A bit disappointed on entering, as the side entrance has a sports bar and gambling room. However, when we found the restaurant the food choice was extremely good, although the service was a little slow.

Budget Motel
We were in the motel section of the large hotel and motel complex. The room was huge. Heaps of room with every amenity. The kitchenette was well laid out and appointed. There was a designated seating area and everything was clean and comfortable. There was also a good laundry but only one machine and one dryer so at times a lengthy wait would be necessary i.e. in holiday periods. The only downside was the rooms were a little dated and in need of sprucing up a little.

What a beautiful gem
We booked this online without knowing anything about it but what we had read. What a gem, loved the lobby area and how you could get around to their nice restaurant or to bar/ sandwich restaurant without going outside. The room was great, with 2 doors, one in the rear where you park your car... so easy to get your luggage. The other door entered the lobby hall entrance. We did are laundry there, nice facilities. Reasonable priced. We stayed there 2 nights and had a comfortable stay. They were still upgrading and painting but didn’t disturb us at all.

You know you have found quality!
This is a repeat visit to this hotel and this time stayed in one of the motel units. Whilst I have not been to this venue for nearly 12 months, I was greeted as though it had been only yesterday. I true reflection of the quality of the staff at the Ascot. I had others staying at the venue; both hotel and motel and they made similar comments about their enjoyable stay. Well done Ascot - you are a credit to the hospitality industry.
