An absolutley gorgeous 1920s house, beautifully renovated. A friendly, warm and welcoming host. The rooms are private, isolated and incredibly comfortable. The grounds are gorgeous. Thanks so much for a wonderful stay Jackie!

Lovely older style cottage. My room was spacious with old style features - was neat and clean as was the ensuite. Good hot shower and a comfortable bed made for a restful night after checking out some of the sights around Geraldton.

Check in was trouble free with keys left in lock box’s. The house was clean and tidy and my room was great with a comfy bed and ensuite. The only down side was there was no breakfast provided a small inconvenience due to COVID restrictions. Would I stay again, most definitely.

Overall we enjoyed our stay, check in was very easy (key safe), the room was nicely decorated and clean. The owners had put together a great information pack of things to do which was helpful. The negatives were fairly minor- parking space was limited, there was no smoke alarm in our room (had been removed), and the tree next to our room was banging against the tin roof which caused some disturbance in the night.

We stayed one night in this heritage house. Pluses are good communication by the owner or manager, a comfy bed in a very roomy bedroom with reasonable block out blinds/curtains, plenty of items like books and antiques and kitchenware to explore and use, the situation on a quiet street within walking distance of the centre of Geraldton, and good hot water pressure in the shower! Minuses were that the no-one was there apart from the guests- it has the historic bed and breakfast vibe which usually is made more special and personalised by the owner being present; and that we couldn't get the TV in the room to work. But the advice in the information pack in the room was appreciated, as were all the previously listed pluses. Would be happy to stay again.

This beautiful characterful house is in a terrific location just a short walk to the centre of town and is filled with art, books, rugs and period furnishings. There's a communal kitchen and some indoor and outdoor living areas. We made sure that we booked a room with an ensuite and it was spacious with a super comfortable bed. At no stage did we see the owner or host which detracted a little from the experience. The information on the Booking.com website and in the guest handbook indicated that basic breakfast would be supplied - but they weren't. The house felt a little dark and dusty and we saw a mouse in our bedroom!

So sorry to see a bad review - so undeserved. We stayed 2 nights on September4 and 5, 3 couples in the house. It is beautiful!!!! We were blown away with it. Historic and with loads of charm. Lovely books to read and great art. Sheets on the washing line by my car - yes but not an eyesore as there was a bush in between. Great kitchen to find extra tea and coffee. We didnt expect breakfast in a COVID time so toast was enough. Bed was so comfortable we took a photo of the label. Nice bedding and furnishings. Log fire but rooms had heating. Lovely ensuite bathrooms. Very convenient for Geraldton town. Highly recommended unless you can only live with ultra modern. We wished we had booked longer and will return.

We arrived with excitement as the photos portrade a historical home stay venue stepping back in time accommodation. What we found was an old, tired unkept home with an eclectic colour scheme and furnishings. nothing was done well not even the unkept garden. This venue was clean and the beds very comfortable but the dunna cover was not even on the Donna. We did not have cups and saucers for the instant coffee or tea bags next to the kettle with power adapters an power cord in every direction form the kettle on the table. A day or two before we arrived we received an email to say due to Covid their was not breakfast. No discount for this omission. Washing on the line next to our cars. It was clean to see the owner do not know about hospilitay is was so said the experience could be so much better for a little more thought and effort. All that was missing was Faulty towers serving us.…

Stayed overnight in the Xavier Herbert room. Very comfortable with all amenities (I had a sticky beak, there was an iron and ironing board, hair dryer, everything you'd need for a longer stay). The bathroom was new, water hot. Use of kitchen would make a longer holiday economical as you could self-cater. Room was super quiet. Everything was clean. I'd stay again if I travel north.

When stopped for one night at the homestead on our way from Perth to Exmouth, we were surprised to see the 19th century building in so good condition and the opportunity to live in. The room was in style, clean and pleasant; the kitchen and dining room are very inviting to enjoy the stay. Although the bathroom and the toilet need some renovation, it didn't change our intention to stay here again the next time we are in Geraldton.
