The staff were excellent - welcoming , helpful and very efficient. Unfortunately the restaurant was not open due to staffing issues, but the continental breakfast (15$) was good value. The bedroom was comfortable with plenty of space and good complementary soaps/shampoos etc. The decor in the room was a little “tired”. The hotel has no sea view and is a few hundred metres back from the beach, but as a consequence is quiet at night.

We stayed here for 2 nights, and based on price paid we have nothing to complain about. We were able to do out laundry on-site which is a bonus as we are travelling for a few months with limited items. The bed was a bit creaky but one of us just slept in the other bed. The room was spacious with your basic amenities provided. Location is perfect and walkable. We cannot find anything to complain about based on the price paid.

The front of house gentleman was awesome. He was helpful over the phone and friendly with a great personality in person, he even got the room shut up and heated prior to our arrival for our comfort. The room was amazing but the beds could do with a topper for a better nights sleep. We will be back and making referrals :)

Room very clean and comfortable, we enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay there again. The motel is close to amenities and activities. Initially we were given a room above the carpark, however we found it quite noisy so asked about rooms behind the swimming pool as this was where we had stayed previously. The manager Ignacio very kindly allowed us to move (there was a small extra daily charge), this made our stay much more relaxed and enjoyable. Breakfast on site was basic but a good start to the day. The little pastries were fresh out of the oven and very delicious.

Sadly this hotel does not have an acceptable standard of repair, decoration and cleanliness, which is a shame because the staff are friendly and helpful and the location is good.
In particular the curtains were stained and falling off the track, the bathroom was extremely dated with some fittings broken and the plants in front of the balcony were dying.
We paid an extra $30 per night for a downstairs room which was supposed to be better. It was not.

Really excellent value for money. Clean room, great beds - comfortable with lovely white starched linens, comfy pillows, clean white towels. Big shower room. We had the included breakfast which was very basic but adequate ( not worth purchasing separately). The Ritz it is not, but it was great for a 1 night stay for the 3 of us! I would recommend this budget hotel

Staff need to have knowledge or at least know taxi companies available instead of saying no taxis available. we were knackered as our flight got delayed twice and then find out our room was 213 all the way at the back up a steep driveway with no trolley available for luggage. a long day and then mini fridge doesn’t have any water bottles as well. Was advised closest town (williams road) was a 10min walk but it’s been a long day and 10 min walk meant 20mins. We found a taxi and he’s been operating in paihia for over 20yrs. laundry room really dirty. needs a good clean and paint at least. rooms are outdated. gap below door is really big any insect can come as they please. rooms clean but bed inner duvet had a foul smell. pool was yuck & mouldy but reception said it gets cleaned everyday but it was there everyday. wifi really weak so i was only able to use wifi at laundry room block 100. It definitely ain’t no resort!

Kia Ora lungz02, Thank you very much to sharing your feedback about your stay. It is disappointing to see that on this occasion we couldn’t deliver on the usual high standard of service and facilities which we strive to ensure that all of our customers experience. Upon check in, we always ask our guest who doesn't come with their own car if they need the luggage deliver to their room or they need any help. Our staff is well trained to know that there is taxis in Paihia, however we also know that not all the time accept the job Thank you once again for taking the time to provide us with your feedback and we remain hopeful that we have another opportunity to welcoming you back in the near future. Regards PPRH Team

The room was clean and decent size but the room and bathroom walls and doors need redecorating and at least a fresh paint job. The sliding window didn’t close properly either and I got some odd reason that it was designed that way to let in air. The way to access the room meant I had to walk along the side of the hotel where the bins are without a proper sensor light or set of them. I didn’t feel comfortable walking back that way. The hotel itself was locked and dark after 7. I did ask them to turn a light in at the front and they did do that. The pool was fine but the jacuzzi was half filled with old water and not working. Overall not a good experience despite cheery staff who I felt had no control over changing the situation.

We booked for 3 nights because of all the amenities this place had to offer - Pool, Spa, Sauna, hotels own bar/Restaurant.
However, upon arrival we soon found out the restaurant/bar wasn’t to be open as they don’t do this anymore, the sauna doesn’t work, the Spa pool was not clean (murky brown water and half full). Quite disappointed as we booked because this place had all these things to offer.
There was no ironing facilities in room - had to ask for this, no phone in room.
We went out for the day at 8am and left the “Service room” sign on door, arrived back at 5pm and nothing had been touched, had to ask for clean dry towels etc
Breakfast was basic bread to toast, mini croissants, muesli, yoghurt and fruit. Wouldn’t pay the $15 for this, best to get a breakfast at one of the many cafes close by.
Location was great, easy walking distance to shops, cafes, restaurants and bars. Amongst all the issues, the Staff were very friendly and helpful.
Wouldn’t be first pick for the next visit, but would go back if all these things are fixed. Has great potential.

Just had a week here between Xmas and New Year and it was terrific. The location is great, being close to the beach (10 min walk) and shops/cafes etc but far enough back from the main road to make it quieter. The property is well laid out with great landscaping and amenities, in particular the pool and spa, which were in good condition and very clean. (Maintained daily) The room was a good size and always serviced to a high standard and although the beds were a little hard for us, having crisp clean sheets every day and comfy pillows was heavenly. The breakfasts were of good quality, varied and plentiful with the option of having it inside or outside by the pool. All of the staff were so happy to help with anything and are always smiling which makes all the difference to how welcome you feel. All this at a price that was very competitive and provided excellent value for money. Happy to recommend this hotel and staff to anyone ****
