We stayed in a deluxe cabin for 2 nights. You can easily spend a day driving here from Penneshaw (and another day going back) stopping along the way. One day here is enough to take in the main sites, more if you want to hike. Everybody we met were friendly and helpful. The deluxe cabin is simple but comfortable with everything you need. We were very comfortable and it’s so silent - we slept incredibly well. There are electric bbq’s around the park and other amenities. Wifi works most of the time and we got decent Telstra 4G signal. The shop has enough for basic meals plus wine at reasonable prices and other local produce (the olive oil is good) and they sell fuel. There is incredible wildlife around. From our cabin we saw koalas, kangaroos, wallabies, geese and possums.

We booked 2 bedroom cabin. The reception staff were friendly and helpful. Had all the facilities we needed. We enjoyed our stay among the wildlife. I liked sitting outside and watching birds, kangaroos. The location is almost 1 and a half hour drive from Penneshaw. Has little shop and petrol station.

Wonderful tourist park. Cabins are clean, warm, well equipped and comfortable. Great staff who are keen to help and offer advice and information. Highlight is the wildlife- we saw masses of kangaroos, geese, koalas and wallabies. Great location to explore western end of Kangaroo Island.

Excellent bungalows à stone thrown away from the Flinders Chase park. Very clean, great staff, in a wonderful location surrounded by animals. Very good to have some food options on site at the reception, as well as the gas station. Can only recommend this place.

A fantastic spot to stay. The Park has a new kitchen / dining block that is super well equipped. The shower facilities were clean and tidy. Best of all, the Park is right at the entrance to Flinders Chase National Park. Lovely helpful staff. Hghly recommended!

We were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the campsite facilities. The small circular route around the lake was also fun. In addition, the place is centrally located and you can easily reach many of the island's attractions from there. We'd love to come back.

Great location just minutes from the Flinders Chase National park which gives you the possibility to arrive early&leave late and be out of the crowds.. Well maintained sites and amenities and lovely staff with a special shout-out to Christine in the reception! And if you want to see the koalas, this is the place! They’re in the trees all over the campground and it was so nice to see them quite close but in liberty!

Western KI Caravan Park is ideally located for access to Flinders Chase National Park and all it has to offer. As they are a Wilderness Trail Commercial Tour Operator and their close proximity to the trail, they were able to make all the arrangements for me to walk sections of the KI Wilderness Trail. They have basic food and groceries available in their store and fantastic communal kitchen facilities. I will definitely return.

Great place to stay to immerse yourself in nature - not as much wildlife was we'd hoped, but we did see several kangaroos, koalas, lots of beautiful birds quite close-up. The cabins are basic but comfortable & had everything one might need for a short stay. Make sure you do your food shopping in Kingscote before you arrive as there is only a very limited selection of (expensive) items in the on-site shop. Staff were extremely knowledgeable & very helpful.

Beautiful park, close to Admirals Arch, Remarkable Rocks and Flinders Chase National Park. Plenty of wildlife and birds in and around the park. A lovely walk around the lagoon. Nice facilities and a new office and shop since the bushfires.
