Everything was horrible Shower in Room is Pathetic Short staffed at Front Desk Very Unsafe on Back Door Poor Internet Connection In room Phones Does Not Work at all Room Towels is Not Clean Very Over Priced for Nothing Worst Experience Ever
Limited options in area we were looking for so booked this hotel which failed to deliver in any aspect. Poor service and absolute lack of interest from the reception staff, poor directions to room, couldn’t find it in the dark. We were told the restaurant was full but no advice or information given on other options in the area. Room was 'apparently' a superior, I would not like to see a lower standard (if there is one). Curtains old faded 1980’s colour and falling of rail, cables from TV hanging off wall…. The list goes on. Felt like a Formula 1 for Sofitel prices, look elsewhere!
Not happy with hotel service, didn’t provide us proper amenities in room. Not much to offer in house Drinks. Room & location good. As Being accor member Didn’t even upgrade to next category room………!!!
The service was ok, the rooms were very tired but clean. Our status was not recognised and we never received the free water or drinks. We booked the restaurant for the 3 nights that we were staying and after the first night we decided that we could get better food and price elsewhere, had we not received the member discount, I may have felt disappointed, the service at the restaurant was great but the food bland.
This hotel should not be associated with Accor. As a Gold Accor member I was treated like scum, couldn’t get a booking for dinner, when I asked was it at all possible to squeeze 2 more in, the reply was NO we’d be losing money if we let you have dinner here, no answer on the phone when I tried room service, went to reception to order room service it was over an hour wait, we didn’t bother. On check out they tried to charge for accommodation that had already been paid for with Accor points, the response was oh so we have to “ burn” that …. Never again will we stay here
Appalling customer service. As an Accor Plus Gold member I expect better. No bookings available for dinner, tried room service many times but they don’t answer, tried calling reception, no answer either, tried calling the external number from my mobile still no answer, in frustration I walked to reception to order room service, asked was it possible to squeeze in 2 more people for dinner, was met with the response of NO you are Accor plus member we would be losing money if we did that !!!! So ordered room service, jokingly asked if they would add a bottle of wine to compensate, the response was emphatically NO, this from the “Manager” who complained that he was already 25 minutes into his own time. We have stayed here several times, but never again ! Rooms are tired & outdated, very disappointing stay, couldn’t wait to leave, we went elsewhere for breakfast, did not even attempt to book at the restaurant.…
Beyond disappointed with this hotel. 4.5 stars and it was anything but. The room was dated, right next to the road and the guests around us weren’t able to move without the noise being in stereo. Private courtyard, ah no. Also the restaurant was offered but then advised (in less than 30s) that was full as was breakfast. Still in shock at what a poor experience it was. Location, awesome. Everything else, go in expecting 3 stars and no service and your expectations will be met.
The location is near the corner of McDonalds Rd on Broke road, being very central to wineries and a few shops. It took some time to heck in as there was nobody at reception and we had to wait for kitchen staff to do it. The rooms are quite large, fairly well appointed and the bathroom is also quite big. The shower works fine but wasn't particularly clean - the hotel staff said they'd had trouble getting reliable cleaners. Would stay again (assuming fair price).
Great location and good food in restaurant. I dont see any upgrade in room type as Platinum member as staying in the same room type as when I first join Accor. Gym is off-site and difficult to organise so ended up running along the vineyards which is a good change.
Location perfext. Reception customer service poor. Not answering emergency phone when our room key didnt work. Replacement key didnt work back to square one. Room layout was great had a nice garden area. Cleanliness was up to standard especially the bathroom. Would stay again hoping customer service improves. Restraunt for breakfast excellent service and choice of food excellent.
