We rang and got a table for 8 with 5 min notice, right on tea time on Friday night.
When opening the big old doors, you breath that “pub smell”. The old charm is pleasant and what you would expect in an d building.
Food was delicious, great sizing which definitely made up for our thoughts on it being a little expensive.

Staff so friendly and accommodating, called to check availability an hour before wanting to eat, the meals were excellent. The steak was cooked to perfection, crispy chips & the best peppered sauce. We highly recommend.

Probably the worst pasta l’ve ever had. Description was ‘ chicken and bacon in a cream sauce’ - the sauce was watery and the bacon looked uncooked. I asked the waitress and she said it was that colour because it is boiled in the sauce 🥴 ! Partners lamb shank was ok but the vegies looked and tasted like they had been sitting in water for hours! Ambience was not good. Only a few tables occupied and an eerie silence as there was no background music. Ate the next night at another restaurant in town with similar prices and it was fabulous . So disappointing

We visited for tea as a family of 5. Our 3 kids enjoyed the kids meals (spaghetti and burgers & chips). These were a generous size (& our kids eat well!) I ordered the roast of the day (it was beef) and my husband ordered the BLT. Both these meals were a good size and very tasty. Meals were reasonably priced and enjoyed by us all! Staff were very friendly and knowledgeable about activities and sights in the local area.

We went to this place twice for dinner during a 3 night stay, so obviously we liked it. We chose this place because the menu was varied and well priced. The food didn't disappoint. On the first night, we ordered a steak and the ribs/wing meal. Everything was cooked perfectly and the meal size was generous. On the second night, we ordered a parma and a small seafood plate. Parma was good and the seafood plate was really nice with the only deep fried things being 2 scallops and the chips. Everything else on the plate was grilled and the salads were really fresh. Would definitely recommend this place to go for a great value and quality pub meal.

We had the best meals at this hotel.
I’m the queen of schnitzel and this was the best I’ve ever had. My partner had the chicken and halloumi salad and loved ever mouthful.
We heard other people commenting how good the stir fry was as well.
Do yourself a favour and eat here.

Food was delicious, service was great. We took the family whilst visiting the island and everyone had a great time and rated their meals.
The menu is extensive and caters to lots of different needs. We were recommended the “Queenie” from a local and it didn’t disappoint.

We popped in to have a beer and watch the last bit of the footy. Just what you'd expect from a country pub. Relaxed atmosphere, cold beer on tap, pub menu, sports on tv and just good drinks service. Just off the main drag.
