Stayed for 2 nights at one of their newly renovated room on the ground floor. Room was big and clean. The staff at the front desk were very friendly and helpful. The hotel was able to provide us with a room early before the official check-in time. Nearby is Errol St where you can find good cafes and restaurants. Queen Vic Market was only 10 mins walk away and it is here where the free tram zone starts/ends. Will stay here again if we are back in Melbourne
Cosy little budget hotel in West Melbourne. Super convenient for visiting the Vic Markets. Is on the tram line to get into Melbourne (although we walked in as it wasn’t very far). Suitable as a base for getting out and about. Rooms are small and basic and could do with attention to detail. However, great for a budget stopover and very helpful and friendly staff available 24 hours.
For a budget hotel this place is great! I stayed in a room by myself. The room were very clean, with plenty of towels, it has a mini fridge, kettle and tea and coffee supplied. The bathroom was a good size with complimentary shower gel, shampoo, conditioner and body lotion in dispensers. There was also a hairdryer in the bathroom. There is a communal kitchen which was clean and well equipped. The staff were friendly and helpful, especially Nathan on night shift. There is plenty of tourist information at reception, as well as a café open for breakfast. With the tram stop close and easy access to the city this is a fantastic location. Through in all the bars and restaurants 10 minutes away, this place is a winner. However, they don't have a lift, it is only 2 floors, so it was OK. Also the Skybus to and from the airport is very close, which is a big bonus. The question I always ask is "Would I stay there again?" I sure would, I'll be back.…
Clean compact room well supplied with toiletries, towels, tea and coffee. Serviced daily. Very helpful friendly staff. Convenient car park. No traffic or guest noise. Trams 5min walk away. Dining room and kitchen available.
Stayed between 14th March and 21st March 2021. Good value for money, excellent service, everyday housekeeping service available (except weekends) close to free tram zone to city, just 5 mins walk to Queen Victoria market. If you are in a tight budget, there is small communal kitchen as well in this hotel. Friendly staff; they are pretty good and prompt at responding to requests. I strongly recommend this accommodation.
We spent 3 nights here. Cheap rate, clean room and cheap parking Quick walk to tram station Impressed with what we got for what we paid. All the staff were very friendly and accomodating as well. Would recommend if you need a cheap place go stay just out of the Melbourne CBD
Hotel has lovely staff who are willing to help and give you advice on where to go in the city. It rained all 3 days we stayed and the staff allowed us to borrow an umbrella which was no hassle for them. For the price it’s outstanding. Location is great - near the city centre but far away enough to be away from the busy city centre. The hotel has loads of cafes nearby and the Queen Victoria market is an easy 10 minute walk. If you want a decent hotel for a good price then this is the place to stay.
We had 2 nights in Melbourne at the Miami Hotel and thought it was amazing value. The hotel was very clean, the staff were especially helpful (especially Julie at reception), and nothing was too much trouble. It was a great location and easy access to town. Would not hesitate to recommend this hotel.
To find such a little gem so close to cbd at such a cheap price. Building looks quite dated, but the rooms, though small, were fresh, modern and spotless with all the little extras more expensive hotels (usually) have. Were able to get offstreet secure parking on site for a charge, and was still cheaper than other hotels close by. Friendly efficient staff. Has a small cafe on premises offering good range of breakfasts at good prices. Close by, 100m, are Errol Street shops, where you can find other eating options. This is a nice old part of Melbourne. Trams to city 50m. Excellent.
We arrived 2 hrs before the check-in time, but the receptionist was so nice that he let us in our room earlier. I had booked a room with a king size bed with a comment that I would like a twin room. The comment got lost in the booking process, but the problem was efficiently solved. I like their green approach and thinking. The bathroom was big, beds comfy, however it was a bit stuffy in our room (8). There was an aircon to use, but I would have preferred more natural air. There was a tiny problem with the kettle in our room. It must have been washed with some cleaner because the boiled water tasted and smelled like a detergent. Overall though we had a great stay :)
