We stayed at Crystalbrook Kingley for one night, our first time in Newcastle, and we loved it. The staff at reception were kind, welcoming and helped us with some local tips on the best places to eat and visit for drinks. We had arrived early and didn't expect to be able to check in till later, but the room was ready and they were more than happy to let us in early. The room was comfortable, modern and exactly what we wanted. The rain shower was amazing and small touches such as a Google Chromecast were nice to have. We had breakfast at the Roundhouse restaurant and the food was plentiful, high quality and the staff very attentive. We'll be back as we are keen to try the Roundhouse restaurant for dinner on our next visit.
Had the pleasure of staying at the Crystalbrook Kingsley, Newcastle on its opening day. Accommodation was excellent, the room had all the necessary amenities, very quiet and the beds were very comfortable. Sadly, the Roundhouse Restaurant was not open for dinner but was open for breakfast. Attentive and very polite staff presenting first class food for breakfast. Fantastic views. Had lunch at the hotel’s Miss M’s Cafe in the afternoon, again attentive and polite staff serving delicious food. Romberg’s Bar was open during the evening serving interesting and mouth watering bar snacks. Staff at the bar were again attentive and polite. All up, excellent hotel with great staff. Look forward to a return visit.
Overall, great hotel. Well located in Newcastle. The room had a full view of the park, the king bed was comfortable and reasonable size bathroom and shower. The staff were friendly and check-in/out was seamless without paper receipts. We had breakfast on the top level with the 180 views of Newcastle but be wary of the price per head. Would stay here again.
Overall, a very good hotel. Staff are friendly and efficient. The hotel is well appointed and rooms are comfortable. A few things are a bit of a let down. It was unfortunate that Covid restrictions meant we couldn't enjoy almost all the key benefits, like bar or restaurant - we weren't even allowed to look. And room refresh etc was massively restricted. Understandable, however given the dramatically reduced services, the visit wasn't good value for money. We ordered in room dining once - the menu is really lacking (two or three mains, such as a pulled beef burger with nothing but bun and pulled beef for $24), and quality isn't great. Oh, and the wrong meals were delivered so we had to wait longer for the right one to be retrieved (so mains were lukewarm). Although the tablet had lots of information, the layout was confusing and circular (3 or 4 links pointed to the same pages, and some of the pages to request service didn't make much sense). Oh, and 'standard' information like checkout time was nowhere to be found. A usability analyst would be able to rectify these niggling problems quickly. Overall, this would be a great hotel at other times when the bar, restaurant and room refresh was available, as honeysuckle venues are just a few minutes away. I'd rate it 4 star. …
Amazing!! The Room on the 8th floor had Full views of the Harbour, comfortable king size bed, very soft pillows, bathroom, shower and toilet are very spacious and the Designing was fantastic and has a large 55"TV not like other places where you have to squint to see. Staff are very helpful and polite. we had dinner at the Roundhouse on the 9th floor and we sat directly above our room overlooking the Harbour and had a 180 deg. view of Newcastle, the food was amazing and the staff were absolutely fantastic, we are still boasting about our stay with friends and family and work colleagues!! Thank you for a memorable evening!!
