I didn't arrive until after midnight, but the staff were still looking fresh, pleased to see me and ready to help. The valet parking was excellent with the return only taking a very short time. The drink at the bar was most welcome as well.
Rooms decorated of a high standard, comfy beds , easy to get around hotel, staff very friendly, we had a very lovely meal in the restaurant, service quick - salmon was divine, the parking was so easy even with all the renos going on.
The staff very nice just the restaurant was not sophisticated bringing desert when not finish the Maine meal also paying $25 for a night parking could have been free , a part this the rest was ok staff very nice and friendly would come back in the hotel when back in Hamilton but wont go to the restaurant for dinner
I stay at the Novotel for business often. It has always been good and I have been happy with every aspect. On arrival this time, the front desk asked me to wait whilst they sorted receipts. My bag had not been taken to my room during the day as promised and as per usual; the room had a powerful chemical smell and I had to be shifted. There was no in-room dining menu in my room. The hand basin in the bathroom of the second room had not been cleaned; the coffee mugs had not been washed thoroughly and I had to wait for over 75 minutes for my in-room dining! I strongly recommend that the hotel take a look at their quality control especially around the cleaning. The young woman on the front desk when I returned in the evening could not have been more helpful however about the smell in my first room and changed it without any discussion. This was appreciated…
Hotel Staff are excellent, but what is going wrong in with the restaurant menu? A new menu is needed ASAP please, Breakfast never any food Out? Why the big cast iron pots? They are very difficult to remove lids and put down, even worse when restaurant is full. I have been asking for years for a proper toaster, where is the new restaurant manager?? Somebody should be asking customers for their opinions and checking on food Adit does his bit when he is on duty, the staff work very hard but need to be guided.
