Stayed there for 3 nights in a queen room that is located on a separate building. It was a quiet and nice room. Staffs were great as well. The kitchen area in this building was empty almost all the day.
I arrived late in the afternoon to find the reception was closed, however my key was waiting for me so checkin was a breeze. The room was very comfortable and warm with a double bed and private bathroom. The common room was clean and had everything you could ask for. During my time here I met some lovely people that we ended up skiing, drinking and hanging out with. The lodge is in very close proximity to the centre of town and only a 2min walk to the grocery store. The only issue we had was parking around the lodge but it wasn’t too much of an inconvenience. Upon checking out I was invited to keep my bags in a locked room whilst I went to kill time in Queenstown. Arriving back to the accomodation and hour before my shuttle picked me up I was invited to chill out in the lounge area and wait for my shuttle. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Will definitely be back again.…
Never suggest anyone to go. They don't change bedsheet and blanket. I can't see some dirty spot and hair on bed :( 1 star is still too much I would give 0 or less if I could.Staff is so unrespectful and tough
We stayed in a double room with shared bathroom which was not too bad as only one other double room shared with us, it was a free standing building which we were on the second level which also had the lounge, kitchen & table area, below were 4 other rooms with there own shared bathroom. The bed was comfortable but I would prefer white linen as the navy bedding was a little tired and was difficult to see whether it was perfectly cleaned. We received a towel each but there was no where to hang them to dry in your room or bathroom, when I asked for dry ones, I was told that they don’t usually replace the towels over the stay, which we were staying 3 days and could not dry them, she did get me 1 new dry towel though. The room felt secure but the fire alarm going of at 4am was a worry as no one came until I rang and woke somebody up while 6 couples stood in the car park which turned. Out to be a faulty smoke detector. Small rooms with no tv cupboard, shelves or anything, lounge tv did not work, kitchen ok although very little cutlery and area was a little worn as was the furniture, could do with a good scrub. Bathroom was very clean but needed a shelf to put your things and rails for towels and clothes, I would normally say it was expensive but all the accommodation in Queenstown is so over priced. We did have car parking and it was in the centre of town and a short walk to everything. Sally was lovely and if you are not too fussy, I would recommend a stay…
First stay in a hostel, everywhere else was fully booked and I was dreading it. In a couple but they only had bunks left, and we spent 4 nights in a 4-dorm (2 bunks). The place was mostly clean, we saw the staff doing the hoovering etc every day. I made a 'den' on my bunk by hanging a sheet up and i actually slept pretty well. No alcohol allowed after 10pm. Staff were sometimes friendly sometimes grumpy. If we'd been in the 10-bunk our experie ce might not be so good, one of the girls said it stank.
