In desperate need of a refresh and refurb, left as soon as the kids woke the next morning as felt ick. Carpet was worn, had ants crawling over the bed, fridge had excessive surface rust and a/c was spitting ice out when turned on, with no fan or windows able to be opened (during heatwave). The oddest part were the two bedside lamps with light globes that were purely decorative as there were no power points they could reach so had to use bright overhead lights to feed baby overnight. Signs in foyer suggest 5% discount if you book directly and not a third party website however was charged surcharge for using eftpos upon arriving. Price was on par with other local hotels but quality did not seem to be. Will not be returning.

Thank you to Sonya & Ash for exceptional customer service. Rooms immaculately clean and well presented. We enjoyed the common room facilities to eat our breakfast, lunch & dinner with our friends. Being able to BBQ our steak was terrific. Many thanks for the secure parking of our motorbike.

An affordable motel with easy access to the Hunter Valley attractions and the facilities of the city of Cessnock nearby. Comfortable beds, air conditioning, and good wifi. Highly recommended for families as well as solo.

A rushed trip so a budget stay, I couldn't be happier with the service, politeness, quietness, and spick and span cleanness of our unit. The manager and his wife were very polite and helpful even though we arrived late.

I stayed at this motel for a week on my travels through NSW, and would definitely stay again. Bob and his wife were very accommodating and knowledgeable of the Hunter region. We stayed in one of the front rooms, but hardly heard any noise during the night, even with the windows slightly open, despite the motel being on the main road into Cessnock. Although you can easily drive past and miss it as the motel and its car park are set back from view. The room itself was standard for a motel room - comfy bed, Aircon, small bar fridge, kettle, tea/coffee, good size shower, and a good size desk to work from. Internet access was also good, and they do have WiFi available. Only downside most people would see is that there isn't much in walking distance, so you'll need to drive. The main centre of Cessnock is 5mins up the road, with supermarkets and restaurants around. Pokolbin is about 11kms up the road, an easy drive, where you'll find all the wineries - sone of which have restaurants also. If I was coming back to the Hunter Valley again in the future, I'd definitely stay here again.

Stayed a couple of nights in the new year (2 and 3 Jan, 2020). This I would deem as budget accommodation $85 - $110 / night ( weekday/weekend rates) Management and staff were friendly and helpful. Rooms, tho on the smaller side, were clean and tidy. Would happily stay here again

Small but scrupulously clean hotel rooms. If all you are after is a place to sleep, as I was, and don’t need all the bells and whistles, then I can recommend this place. The manager was very friendly and helpful, and I had a good nights sleep!

There was nothing wrong with my stay, the lady at reception was curteous and efficient but not personable or warm when greeting you. The room was clean and tidy though not very large, the bed was relatively comfortable but I found the pillows to be like a plank of wood. The room and the part of the Motel I was in was old in design and you could tell, it just felt 'tired', well used but not neccessarily run down. The room was very quiet though there weren't many people staying so that could change. I gave it an average rating as that's what it is......average. The price for a room is what actually makes it reasonable as I've stayed in more expensive places that are shown up by this older property in need of some attention. Underwhelming is a word that springs to mind when trying to describe this place.

I could not recommend this place. The room was dirty, carpets stained with something of a red origin, paint and plaster crumbling off the wall. It was dated and seems unlikely any changes since opened decades ago. It looks better from the outside. It was expensive the night we stayed possibly as there was an event in the Hunter Valley that night. Even if appears a bargain I could not recommend.
