PET FRIENDLY IS NOT PEOPLE FRIENDLY! I had just finished 3rd straight day driving with an elderly client & my support Dog & needless to say we were exhausted. I’d have given ANYTHING for a good night sleep but it was not to be in the cabin I was allocated. Upon entering the cabin I went straight to examine the bed & I was horrified! I called reception immediately & asked if I could be moved. In short the answer was No! I was in the only “pet friendly cabin” available! Well, my dog doesn’t have a kennel because she sleeps in the house but if she did have a kennel it would be a nicer place to stay than this hovel! People who love their pets enough to take them on holiday or people like me who also have a pet as a necessity & for work, WOULD GLADLY PAY EXTRA TO BE AFFORDED THE SAME COMFORT AS PEOPLE TRAVELING WITHOUT PETS OR WORSE STILL WITH CHILDREN! The mattress in the cabin needs to be burned. There was no comfort to be found & with only a tiny electric air heater in the bedroom in Dubbo in the MIDDLE OF WINTER, it was a miserable night! If we hadn’t have been so exhausted & had more time in the day I’d have gone somewhere else.

There appears to have been quite a lot of rain in Dubbo recently and this park has suffered. The van and camping sites were all at the low end of the park and were severely impacted by water. It rained all night and I was worried that my Motorhome might be bogged. I managed to get out but there was significant wheel spin before I was free.

A compact site 2km walk from the town center. Friendly helpful staff. Amenities clean - a bit older but everything in working order including a small pool and bbq area. We camped but there are cabins available too. Located in a busy road amongst the car dealerships BUT the site is quiet and you can’t hear traffic noise etc.

Park is ok, a bit spread out so be prepared to hike to the kitchen or the shower block Plus unless you have a huge power lead a powered block may not work (lucky for us we could move so we could reach the power outlet) The amenities are a bit 1960's and that is generous and as it rained a bit recently quite a bit of mud around

Two nights accommodation was paid for on the basis that if only one required, the second could be refunded. The second wasnt required but the owners refused the refund on the basis that relieving managers were in charge at the time and they werent responsible. Be careful if staying here.
