Nestled in the heart of Perth, the InterContinental Perth City Centre is celebrated for its prime location, which many guests find perfect for indulging in local shopping and dining. The hotel's stylish atmosphere and spotless rooms, complete with desirable city views, consistently impress visitors.
While opinions on value and service vary, with some noting high costs and occasional disorganization, the attentive staff and quality amenities like the praised club lounge often compensate. However, guests should be mindful of potential noise disturbances.

We redeemed and stayed in a king room. Room is nicely renovated, very spacious and with many useful n practical features like shelvings and usb ports 👍 Then we met John Messiha when checking out. We told him our son is coming to stay the following week with his wife and baby, their first family trip. So we wanted to know if the king or twin room is a bit more spacious cos they need to add a cot. John smiled, checked and said he wants to do something for them ! They are there now, upgraded to a super spacious corner room …. almost a suite I think :D What a pleasant surprise ! Very kind indeed !

The Intercontinental Perth was our best luxury stay in Australia. Over the years, I have often been let down by five-star hotels here, but not this one. The staff make the hotel. The level of service intimacy and caring is evident the minute you walk through the door. The concierge knows your name, your preferences, and this philosophy is carried throughout the hotel.
While rooms may be smaller than other Perth hotels (the hotel was a conversion of an older building) they are spotless and the design excellent down to multiple plugs and USB ports - next to the bed, the desk and chairs. Room service was of a quality unsurpassed most places, as was the main bar. The hotel restaurant is very pleasant with a lovely outdoor terrace fronting Hay Street.
What made the stay though was the club lounge. Breakfast and cocktail hour are largely a la carte and peaceful there. The staff in the club take care of every detail, are friendly, and the range of food and beverage (including cocktails) is large. Quality is very high.
My only niggle with the hotel was parking. The hotel contracted self-parking lot was full on my arrival, this after I entered it and had to pay to exit because the two spaces left would not accommodate my SUV. Staff did not want to valet park the SUV either, fairly noting it was easier for me to do so if I were going in and out and they use the same garage that was full! The second parking garage they recommenced was truly inadequate for an SUV (common in Perth despite the proliferation of SUVs on the road). I did some research and found that the City Convention Centre Garage was the best and it served us well after I found it despite it being a 10 minute walk from the hotel.
Overall, a great stay and we will be back.

Just spent two nights here for another little staycation. All I really need to say is that our stay was absolutely faultless. The level of warm hospitality we were provided was amazing, particularly so in the Club on the 16th floor. The ladies there are some of the most wonderful people you’ll ever come across – genuinely warm, attentive, friendly and caring. The service they provided was faultless.
We booked two Club Rooms which included Club benefits. The benefits you get are:
• An amazing afternoon tea each day
• Drinks and canapes each day from 5pm – 7pm
• Made to order breakfast in the Club Lounge or a full buffet in the hotel’s restaurant Ascua
• Refreshments and snacks are available at all times during the day in the Club
The food was delicious, especially the wood fired bacon and sausages in the morning. The highlight in terms of food was the afternoon tea each day which was completely and utterly delicious.
Our rooms were well appointed and kept spotlessly clean during our stay. The turn down service at night is also a nice touch. I’m glad to see the hotel still has it’s lovely Agraria bath amenities. Each of our rooms had a Nespresso machine with genuine Nespresso pods and long life milk in the fridge which enabled us to have a great coffee each morning. The coffee served in the Club and in Ascua was consistently enjoyable.
We made use of the small but functional gym on the mezzanine, it enabled us to work off some of the afternoon tea calories.
The location of the hotel is fantastic as it’s an easy two minute walk to the Hay Street Mall and beyond.
The biggest asset this hotel has is it’s staff who couldn’t do enough for us. I brought my almost 90 year old Mum along with us and they looked after her so well. We were even able to borrow a wheelchair from the Concierge so that we could take my Mum for a spin around the city.
A huge thank you to all the staff and especially to Kyriacos who ensured we were taken care of. We’ll definitely be back for another stay – we love this hotel! Thanks again Kyriacos, you really did keep your word.

We stayed in a club room with our two year old and found it to be very modern - we had a cot in the room and the hotel let us know in advance there wouldn't be much space in the room because of that - so we were pleasantly surprised that the room was pretty big and had plenty of space for the 3 of us.
The service in the club (and the hotel generally) is fantastic. Each afternoon there is an afternoon tea put on which we loved as it ran across the baby's nap time so we could enjoy it while she slept in the pram. In the evening, because children are not allowed in the lounge at that time, the club booked us a table in the loft bar on level 1 and not only could we have the canapes and drinks that are available in the club, but they also allowed us to order from the loft kids menu for the baby's dinner - for no charge! I found this so thoughtful and we had a great time sitting on the terrace.
We chose to have breakfast in the main dining room rather than the club as that worked better for the baby (more choice and high chairs etc.) The staff in the main restaurant were lovely and brought the baby colouring in. We also loved that we could order barista coffees.
We just had such a great time, I couldn't fault it. The club room was great value and so worth it.

