Booked a 1 bedroom Ocean Front Villa. So pleased we upgraded from a 1 bedroom apartment. Upon arrival greeted by very helpful and friendly staff at reception. Check-in was smooth and within minutes we parked the car outside our private ocean view Villa.
The Villa is self contained. In addition a very spacious kitchen, with everything you need and a large fridge freezer. A washing machine and tumble dryer are included and for easy access behind a cupboard door. All new and in working order. The lounge, and dining area overlook the back deck and the ocean with spectacular views over the bay. A large LG TV, with excellent WiFi and comfortable sofa are very lovely and the bedroom can be closed off for privacy by sliding doors. The Spa bath for two people is enormous. My husband loved it. There is also a separate shower, toilet and wash basin adjacent to the Spa bath. The views over Comet Bay are spectacular. Two sun loungers, and a table and two chairs are on the deck out the back facing the ocean.
We made full use of the Infinity swimming pool once again with spectacular views across Comet Bay.
The bed was extremely comfortable. It's reasonably quiet at night. On the odd occasion some noise from the guests above us but they left the day after.
The location is within easy access to restaurants. We cooked on the stove top and made use of the microwave.
Our only minor criticisms of the Ocean View Villa is the fact there is no oven and in a kitchen this size there should be. The brand new washing machine leaked a little bit during it's washing cycle and will become a problem if not fixed. The door to the washing line was jammed and never opened and the bedroom partition had a piece of structure that fell off.
We were pleased we mentioned this to Ben, the Manager upon departure. It is not a complaint and did not impact on our time at the Villa but the issues we have outlined in our letter require action immediately and will save this beautiful villa from being wrecked. A pool of water from a leaking washing machine is a safety hazard waiting to happen. If ignored over time it will ruin the cupboard and carpentry of the kitchen and somebody could slip and hurt themselves.
We have booked for Easter and we cannot wait to return for my birthdayon April 2nd.
Thank you to Seashells for a wonderful stay.

Bindy, thank you so much for taking the time to review Seashells Resort Mandurah. We are so pleased that our hotel hit the mark for you on many points. Our spa baths, I agree, are massive and truly luxurious. You are right, laying back in the spa and watching the waves lap at the Comet Bay shoreline is something special. Thank you also for the maintenance points - we need to hear this information so that we can address and rectify it so we appreciate this being brought to our attention. We truly appreciate your feedback and look forward to welcoming you back.

We stayed for three nights at the end of our tour of WA. The apartment is spacious with a nice balcony (we were on the 3rd floor overlooking the river) there is a separate bedroom with a comfortable king size bed. The kitchen has some basic things such as dishwasher powder, tea towel and wiping cloths, there was also a small cartoon of milk in the fridge. The shower was fine but it was over the bath so you do have to clamber in. Only one sachet of body wash, shampoo etc was provided which was bit mean but when we asked we were given more. My wife appreciated the washer/dryer! There is quite a good pool area which is also close to the beach, so nice views. Generally the apartments are very well located. They say it is a 4.5 star serviced apartments, close but not quite in my view but we enjoyed our stay.

Stayed in the 3 bedroom apartments they had everything you could possibly need and the housekeeping staff were sooo helpful. Little odd that each bedroom had a completely different design. Would love if there was a restaurant as we had to order in food or walk down to the marina.

Seashells Mandurah seems to have a good reputation in providing quality services and facilities. I don't question the front desk service as they were extremely friendly but the standard of cleanliness of the room I stayed in was poor, bordering on disgusting in some parts. Disappointed!

We stayed one night and wished we had more. A modern spacious apartment with large bedroom and ensuite including spa bath and shower over. Lounge and galley kitchen. The lounge has an L-shape settee, table and two chairs and writing desk and chair. Large TV has complimentary movies on demand. Unfortunately the Wi-Fi like the Seashells we stayed at in Yallingup is awful @ 3.7Mbps / 1.6, the worst we experienced in WA. Large veranda off the lounge had table and chairs and great views over the marina. Kitchen has twin hob, microwave, coffee maker (with pods), fridge, toaster and kettle. Utility area with washer and drier plus sink. Airconditioning.
There is a fantastic infinity pool downstairs plus spa tub.

