The staff was friendly and the rooms incredibly clean with comfortable beds.
If you want to know what to do around the area just stop in and ask David.
He recommended the Brook Waimarama Sanctuary and the Abel Tasman Sea Shuttle both of which were time well spent.
The beach, shops and restaurants are within c a couple blocks and the rooms have a small fridge and burners so you can save a few $$ by eating in.

I tend to think motels with Coffee Plungers are superior. Our room at The Arrow had a generous plunger, comfortable beds, generous showers and a lovely outdoor area including BBQ and a great wooden table. If you don’t feel like cooking the motorcamp just through the gate has a place you can get takeaway style meals and coffees. The beach is 5-10 minutes away. It’s true it’s under the flight path for Nelson Ariport along with all the motels near the beach. The motel owner was extremely helpful and gave us a ride to town. Good value for money. If you have difficulty with stairs ask for a ground floor room as they are quite steep.

Good location but not right on the beach - 10 minutes walk away and all amenities are also a fair distance away so my elderly inlaws had to be driven everywhere, with nothing within their walking distance. Rooms are dated but reasonably well equipped. Parking spaces are small, designed for small cars, not the huge SUVs and trucks that we all wallow around in now. Host David and his team are great, and go out of their way to help. High-speed WiFi, hundreds of Sky channels, outdoor table and a BBQ area made for a great stay. Warm and friendly holiday accommodation - recommended.

The amenities at the arrow motel were awesome but what made the stay even better was the great host David. David went above and beyond to make us feel welcomed and at home and was a constant source of knowledge of the area and was always in top spirits (even with a sore arm). The 2 bedroom unit was tidy and clean and was serviced every day to a top level and plenty of space for us and our two wee boys. Enough space for everyone! We would definitely stay here again!

Great location to beach and park. Friendly staff and super clean rooms. Upstairs looks over to beach and campground with easy access. Huge queen bed and owners had made up sofa in case our son stayed the night. Friendly cleaning staff and efficient. Nice wee balcony to sit out on. Will stay again.

All the favourable reviews of the Arrow Motel are quite true! We stayed here for four nights. It is very clean and the rooms have everything you need. It is within a short walk to the beach. The manager is friendly and helpful. Plus it is very reasonably priced.

Greated with a very friendly owner who could not do enough for us. Room was average size and extremely clean. Good facilities and appointments. Would recomend the Arrow Motel to anyone. Well situated but parking was tight. Fair average price.

So friendly and accommodating, can’t thank them enough for our stay that was supposed to be 6 weeks but turned into 9 months. Great facilities, friendly staff they really helped us out. So close to the beach as well the dogs loved it! Felt like a second home for us.

Clean and comfortable. Airy and plenty of light from the sky lights. Close to everything. Good kitchen and cooking equipment. Comfy couch. Comfy beds and plenty of clean towels and tea towels. Very pleased with all aspects of the accommodation and the host. Would stay here again as a preference.

We stayed two nights, 21st & 22nd February 2014. The owner John couldn't be more helpful. The apartment was immaculately clean & well equipped, great king size bed, very comfortable. There's a laundry, clothesline, and a place to wash your vehicle. We would definitely come back here,
