The hotel was generally what I'd expect from Premier Inn. However, I had to raise 2 problems with staff during my stay - one due to faulty heating in the room and the other due to noise from other guests. Neither of these was resolved. I mentioned the faulty heating a second time during checkout, so that it could be fixed before the room was next used. The staff at that time treated me as if I just didn't know how a thermostat works (even though another staff member had previously visited the room and confirmed that the system was faulty).

The staff were warm and welcoming. The check out process was swift and within no time we were in our room. Tea and coffee making facilities were ample and if you want more just go and ask at reception. Although there wasn't a fridge for storing my 2 year old sons milk, reception were very happy to store it in their fridge for us. The bed could have been comfier but that's the only complaint I have

The breakfast was terrible. They ran out of scrambled eggs, fruit, yoghurt and coffee. They didn't replenish glasses, mugs , plates and bowls. It seemed to be utter chaos. Tables weren't being cleared or wiped clean. There was also a problem with the extractor fan in the room it was constantly on and there wasn't a visible switch to turn it off. After being unable to sleep through the noise I went down to reception. The receptionist was very helpful and returned to the room with me and found the switch in the roof space and turned it off but it did spoil the good nights sleep I was hoping for.

Friendly staff and lovely room with a distant sea view. Easy access to town and near by Lost gardens of Heligan and Eden project. Second visit to St Austell. Comfortable bed and spotlessly clean room. Lovely stay. Jill was very helpful at reception.

Reception staff ok and towels nice. Room too hot and not particularly clean. Sheets to small for the bed, mentioned it at reception, they said that was standard for Premier Inn! Pub next door poor. Front of house manager at breakfast scruffy, tables still had sticky marks from previous evening. Food at breakfast and dinner nothing special. Wouldn't go back

Excellent location staff very helpful and friendly, clean rooms . We enjoyed our 4 night stay. Thank you to all. The breakfast at the Wheatsheaf next door not great, suggest using Nile's bakery a two minute walk away. BUT the Premier Inn is Excellent.

It’s a lovely hotel with the most comfortable and cozy rooms. The receptionists Tim and Sophie were very accommodating and made it so no question was ever too much. Also, the Eden Project is a 5 minute drive away so perfect for a days out with friends and family!