My partner and I came here from Perth with our 2.5yo daughter for a weekend getaway with some friends and we had an awesome experience. The hotel is located right on the beach and next to the canals, we parked our car when we got there and only used it again to leave. You can walk to numerous cafes, restaurants and playgrounds around and we even went on a dolphin boat tour which was amazing and the little ones loved it. We stayed on a self contained 2 bedroom apartment which was very comfortable and had a massive balcony with breathtaking views. Even though the weather wasn’t the best daughter and hubby enjoyed a quick swim on the pool and spa which was heated. We left saying we can’t wait to come back (specially in summer) and maybe get one of the beachfront villas

We only stayed one night on the way north but this was an upmarket apartment with every facility you could want. Everything g is provided for you including dishwasher liquid!
The location is excellent.
The small gripe I have is about other guests which is hardly the fault of the hotel. Other guests were inconsiderate and noisy late at night when we were trying to sleep. They apologised when I put my head into the corridor but still inconsiderate I think.

We stayed in a 2 bedroom apartment for the weekend with our toddler. The rooms are very spacious, and had a full kitchen with equipment for cooking.
Staff were very friendly and was surprised to see that the pool was heated and we were able to swim (in winter).
The free movies were great to keep the little one entertained and we had no problems logging in and using the wifi during our stay.
Great location, close to restaurants and cafes, as well as several playgrounds in walking distance.

We spent 3 days and found the facilities and location excellent. We were on the 4th Floor with great view of the Dolphin Quay and beach area. The unit was self contained with all the facilities required to stay for some time. Laundry, Dishwasher, hot plate, Microwave/Convection oven, Spa Bath and High King size bed. Lots of storage space and very comfortable lounge chaise. TV of course with selection of free movies. We were able to walk to Dolphin Quay and enjoy the Restaurants etc there.

In a stroke of bad luck we were assigned a floor 1 apartment (2 bedrooms). This was out first visit to Mandurah and I was hoping for a view of the beach that all promotional pictures show. No luck. all we got was the back of buildings and off one small part of the deck we could see part of a river?
When we checked in the receptionist greeting was less than warm, An error was made (by her) and she laid the blame on me, and could not listen as she spoke over me explaining what had happened - that was not a nice start.
The colours of the place are lovely, and the apartment large, but it was also showing it's age. The main bedroom bathroom had an old fashioned step into bathtub (that used to be a spa) to shower. It was difficult for me to step up and almost a safety risk to step out - I had trouble every time.
The worst was the bed was so uncomfortable mattress and pillows. the mattress is in desperate need of a topper and pillows to be replaced. we only stayed 2 nights (thank goodness) as I had sore back and neck each morning from the bad bedding.
The shower could not be adjusted and pelted down from the ceiling it hurt my body, BUT it was hot so that's a bonus.
It is nice and close to Dolphin Quay which is needed re food and drinks as none are provided on site at Seashells.
The pool is pretty but the gates to the beach were inaccessible when we were there.

Hi there, I have this information direct from the property's General Manager as I work with them as a consultant (full disclosure): Their mattresses are called Backcare and they are a King Bed Split - made by Simply The Best in WA.
They can be split into 2 x King Singles beds, or joined together as one King. They are zipped down the middle, but they have a thick Velcro cloth over the top of the zipper so you cannot feel it. I've stayed there and we didn't notice any dip in the middle and i havent seen any dissatisfaction from other guests? It's a hugely popular property for weekenders. Enjoy!
Hey there,
I haven't hired a bike before although I just googled it and this place came up 20A Ormsby Terrace, Mandurah WA 6210 - they do bike & boat hire.
It is a 2 minute walk to the Marina which has several restaurants to choose from. The Peninsula Hotel is approx 10 minutes walk and another beautiful restaurant is the Oceanic Bar and Grill which is also within walking distance.
I would agree, book early and put in your request. Seashells has become even more popular and with winning these great awards. I love the place and stay there each visit to Perth. I am pretty sure that I had 212 last May, perhaps it was at the same time. lol. I will be there on the 23rd but this time am staying in one of the beach front villas, just for a treat.
