The Sebel is not in the middle of downtown or even on the edge, and there are absolutely no conveniences around it . You’ll have to go two blocks to the outlet mall for bad fast food. Or take the bus if you want to go anywhere. It’s a good 20 minute walk from the center city.

But for me, there was enough right about the Sebel that I would probably choose to stay there again. First, the apartments are quite nice—they provide good quality toiletries and towels, and a mini kitchen and all the dishes you will need. The balcony is a nice touch and here is an in room washer and dryer, with an economical 10 minute cycle for wash. The air con works well. And the gym though small, is really complete, with double pulley, three weight stacks, barbells, leg press and a few cardio machines including a rower. It’s open 24/7 and everything is high quality matrix brand, and relatively new. There is a nice 22 meter pool. You’ll have to pick your moments to swim because it is narrow, but it worked for me.

Other guests have complained about cleanliness or maintenance, i didn't have any of these problems. Everything was in good working condition. It was not luxe, but it was certainly good enough for four star rating. The housekeeping is weekdays only though and if you want a late check out you might have to pay (though the rate is very reasonable!)

My only issue was that every day, the keycards would go out and either not let me in, or even worse, not open the front door to the complex after hours. By 8:45pm the reception had skipped duty, and no one replied to the mobile line. Luckily someone came by and the room key worked to the room, even though it didn’t work anywhere else, or else which would have been a problem. They need a whole new RFID system as the problem seemed to repeat. The staff that did show up for duty was very nice .

The Sebel is 10 minutes to the RAC arena, 10 minutes to City West train station for the airport connection, or a short bus ride downtown. I never felt unsafe even though the streets were deserted. West perth doesn’t have much going on, but if you need to be here, the Sebel works!

We felt very welcomed on arrival and found that the room was very quiet (on a Main Street) with a comfortable bed. 8 minutes to the city with cafes and restaurants close by. The staff have been exceptional! The wildflowers in the lobby are a lovely touch to showcase the area.

I cannot express my disappointment and disgust with my stay at the Sebel in West Perth. I booked a room for eight nights over a week for business and to see family.

My disappointment was immediate with my (first) room having a disabled toilet and bathroom that felt like a hospital. However, it was minor compared to what was to come. The self contained kitchen was laughable at best with cheap and dirty appliances with not enough items to cook more than a microwave meal. Although from first glance it looked clean, the spit balls on the roof, burnt iron and dirty walls made me wonder about the linen not to mention the bathroom.

I was offered a new room because the banging noise above was unbearable, so I was grateful to the kind and professional British girl who was on duty. Unfortunately, the stay was only to get worse from there on. The new room presented me with various new and similar issues. The fridge was turned up to full, so in the rush to move rooms and get my groceries in the fridge, I did not think I need to check, and it all froze meaning it went in the bin. The washing machine filter was so dirty, I nearly vomited when I removed it, there were more spit balls on the bathroom roof, the internet was intermittent, the shower head was broken, the toilet seat was half hanging off, the iron was burnt (I have white business shirts), the kitchen utensils had food still on them and they couldn't even provide matching knife and forks.

I would not mind if it was advertised as a two star, but after spending more than $2k I would expect a certain level of detail, cleanliness and profits put back into the property.

The Sebel West Perth is not clean, dirty, poorly managed, with cheap items supplied and not emphasis on providing a comfortable family or business environment.

I will return to Canberra and ensure I do not recommend the Sebel for business travel.

Disappointing

After days of offcity stay, now finally back to town. This time round, found Sebel west perth serviced apartment. Near to Watertown brand outlet , a couple of (3-5) minutes walk away.

Hotel apartment comes with kitchenette, washing machine / dryer and microwave. Good to have a washing/ dryer machine in between a trip to clean up some clothing before continuing with the next part of the journey. Very effective and easy to use one too.

Hotel comes with a gym on level 4, can be accessed by room card. The hotel also has an indoor car parking that cost aud 19 dollars per day.

Front desk staffs are friendly and helpful in general. The only problem faced during this trip is the housekeeping side. The house keeper apparently (assigned on Friday) didn’t clean up the room. There’s no house keeping (make up room) services during the weekend, thus have to DIY personally for then next 2 days before checking out.

In general is a nice stay.

We had an enjoyable stay at the Sebel West Aire hotel in Perth. The reception staff were friendly and helpful. The room was spacious and comfortable, with a balcony! We had a good night's sleep. I had a medical appointment and the hotel is convenient for clinics in West Perth. Parking space in off-street space was only $19. We will stay again, and I recommend Little Mia Cafe next door for breakfast.

After 3 nights on the train, it was great to stay here where we could catch up on washing and also organise our own breakfast. Room was large with full kitchen facilities and a nice balcony. Not right in the city but an easy walk and buses run past the door. Felt secure here. Roomy car park underneath.

Good size rooms and friendly reception staff and unfortunately that's where it ended. We had booked 4 nights accommodation and our rooms were not serviced even once despite personally requesting at the reception as well. So it wasn't really a 'serviced' apartment to pay such a premium price..! Also we had requested parking for a night and parked in the spot as advised by the reception staff. However the next morning there was a note left on the car saying we had parked on Sebel guest parking without authority?? Complete miscommunication and mismanagement in the staff!

It was fine, but not much more than that.

Cons:

The kitchen has enough equipment for basic cooking but lacks a dishwasher (who wants to go on holiday and do dishes?). The mismatched wine glasses and no decent coffee cups (only small espresso cups) were small oversights. We were on level 2 and the view of the street was pretty ordinary. When we checked in, there was a wet patch in the carpet beside the bed (maybe someone before us spilled something) and one beside power point didn't work. There was also a large stain on the lounge. There is one nearby convenience store which you'd have to be pretty desperate to use, considering the prices.

Pros:

The $19 per night parking is secure and undercover. Restaurants are in a 10-15 minute walking distance. Telstra reception is excellent as you can literally look out the window and see the tower. Air conditioner worked well. Washer and dryer is handy. Bed is comfortable and you're provided with plenty of pillows. Very close to RAC if you're staying for an event (which we were).

Apartment style hotel with service desk. Fully self contained with cooking and laundry facilities. Top notch facility. Nothing more can anyone ask for on their holiday when they can cook food, clean their clothes, have restaurants around, stay near Quay with all tourist attractions in the vicinity. Super friendly and helpful staff. Bathroom and Kitchen, overall room facility are highly modern, user friendly, top class cleanliness has been maintained. Bed is very comfortable for a good night sleep. Lights access, mirror, kitchen utensils, cleaning agents. Level 4 has a beautiful pool and barbeque area with gym facility. You name it! You have everything. With little kids, it was a fabulous time with super peace of mind when we got a place like this to stay in the post COVID world. Thank you so much, Sebel Group and tons of thanks to reviewers who help other travellers make the right decision.

768joycew, sorry whats your question? The hotel is situated on the pther side of Perth. Walking distance to most venues and shops. If driving an easier hotel to stay and get out off. Apartments are beautifully appointed, washer and dryers, but no dishwasher.
