Detailed Reviews
This is a lovely quaint motel in a great location. Convenient for hospitals, Zoo, buses. Large rooms, some up a flight of stairs and have a balcony. Ground floor rooms available. Off street parking. Secure rooms. Good choice of cafes in Preston Street or the IGA for great take out meals to have in the room.
Spotlessly clean. Good supply of tea etc. Small kitchinette with microwave, fridge and kettle.
Juniper and Bay restaurant on site does the best breakfast scrambled eggs.
My Wife had to be in South Perth Hospital at 0730 for a procedure (5 minutes drive away) so this was ideal to stay night before and they allowed me to hang on until 11am to check out.
Highly recommended.

Been in Perth 8 years and didn't know about this vibrant Preston Street area. With a fantastic hotel. Very comfortable room. Very clean. Good housekeeping. Booked by phone to request balcony room (steps to go up). Greeting was very friendly at reception and nice goodbye on departure. Good check in time at 12 suited us and out by 10 am. Great location for Perth, Kings Park and South Perth Hospital.
Lots of cafes and restaurants. IGA 5 minutes walk away makes super take outs which suited us as Wife was just out of hospital that day.
Breakfast in Juniper and Ray was really good and inexpensive. Catered for lactose free diet.

What a friendly, clean lodge! Reception staff helpful and cleaners exceptional. Two rooms adjacent to each other with balcony, triple beds, shower room and simple but useful kitchen area. Ample tea and coffee making facilities and the usual amenities available including toiletries and ironing board etc.
Would recommend it to singles, couples and families. Near some amenities such as pubs, coffee shops and fast food outlets, alongside an on-site restaurant ( not linked with the lodge). A five minute walk to the Swan River over a bridge and close enough to visit Perth, Fremantle and other tourist attractions. Thank you for a great short break.

I would never have thought to stay in Como or the Windsor lodge, they were never in my search area. Boy am I glad we found them,,,,a friendly greeting, clean, spacious room, hot shower and offer of room service breakfast. Restaurant was closed but we ate at a perfectly lovely Italian place just across the road.
All in all very happy and would stay again

My husband and I have stayed at the Windsor Lodge probably 20 times or more. It's our 'go to' Perth place (we live in the country) because it's free parking, free internet, close to the highway, good public transport and walking distance to a good tavern / decent restaurants / cinema / supermarket / chemist / newsagent.
They give a country discount and have a nice restaurant on site. The internet can be a bit slow and the price is creeping up, but overall we find the rooms are always clean and it still offers good value.

After a friend who lives in Perth advised not staying near the airport (due to the roadworks) we chose the Winsor Lodge due to it's easy access from the airport and to the highways south. We arrived very late one evening and the night staff were expecting us.
The room was large (could accomodate a family) and clean. There was facilities for cooking but
we only slept there for 6 hours before hitting the road again.
Accomodation is expensive in Perth but the Windsor Lodge provided a comfortable and affordable alternative.

There are far better places to stay than this grotty, dated dump. Terrible food, dirty pool and disinterested management.

We were very happy with this hotel, large clean room and convenient location. We didn't use any of the other facilities besides the room but would happily stay there again.

Totally disagree with Leif T from Brisbane. We've been guests for over 6 years and have always found Management and staff friendly and helpful. Dirty pool!!!!!! - NEVER. like the rooms is has always been spotless during our stays. Love the restaurant, the food is so good, well presented and priced that we plus our Overseas and Eastern States visitors never bother eating anywhere else. The Motel is perfectly situated for those who love to walk, visit the cinema , the zoo or getting in and out of Perth City easily. Our only complaint would be the lack of attention to the rare, but sometimes noisy, poor behaviour of some guests by the night porter. Most guests don't like to complain so he should ensure that all is quiet when he locks up at 11pm as some guests have early commitments and need a decent night's sleep.

Yes, and a Gold Plate winner. Beautiful food served.
