Spent a night at Fitzroy Island Resort in one of the beach cabins . Everything about our stay was fantastic . The transfer over went well and the cabin was in stunning location to catch the sunset . Cabin was well appointed and the snorkelling amazing off the beach . Nudey beach was stunning . Staff at the resort were great and helpful and had good bar food at Foxys bar and good choice of beers. Breakfast was decent at the restaurant and very helpful staff . Loved our stay there and will be back again . The island is stunning .

Mostly a great stay but mold odour was an issue in the room. For anyone sensitive this can make a fairly uncomfortable experience. Zephyrs was closed for rennovation, so typical bistro style breakfast was only option and was quite expensive.

Unfortunately our stay at the resort was disappointing. The island itself was absolutely incredible, very pristine and The resort was run very down and old. And there were bits and pieces being torn up and renovated all over the resort. When we arrived to the island we were informed that the zephyr Restaurant was closed which meant we had to have a buffet dinner and breakfast. The price was ridiculously expensive for dinner buffet. We paid $78 for 2 of us. Without any drinks included. The food was ok but unfortunately for the price we were dissatisfied. Foxys bar was a good vibe however the food again was not up to standard for the amount of money we were paying. There was lots of Construction on the island also, including loud music from tradies radios and lots of loud tools. We were not informed of this before we arrived. Pool was merky - which we did not swim in. The swim up pool bar wasn’t even in action. The shower in our room smelt of mould/ammonia and it was almost unbearable to have a shower. Dishwasher was broken Couch was so dirty - we didn’t sit down Only thing that made our trip amazing we’re the staff!!!! They were making us feel at ease. They were so polite and very kind to us considering we were not the happiest with the facilities nor the buffet food. Kayak and snorkeling is awesome ! We had a great experience swimming with turtles and seeing beautiful fish. Would recommend a day trip only if you wish to visit the island
