Great location, bar prices reasonable and some meals very cheap. Good bed and lovely sheets. Pillows very flat , not able to get a second pillow when I asked. Room small and no furniture apart from 1 bedside table and lamp. Window pane had a gap between it and the frame. No cover on bathroom drain. Very old building, there was a hole in the ceiling above the bed which happened to leak due to consistent rain and woke me up dripping onto carpet and sheets. Really not nice and well overdue for some maintenance.
I know you get what you pay for and the T-Bone steak night on Tuesday Night was $12... though they charged an extra $3 for sauce. So $30 for two meals seemed reasonable. Was I sadly msitaken. The steak was tough, chewy and full of grissle.. pratically inedible. Then there was the pepper sauce...they used white pepper and it was so peppery that you could not eat it. The only reason that I gave two stars is the vegetables were ok. On the updside the staff were friendly and food was delivered quickly.
Walk to the first homeless person, and hand them $85. That will be money better spent than paying for one night here. Avoid! Lift doesn’t work. No wifi. Room STUNK (vomit mixed with detergent), beds old and uncomfortable. The pub is great and the food nice. But the hotel? Avoid. Stay at the IBIS for a little more. This is a hotel which should charge by the hour, if you get my drift. Pub great, hotel horrible.
We had a 2-night stay here. Very budget-friendly and the location of the hotel is right in the heart of Dubbo, we have all happening around and of course, this hotel has night club too, so weekends are pretty busy :) The only concern in regards to this hotel is NOT having a lift, we have given the 3rd floor so need to drag bags all the way UP by stairs!! Please keep in mind, this is old hotel and budget-friendly, so things will be according to the amount you paid :) Overall, we enjoyed our stay here.
This was the worse place to stay at... TV didn't work, shower didnt work properly, bin wasn't emptied, mould on bathroom roof, cracks on all walls and was just unpleasant to stay and all the staff offered was $20 off the total which was quite dear for a pub stay...what a joke So DO NOT STAY HERE...
