We recently stayed at Clifford Gardens. We booked a family room for my, dad and the three kids, and and adjoining room for the grandparents. The kids room had three single beds and was very spacious. The rooms were clean and quite large. The staff were lovely and very helpful. We were part of a much larger group for a family wedding. Having the shopping centre directly accords the road was great, we walked over to get our hair done and all the other things we needed to do over the weekend.

After asking a young woman and man how long they would take to vacate the disabled park I was told in no uncertain terms that they would move their when they were good and ready as I hadn't paid for the park. You can imagine my disbelief and disgust when I went to the reception to see if they could assist in moving the vehicle only to be greeted by the very same man. Management should be ashamed that they staff with this attitude. I paid for the disable room be as I had a disabled friend staying with me, regardless of this the attitude displayed by both the man and woman towards a paying customer was disgraceful. Disability's are not a choice, attitudes towards disabled persons and their needs are. SHAME ON YOU BOTH!!!

Response from Clifford G, Manager at Clifford Gardens Motor Inn
Responded Aug 5, 2018
You spoke to myself in regards to the room you initally booked. As we were fully booked that night I told you the room we had was out the front. When we spoke there was no mention of you requiring the disabled room and I had notes left on the booking to ensure that the other managers that were here, knew this was the room you had booked as we do not usually book that room. It was due to the graciousness of a fellow manager that she placed you in the disabled room at no additional cost. You also informed the other manager if someone was wheel chair bound that you would vacate the carpark and move elsewhere. Regardless, as you would have noticed I was moving my baby out of the car after our time off. We did not appreciate you abusing myself or my husband as he came out to actually move the car. As you would notice on every review we recieve we are always commended on our staff and managements treatment of customers. We do not tolerate abuse and this is why you are no longer allowed to stay with us.

This place had a warm welcome with friendly staff. The rooms were comparatively cheap. Whilst very basic, the rooms were clean and did the job. This motel seems popular with trades people. Parking was good.

While the accommodation is older it is clean and tidy and the owners are making their way through doing up the rooms. It was right across the road from a major shopping centre and other stores close by

We have been staying at the Clifford Gardens since 2014. We have a once a year visit to Toowoomba and the motel rooms are very clean and tidy, not noisy, the staff are very friendly and accommodating. It is also very close and handy to the shopping center across the road. We hope to be there again next year, 2019.

The Motel was nice and clean and the staff friendly they where happy to help us. The garage was a bit tight for my car so I chose not to use it but other wise a great stay. It is close to everything and there was no noise from the traffic.

This was my first motel in Toowoomba, by now I have stayed in 5 in total. Loved the spaciousness of the rooms and the amenities. Room was also in quiet good shape. What I did not like was: Toilet had a fair bit of urine smell, even though it looked very clean. My dishes weren‘t washed by room service, which is something the other motels do provide as a service. Generally it is a very fair price/value ratio.
