Detailed Reviews
Stayed between 14th March and 21st March 2021. Good value for money, excellent service, everyday housekeeping service available (except weekends) close to free tram zone to city, just 5 mins walk to Queen Victoria market. If you are in a tight budget, there is small communal kitchen as well in this hotel. Friendly staff; they are pretty good and prompt at responding to requests. I strongly recommend this accommodation.

Room (2) had everything needed, including small fridge & wardrobe. Bathroom had wall hairdryer & towels, toiletries in dispensers on the shower wall. All very clean & well kept.
As per previous reviews, heating was the only issue - we came back after a long day out to discover the heating on full blast. It had been a warm day & it was like hitting a wall of heat. The heating is controlled by the hotel; however, you can turn it off & change the temperature in your room (instructions provided on check in). We promptly turned it off & opened the window as far as possible. It eventually cooled down. It only happened one day, so I assume once you’ve turned it off it’ll stay off. This was not a huge deal, and I wouldn’t hesitate to stay again if I’m in the area.
We paid $5 per day for secure (gated) parking on site. We booked directly with the hotel (parking more if book though 3rd party). If you have a large 4WD let them know - there are only 4 spots, not under cover. Pre-booking parking is recommended as only 16 spaces for whole hotel.

Hotel has lovely staff who are willing to help and give you advice on where to go in the city. It rained all 3 days we stayed and the staff allowed us to borrow an umbrella which was no hassle for them.
For the price it’s outstanding. Location is great - near the city centre but far away enough to be away from the busy city centre. The hotel has loads of cafes nearby and the Queen Victoria market is an easy 10 minute walk.
If you want a decent hotel for a good price then this is the place to stay.

For a budget hotel this place is great!
I stayed in a room by myself. The room were very clean, with plenty of towels, it has a mini fridge, kettle and tea and coffee supplied. The bathroom was a good size with complimentary shower gel, shampoo, conditioner and body lotion in dispensers. There was also a hairdryer in the bathroom. There is a communal kitchen which was clean and well equipped. The staff were friendly and helpful, especially Nathan on night shift.
There is plenty of tourist information at reception, as well as a café open for breakfast. With the tram stop close and easy access to the city this is a fantastic location. Through in all the bars and restaurants 10 minutes away, this place is a winner.
However, they don't have a lift, it is only 2 floors, so it was OK.
Also the Skybus to and from the airport is very close, which is a big bonus.
The question I always ask is "Would I stay there again?"
I sure would, I'll be back.

Clean hotel, good price, and only 15-20 minute walk from the CBD. The bathrooms have dispensers for soap, shampoo, conditioner, lotion, and shaving cream which was a nice surprise. If you're wanting to visit Melbourne and stay at a hotel with a budget, this is a great place to look

We chose the Miami because it was very close to the venue we were going to see a live show at. What a gem. Right from our arrival, staff were helpful and friendly. Nothing seemed too much trouble. We were given an upgrade that gave as a fabulous view of the city. Our room was large, bed very comfortable, bathroom well appointed (they even had shaving cream), couple of chairs to sit on and, one thing we love, mugs for tea or coffee. Everything was spotless. WiFi was good. There is parking on site at a fee. Some undercover but also spaces for those higher vehicles that can’t fit underneath. There is a guest kitchen which would be great for longer stays. We stayed on a Friday night and had no noise issues. Cafes, pubs and restaurants are all within walking distance and a tram stop is just down the road. On our trips into town, we usually stay at a much more expensive hotel but from now on the Miami will be our go to property. Very reasonably priced, great staff and comfortable beds, what more could you ask for?

Stayed for 2 nights at one of their newly renovated room on the ground floor. Room was big and clean. The staff at the front desk were very friendly and helpful. The hotel was able to provide us with a room early before the official check-in time.
Nearby is Errol St where you can find good cafes and restaurants. Queen Vic Market was only 10 mins walk away and it is here where the free tram zone starts/ends.
Will stay here again if we are back in Melbourne

We spent 3 nights here.
Cheap rate, clean room and cheap parking
Quick walk to tram station
Impressed with what we got for what we paid. All the staff were very friendly and accomodating as well.
Would recommend if you need a cheap place go stay just out of the Melbourne CBD

We had 2 nights in Melbourne at the Miami Hotel and thought it was amazing value. The hotel was very clean, the staff were especially helpful (especially Julie at reception), and nothing was too much trouble. It was a great location and easy access to town. Would not hesitate to recommend this hotel.

Brilliant kitchen! Always tidy with lots of plates, cutlery, pots and pans! Very lovely hotel!
Completely safe, do not worry about that. Regarding luggage, we left it stored for half day at no cost.
Yes there is a common kitchen on level 3. Stove, microwaves, pots, pans, common cutlery and utensils are available in the common kitchen. There is also a communal ironing board on level 1.
Taxis are available outside King Street or Errol Street (streets right outside hotel) if you wish to flag, Uber is also a common private transport in Melbourne. If you wish to commute to and fro the airport, Starbus and Skybus shuttle services are arrangements you can make ahead and arrive at your scheduled pickup point if you book in advance.
Sorry I can't remember. Call the hotel and check. I would be surprised if they didn't.
