RACV City Club is one of two outstanding RACV Club properties and is conveniently positioned in the heart of Melbourne's CBD at 501 Bourke Street. For an overnight stay, a weekend away, a short break or a holiday, the City Club has a range of accommodation options to suit your needs. There are 136 large and spacious rooms including suites, family suites, doubles, twins and interconnecting rooms for families. A full buffet breakfast, free internet and valet car parking is included in room rates. The impressive RACV City Club caters for the social, leisure and business needs of all Club members. A range of stylish dining venues and entertainment options make the City Club the perfect place to celebrate a special occasion or to enjoy a coffee, social drink, business lunch or intimate dinner. Membership of the private RACV Club is separate to other types of RACV membership, which can include RACV Emergency Roadside Assistance and RACV Insurance. Only members of the private RACV Club can book accommodation at the RACV City or Healesville properties. RACV Club members pay an annual membership fee which enables members to book accommodation for themselves, their family, friends and guests at both RACV Club locations and to access a range of other Club dining, lifestyle and recreation facilities. I have stayed and used RACV City club on and off for 15 years now. I would agree with earlier reviews, i.e. very good facilities and service, even if the food and accommodation are a little too traditional/ conservative for some people. Up until now the City Club has however been good value but starting this year the Club's value proposition is becoming far less attractive : previously my City Club membership was around$600 a year and membership included unlimited access to the business centre. Club members were advised earlier this year that membership fees would increase to a minimum of $1188 per year for the base memberrship and that membership no longer included access to the new business centre. Access to the new business centre (renamed a "shared working space") now costs an additional $50 per visit ! If you want to have 50 visits to the business center included then membership will cost you either either $1800 or $2400 per annum. On any view this is a huge increase (almost 100% and well over over 100% if you factor in extra payment to use the new business centre). I doubt very much I will be renewing my membership when the renewal comes around next year.…

We have dined at the RACV Club several times as guests of members. The RACV Club is a members' only organisation, having a roadside assistance package does not giove any rights to entry or parking. The food is very good and the staff are attentive. If you want to join the club, entrry is fairly easy to obtain. In the conext of private clubs, membership is not all that expensive. Rooms are for members' only, but they are available if you have an introduction from a member.

The RACV Club is for members only. However some, other clubs have reciprocal rights. The club is very comfortable. Prices are moderate for what you get. Guests can use other club facilities, including the dining room, which is very good.

We were lucky enough to stay for a night in “the retreat” and it was an incredible experience. Definitely a little piece of luxury with its feature lighting option, second toilet, google home, walk in wardrobe, spa bath and entertainment spaces. The Butler’s pantry area was also a lovely addition. Would absolutely return to this incredible suite.

We stayed at the RACV club as a family treat. It almost feels like a 5 star hotel, the staff treat you very nicely and the facilities are great. The pool and gym in particular as fabulous, having a proper 25m lap pool is a real bonus. The breakfast buffet was as good as any, there is an omelette station and great coffee. I have recently stayed at the Langham and most importantly the beds are as comfortable as a 5 star hotel! You get all the luxuries of a 5 star hotel without the price. Highly recommended.