My 4 nights at the Intercontinental in Perth was very pleasant. The room was well decorated and clean, with a very comfortable bed. The bathroom had very good quality toiletries with an option to listening to the tv in the room that provided me an opportunity to catch up with the day's news during shower.
Breakfast was good and staff very friendly and helpful.
Really had a great time.

My fiancé booked this room for us to stay in after he proposed, and noted this when he booked.
When we checked in, we didn’t even get a simple “congratulations”, in fact, we barely even got a smile.
The room was nice enough, although for some reason we had been allocated a wheelchair accessible room. Seemed as though staff had tried to “hide” the accessibility railings as they were covered in towels when we arrived, and I can’t see any other reason for hanging towels directly beside an open toilet.
Under normal circumstances I probably wouldn’t have been bothered by this, however the romantic vibe of the room was dampened a bit by the altered layout of the room and extensive handrails located throughout (although this does mean that at least InterContinental have appropriate measures in place to accommodate those who require wheelchair accessibility).
This also meant that, had someone who actually needed a room with wheelchair accessibility tried to book, they would have been unable to, as we were (quite unnecessarily) in it!
Overall, the stay was fine, but I did expect some more “special touches”, which I have frequently enjoyed on special occasions at far less expensive hotels.
As a hospitality professional, the special touches are what differentiates an average venue from a great one.

Dear AmyLW96, Thank you for letting us know about your experience; it is disappointing to read that we did live up to your expectations and did not deliver on the guest experience we are re-known for. As hard as it is to read, it also helps us improve, and I have sent your feedback to the team to review and look to ensure we do not repeat this experience. Again, thank you for sharing your comments, and I hope you will give us a chance by staying with us again to show you that your unsatisfactory stay was an exception. Quiet, comfortable, well located hotel. Great beds and a nice shower. Great staff.
The room is a little small, and a little dark. This is an old building that has been refurbished to an InterCon - but we would certainly return to the hotel. There is some on-street parking nearby, and the hotel has a special rate at a nearby car park ($35 or so).
The Club Lounge is excellent. A chef is there every morning, cooking eggs, etc to order (If your room has lounge access, you can choose to have breakfast in the hotel's restaurant instead). And a full afternoon tea is served, as good as any.

Hopped on a plane, at short notice, to Perth and secured a lovely room at the Intercon - Perth.
We were welcomed and checkin by the hotel Manager who gave a lesson in how to deliver hospitality! He was efficient, courteous and took the time to remind us the benefits of staying in an IHG Club room. He kindly provided immediate access to a room despite the check in time being 10am.
The hotel is fairly new and was absolutely spotless. The room was smaller than that of our room in Sydney but in someways better equipped.
Location couldn't be better and provided quick access to what Perth has to offer.
The differentiator was the SERVICE that was provided by all staff at the hotel, in fact I would go as far to stay that the vibe the staff gave off was that they were a family which is unique for a major hotel chain. Penny (concierge) greets you with a huge smile and nothing is too much trouble for her. The ladies in the club lounge were EXCEPTIONAL, they wee both incredibly efficient and personalised the service by remembering food & drink preferences. For example customising the afternoon tea to accommodate vegetarian preferences.
The Spanish in-house restaurant was lovely but was let down by incredibly slow service (forgotten drinks order and over an hour wait for food). We did receive an apology and complimentary drinks which were appreciated.
In summary, I wouldn't hesitate to visit this hotel in the future and consider it to be one of THE best I have ever stayed in. Thank you to the fabulous team for an AMAZING stay. xxx

The customer service was excellent. The staff were very attentive and professional and check-in was smooth.
The location is excellent as it is only a walking distance.
We booked the room with twin beds so that each 8mth twin can share a bed with a parent. It wasnt a good idea. Because our double pram could not fit through, and not enough spaces for our suitcase. Wish I could have change and ask for a king size bed and 2 cots.
The twins were teething all night and just when I finally got them settle, the bloody fire alarm went off at 4am for a good 5minutes and woke every one up again. Arghhhh. And then follow by another loud announcement that its false alarm. It was such a waste of money. This momma needed some relaxing time and just didnt get it.
Wish I saved the money and stayed home.

Hi Leeanne F, I appreciate you choosing us when you were in the area. I am happy to see you appreciate the services delivered by our hotel staff, they are our pride and joy. I was mostly concerned by your review on the comfort and sleep quality aspect. I understand that sleep is necessary and I am sorry for any disturbance caused by the noise levels and room dimension. Know that enhancements will be considered by the hotel management as we continue to make improvements. We always appreciate guests who take the time to give us their feedback. We value your business with IHG and I hope that next time you are visiting the area, we will have the pleasure of welcoming you back again. Best, Zel N. Case Manager IHGService

I think the City scape would be a better room. Though unsure how they use their terminology to define the room type.
Yes they do. But it’s better to request for it when you are booking it :)
Local Bus (#40) or just Taxi. Both options are easy to find from Airport Terminal.
If you decided to rent a car, the Hotel has arranged with Wilson Carpark near the hotel where you are being charged with a fixed sum of money per day. You can ask for multi-entry pass for use in a single day.
Hello, The twin rooms are two double beds, we recommend taking two rooms for your comfort.
