts.

Magnificent cliff top High Tea overlooking elephant rock. View and food was spectacular with vegetarian an non- vegetarian equally catered for. Champagne on arrival and finished with taste testing of liqueurs. Hot and cold food and tempting dessert delights.

We stayed in the Clifftop Lodge which has all the amenities needed for an extended stay, and views that you can never tire from. Anywhere on the island is never more than 20 minutes away by car, with most journeys within 10 minutes. Forrester Court gives you absolute privacy in a relaxing haven. Absolutely perfect for families or 2 couples. Would be my choice again on any return visit.

Ariane was meticulous in providing inviting and well appointed accommodation in a truly beautiful, if remote location. The high tea overlooking tropic birds and terns with waves crashing around elephant rock in the distant was excellent.

The setting of the High Tea was beautiful and we were fortunate the weather was kind. The tables were beautifully set and the food was as expected for a High Tea. Unfortunately one of party cannot drink alcohol and when we asked for a non-alcoholic beverage instead of champagne he was told “ there is water on the table and tea later”. So for $110 a head the non drinker had tepid water and tea to drink. We found it unbelievable that a facility that advertises “ Weddings ” and “In House Dining” would have no non-alcoholic beverage available.

Response from Ariane Forrester, Owner at Forrester Court Clifftop Cottages
Responded 3 Apr 2022
Hello Margaret, I am sorry to hear that one of our staff didn't have a non-alcoholic alternative for one of your parties. I wish you would have mentioned this on the day when I made my table rounds and asked everyone if everything was okay. Had you bought this to my attention I could have presented this person with a special something not on the menu as an apology. I am pleased to hear you enjoyed the 12 courses on our beautifully set tables at our iconic Norfolk Island location. Kind regards Ariane
