My wife and I stayed 2 nights, arriving at 2PM from Perth on the Prospector Rail PL01 A nice receptionist asked for my name, showed our prepayment, took a credit card guarantee and presented our key with an instruction pamphlet that included the WIFI. We walked along the front to Room #7. The deluxe queen was vinyl wood floored, spacious and clean with a long shelf desk containing a fully outfitted kitchenette(electric frying pan, micro & medium refrigerator), a small table and chairs, a comfortable queen, a sink outside a tight room for the toilet and a nice sized tile shower & exhaust fan. The wall AC was quiet, the secure WIFI was decent and did not use their pool or restaurant. We walked 500m S to Woolworths near the long main Hannan Street lined with noteworthy period architecture.

Travelled as part of a group & shared a deluxe room with a friend. Room & shower amenities were very clean & beds were very comfortable. The restaurant catered for all breakfast needs & evening meals were huge, amazing & delicious. The bar staff & waiters were very polite, efficient & ensured that all our needs were met. Will definitely return.

1st Stay in January - Apartment - 2 nights Excellent accommodation in this Apartment - will definitely come back. We are locals and our air-conditioner failed at home so we moved into the Apartment over the Australia Day weekend. It was a upstairs/downstairs Apartment. Has all the facilities you need. Everything was clean and tidy. Very comfortable accommodation from the lounge to the bedroom. Great location - across the road is the Train Station, walk down the road and you are in the main street of Hannan Street with all the shops, cafes and restaurants. Management and Staff were friendly and helpful. They have a restaurant there but didn't have anything. My husband had breakfast and said it was very nice. Small coffee table for hot drinks would be good.
2nd Stay in February - Motel Room Upstairs - 4 nights Same as above. No problems at all. Comfortable bed/pillows and lounge chairs were great. Really liked them and think we'll buy our own pair. Prefer downstairs but it was fully booked out so that was no problem at all given it's peak season. The rooms are a good size to relax in. Didn't use the pool on site but looked very nice and clean. WiFi worked well - better than other places. You don't hear the vehicles going along the street. TV, Desk, Split System A/Conditioner, Tea making facilities, small bar fridge, toiletries provided. Safe in room. If you wanted cold drinks you could buy them in the bar in the restaurant. It would be great if it had a small coffee table to sit your hot drink on instead of the ground.

We chose this motel because we were taking the Prospector Train to Kalgoorlie for Easter, and this motel is literally just across the road from the station. Can't get more convenient than that!
Our room was spacious, the aircon worked well and the water hot. Not fancy, but clean and functional. There is a restaurant on site, guest laundry and swimming pool, and it is located only a short walk from the main streets in town where there are numerous places to eat and drink. At night the security gates close so you need your room key to get in and out, which is a good security feature if you are worried about that sort of thing.
We ate at the restaurant once, the food was good if a little on the expensive side, but all the staff were lovely.

Accommodation layout was ideal for 3 adults with 2 bedrooms and additional toilet downstairs. Outdoor clothes line in enclosed area at rear of apartment was an added bonus together with provided washer and dryer. Location is the major attraction and it is an short and easy walk to main street. Experienced Wi Fi issues. Initially informed by reception that they were not aware of any problems but the following day the response was that the server had gone down and they were working to have it rectified. Room was serviced daily during our 3 night stay and plenty of coffee and toiletries provided. Defrosting of fridge needs attention, noisy plumbing noises from shower and internal stairs creak and groan when in use. Linen hand towel provided for kitchen in lieu of a tea towel and only a small number of hangers for clothes were available.

Rooms don’t get cleaned regularly, service is below average. New customers are preferred over repeat by customer or visitors. Numerous occasions have had to cancel booking and go to different hotels due to getting put up in grotty smelly mould ridden rooms. Don’t expect after hours service

We decided to get away for a few days and decided to catch the prospector from Perth. This motel is straight across the road from the station so is in the best location if travelling by train. Its also an easy walk into town. The rooms have been renovated and are clean and nicely presented. We booked a seniors rate which was very reasonable. What we didnt realise was the seniors price included breakfast. There was no mention of this when we booked (By phone) or when we checked in. We only found out when we asked how much breakfast was and were told it was included. Other friends who also booked (on line) also were not aware breakfast was included. Having said that the breakfast was very good. Maybe a bit more information from the reception staff would be helpful. We did not eat dinner there because we felt the prices were high for a motel . Maybe if they had a nightly special there would be more people eating there. If you need a hire car we used Racy rentals who drop and pick up the car directly to the motel.

The two retirees along with our family enjoying a train journey for a 5 night stay. Accommodation being adjacent to the Railway Station was very handy. We have stayed here several times previous, which has always been most enjoyable, this time didn't disappoint either. Having requested a ground floor room were allocated an upstairs room, which for me is rather awkward doing stairs. At this particular time, it was rather busy in Kalgoorlie. Upon making a request with a staff member to be moved to a downstairs room, this was done willingly and cheerfully. A big thankyou to them for making the change. Brekkie was yum, made a request one morning for eggs to be poached, no problem. Again, done willingly and cheerfully. The room #39 was excellent, though early morning, guests leaving early making a little bit of noise. A reviewer reviewed "no" internet, we did't have any problems. Kalgoorlie is a brilliant place to visit, which we have done on several ocassions. Plenty to see and do. Thoroughly enjoyed our break, however, our break was spoilt by a hire car company, which will be in another review.

Very basic with relatively no attention to detail, bedside lamps not plugged into the wall and when my husband went to move them his fingerprints could be seen in the dust on them! On arrival we were told our room " was at the front" which meant upstairs but wasn't easy to find the first time round. Breakfast was a typical tradie fry up with the addition of yoghurt and tinned fruit. No teabags or sugar so had to ask for them to be refilled. Waited at reception whilst staff finished their conversation with no acknowledgement of my existence. A tag is available if you want to use it to notify housekeeping that you would like your room made up, we used it but didn't get our towels replaced which is disappointing. On the plus side if you intend using the Prospector train then its directly opposite. Would we stay again?no thankyou

Before booking our accommodation, we read the reviews here and we were a bit uneasy but having now stayed two nights at the motel in room 9 on Thursday 12nd to Friday 13th November 2020,the uneasiness before prebooking was unwarranted. The room allocated to us was great, comforty bed,had aircon and ensuite.
Location is perfect if arriving or departing via rail or bus coach as motel is a direct walk from Transwa/station. Slight negative re: location, long walk to museums and other point of interests,so try to plan ahead to catch the public buses # 861-863 on Hannah Rd if walking isn't your thing or if arriving during hot days.
Would be nice to have a microwave or a toaster in the room but could understand the reason behind not having them as their restaurant is onsite.
Overall, enjoyed our stay and would return if we are in Kalgoorlie again.
