Its covid, its suffering, staff great, but felt more like a pub than a luxury escape. needs more polish than smiles. overall good but there was so much more that could have raised the bar. location great, atmosphere was pub like in spots. just let me relax and absorb not reverberate

Looks nice however on closer inspection hotel is dated, rooms are unclean, dusty, stuffy and lack appropriate ventilation. Black mould is present in the bathroom. Worst of all they have situated a fire pit in front of the rooms in which smoke blows directly into room this has caused both of us to have respiratory issues which have continued for the last 2 days! Phone does not connect to reception and no room service contact instructions even when you scan the QR code. When you do call reception you are disconnected at least three times before someone answers. This was particularly poor as they had a loud alcoholic event where people where inebriated and egregiously loud and cackling until close to midnight (11;36pm to be precise - when I had to call to complain)! Bed linen is woeful and feels either like polyester and itchy or the washing powder they use feels like an acid burn - unbelievably the sheets crackle like cardboard when you move. Will not consider staying in this place ever again. Oh and they actually tell you to park at your own risk, whatever that's supposed to imply!

We were fortunate enough to be treated to a night's stay here whilst we were on holiday from the UK recently. As a horse owner I was delighted to find beautiful horse portraits on the wall in the room and the views were stupendous. We ate a delicious lunch out at the front by the fire pit and listened to the possums in the trees. The room was clean and the bed was fabulous; really comfortable. I swam in the indoor pool and my husband used the gym. We loved every minute and it was an excellent base to explore the local wineries.

Beautiful setup, great food, friendly staff. Unfortunately when you pay that much, you expect at least clean room. You would think with all the lockdowns, you would have opportunity to renovate your rooms. It’s not the case. After complaining that room wasn’t clean properly we were given complementary plate of cold cuts. Which is very nice, but when we came back to the room, someone’s hair were at the same spot as before. There is no supervision.

This place has the potential to be very good but seems to be let down by poor management. On check in we were upgraded to a suite but on arrival at the room it became apparent that the room was not habitable. The hotel had clearly experienced some flood damaging in the area of the suite and the room stunk very badly of mould and damp. There were workmen all around the outside of the room working on the flood damage. We asked to be given another room of the type we booked which was accommodated. but without any apologies. This room was better but the toilet seat was broken and only half attached to the base, the outdoor area mouldy and there is a general feeling of neglect in the hotel. After our room was serviced on the second day we had to call the house keepers back as they hadn’t cleaned the bathroom/toilet at all. This was rectified but again no apologies. We also had some difficulties in using our discover NSW voucher because they charged us unexpectedly on check in. This was fixed but only after complaining to management. Staff definitely not customer service oriented!

We stayed here for 2 nights in April. The hotel is in an idillic setting! Staff are all warm and welcoming. Special mention to Tianna who looked after us so well on both nights. She made it possible for us to order from the main restaurant while in the bar area. It was also my sons 5th birthday that weekend which she remembered - and organized a dessert and candle to spoil him. Food is delicious! Indoor pool is amazing - especially as it rained and was cooler. Rooms are clean and service daily. Will definitely be back.

My husband and I stayed at voco for our wedding night. My father in law dropped our stuff off in the afternoon and advised the checkin staff that we would be arriving late as our wedding was that evening. However, I received two calls during our wedding ceremony and reception from the hotel asking when we would be checking in. Additionally, we feel that voco could have made our stay more personalised given that we advised the hotel ahead of time that our two night stay was for our wedding. The room looked like the standard room that anyone would receive, which while lovely, you would have expected at least a personal note congratulating the couple. The beds were very comfortable and the room was clean. Although there seemed to be quite a lot of mosquitos in the room. The buffet breakfast was excellent and the coffee was great. Overall, giving the place 3 stars as the hotel need to work on their service.

We celebrated my birthday by staying here & we loved it. Our room with the balcony overlooking the grounds was perfect for sitting down at sunset with a bottle of red & a cheese platter. The rooms was comfortable & the grounds are a pleasure to walk around. Visiting the pigs & chickens was a great little treat! The bar area is also fantastic & we spent a couple of hours there playing pool & backgammon one afternoon. All the staff we met were absolutely delightful & couldn't have been more helpful. We'd highly recommend staying here.

Missing Window!!! How can you not see a broken huge missing window if the rooms had been cleaned properly, never have I been to a place without a window but the reception staff didn’t seem to be bothered at all with this or anything else. The whole visit was terrible and much nicer places to stay in Hunter valley, Also No Wi-Fi at all within the resort swimming pool absolutely freezing and room terraces hadn’t been cleaned for a long time, overall a complete place to avoid
