We haven’t stayed here since it has been refurbished and under new ownership but we were not disappointed! Very friendly greeting from reception and the room was great, it is a little small but that’s understandable as they have had to remodel the existing rooms which they have done really well, fitting a modern and well lit shower cubicle, basin area and separate toilet in the existing space.

The view was also good of the city.
The TV was HUGE which impressed my husband and the bed was soo comfortable..perfect actually.

There is no room for a desk which may affect some people’s decision. The only thing I’d like to suggest is to install a full length mirror as that’s very useful for people getting ready to go out. There are several spots I noticed where one would fit easily.

The air conditioner is somewhat noisy and it might be hard to sleep with that on in Summer..

But overall we were very happy and will come back yet again!

Initially apprehensive about the aged exterior of the building, my concerns quickly vanished upon entering the stylish and pristine lobby, where the staff greeted me warmly. The rooms, though compact, boasted modern decor, spotless surroundings, and incredibly comfortable beds. Perfectly located in the heart of Perth, the hotel offers convenience at its best. My stay was brief, so I didn’t explore the pool or other amenities, but based on my excellent experience, I highly recommend it.

I (F) made the mistake of sharing a room with my brother at the Aurea Hotel near Kings Park. It was as awkward as hell having a completely open plan bathroom with only frosted doors separating the toilet and shower from the main room. There wasn't even anywhere to change in private after having a shower as the cubical had no hooks. There are also automatic lights at the bottom of the bedside tables that turn on and off all night seemingly without movement. Breakfast was included in our room rate which was good but took a long time. The hotel was nicely furnished but the with the awkward layout of the rooms I wouldn't stay here again.

Modern decor and fixtures designed by someone who has not stayed in a small room. No desk or chair, you can only sit on the bed. Auto sensor lights in side tables that go on and off all night without any movement. Very noisy as doors don't seal and are slammed shut. Fridge also noisy. Ensuite excellent and all staff were very professional and helpful. Just difficult to relax without the basics.

The service was amazing, loved the staff, they were so nice and always helped when I needed some help with getting to places.

The swimming pool is small, but the area around it was cosy to sunbathe in, and around 16 o'clock the sun went away and on hot days it was nice to get some break from the sun.

The only bad thing was two single beds, but that was a booking.com thing and had nothing to do with the hotel.

Room Tip: It is not too close to the center but it is only a 20 min walk.

Lovely little hotel, about 15 mins walk from city center. Would recommend having a car as buses to/from city are not consistent. (or walk!)

Decent room size but no work table. So it’s much more a leisure hotel. Went down to the cafe to work most mornings.

Very helpful staff, available round the clock. Timely clean ups of room.

Loved the auto lights when late at night, under the side tables. So thoughtful.

Very near Kings Park - where you can hot up to for a coffee or meal.

Affordable and comfortable stay.

Great location. Fairly central but not in the heart of it. Smallish room but clean and comfortable. Strange light switches though which we couldn't quite figure out. Some rooms seemed to have balconies overlooking the park which was probably nice though ours didn't have one and had a view of the parking lot. Cafe was good and the staff were very helpful and polite.

Enjoyed our stay at this lovely little renovated hotel very much. It was fresh and very clean with everything you could need. Staff were lovely. Enjoyed a nice breakfast and a drink at the bar. Good position and our room was very quiet. A slow 30 minute amble into the city. Recommend and would stay again.

Super friendly staff, easy check in, rooms just like the pictures. Everything was very clean and our room was serviced daily on request. The size of the room was fine - one of us had enough room to hang clothes up in the small wardrobe and there was a table/chair that the other could put belongings. We felt very safe and it wasn't too much of a walk into the central city area.

The toilet only had a glass door and one that had a big gap at the top of the door, and you're in very tight quarters so it's definitely lacking privacy. Water also leaked outside the bottom of the shower door because of the way the shower drain worked. The window didn't give much of a view, and when upstairs neighbours moved in it was very loud.
