THANKS SOOOOOO MUCH EVERYONE Andy, Sue, Tony & Sandra
We had a great time at the estate. We booked a room which took our two little dogs. The staff were friendly and accommodating. Location is close to wineries and shops plus great restaurant on site. Every room had parking and there were kangaroos running around the place.
Robert Donnelly We stayed 2 nights in the vineyard rooms outlook over the vineyards ans surrounding areas 5 out of 5. We loved the restaurant menues and staff. The manager goes out of way to see everything is asit should be great staff. Highly recommend excellent venue
My daughter and I enjoyed a two night stay. We were recommended to book a Vineyard Room and the view and privacy were worth it. It was not busy during the week so the adjoining two rooms were not occupied, consequently it was very quiet. Despite what some reviewers have said, we found the bed extremely comfortable and the room is a good size. The staff were all very helpful, both in the restaurant and at reception. The lighting around the hotel could be improved, that would be my suggestion. Good location for visiting the surrounding vineyards.
What a disappointment. It had such a good view and position but everything about it was living in the 80s. The room was old, and badly lit, dust and thin walls greeted us when we checked in. We could hear everything next door. Cameron at Reception was really friendly but what a shock, wifi for only 1 device and then it's $15 per wifi really? Lady at reception was rude and looked pissed off. No room service, no house keeping and the heating and aircon was what killed everything. The bed was uncomfortable and the aircon was so loud that you couldn't sleep. With it off it was freezing! Breakfast was not bad and they had 2 ladies who were just lovely. But everyone else was either lost and not sure what to do or rude. Our son fell over and cut his hand on the glass on the ground which the floor didn't clean. No one came to offer a band aid or first aid kit to wash his bloody hand. Won't be going back.…
We stayed 4 nights in rooms overlooking the vineyards, dams and wine estates in the areas. Waking up every morning to the superb views, fresh air and local wildlife was so refreshing. Breakfast in the Mill restaurant was complimentary, delicious and hearty. Staff were friendly and accommodating, room was lovely, with a comfy bed. We got a great deal for a 4 night stay.
On arrival the twin I had booked wasn’t prepared. We had to pull out the sofa, which was very difficult, the receptionist came to help and then another person. We then went to Brokenback bar for dinner. It was average to ok. Service was friendly. We were late for breakfast and the attendant scolded us for our lateness and served everyone around us. I had to ask to be served. She was very rude. We ordered coffees (that were not included in the breakfast) coffees were terrible. Breakfast was not bad, mushrooms, tomato, eggs and sourdough all very nice. Bacon was cold. I didn’t try the sausage. The walls were thin and you could hear the gentlemen next door snoring. Sounded like someone left their dog in a room when they went for early breakfast and there was as constant barking whilst trying to have a sleep in. On checkout we were charged for a mini bar item that we did not consume. We were not advised it had been included in the charges. After checking the receptionist told me she couldn’t take it off until it was checked into further. She did take it off after I complained about everything else. Avoid at all costs.…
Our stay was really underwhelming. The room was in poor condition with damp in the room, cracks and dirty walls, broken wardrobe and cabinetry in poor condition also dead insects on bed sheets. The room and outside area was poorly lit with no outside light and 4 of the 6 ceiling lights out of action in the room. The front door had a poor lock which kept self opening. Our car got stolen from outside our door leaving us shaken and stranded. The hotel staff were unsupportive and dismissive simply stating there was no CCTV and that was that. We waited outside the reception for police to attend and then for our family to come and collect us to drive us back to Sydney. The staff were unfriendly and did not offer up any help, empathy or assistance in fact they appeared unbothered by the whole event that had played out on their property.…
Terrible accommodation! Smells of damp, septic, peeling paint dark and dingy. The bed is rock hard and the sheet had a hole in it. The coffee for the plunger out of date and only one packet for two for two nights! Toilet paper was on rations. Shocking especially for the high price! quite surprised by some of the high ratings on here. I was really looking forward to staying at "Tuscany" as we couldn't travel to Italy for my husbands 60th. This was a real letdown due to the state of the room. The administration were not great either. Nothing else to say except that it was terrible - don't waste your money. So many other beautiful places to stay in the Hunter Valley.
Quite honestly the worst place I have ever stayed. I have never complained about holiday accommodation before but this one was so bad I had to cut my stay short and book other accommodation. The smell from the septic tanks was unbearable, the bed squeaked every time I moved, the air conditioner was so noisy it made it really hard to sleep. As for the restaurant. The sides for dinner came out only after I reminded them and it was after we had finished our dinner. My Breakfast of pancakes was like soup due to the maple syrup, they must have spilled the bottle. Overall the rooms are tired and in need of a good clean. I would not stay here again even if I was offered a free holiday
