From the moment we went in, to the moment we checked out, the service of all personnel were beyond and above expectations. The staff were very cooperative and courteous. The only downside was there was limited parking space and we had to pay $20 per day for parking! It was not mentioned on their website and we didn't know that parking was chargeable until we got there. Actually unless one plans to travel around, you don't need a car. Restaurants are just across the road and the beach is about 2 or 3 minutes walk. I was excited to observe that St. Vincent's church is right opposite the hotel! After breakfast on Christmas day, we walked across to participate the morning mass and was able to join in for Christmas carols too. I was delighted that I did not miss Christmas mass or carols. The breakfast buffet was good. A continental buffet including some Asian dishes. If you go during a busy season, please make sure you make it to breakfast early because certain items run out. During the first 2 days we missed out on fruits! We ordered room service for most dinners and found that even though the choice is limited, the food was great and the charges are reasonable too.

This was our last stop on an action packed four week trip. We were looking forward to relaxing and we got lucky when checking in. The hotel was really busy and to "help them out" they gave us a ridiculously cheap upgrade to the Entertaining Suite on the top floor - the biggest in the hotel!
The room is stunning, with open plan kitchen, dinning room and lounge. The views of the ocean are great and everything has been finished to a high quality. Having had suites before, my only comment is that the bathroom is via the bedroom which wouldn't be ideal if you had guests over. There aren't any unique features, but the important parts are the comfy bed and large walk in shower.

I spent 14 days here as a guest of Qld Health in the fight against the Coronavirus, so can't comment bout the facilities nearby - the pool looked nice from my window. No hotel (so far) is built for 14 days locked in a room without going out. The only fresh air is when the door opens for meal delivery. However, the staff made it all bearable. I only had contact on the phone, except for arrival and departure, but they were really outstanding.
I have stayed in a lot of hotels and since I was effectively a prisoner, I was relieved to find the staff extremely kind and helpful. I have a very serious food allergy and the staff did a great job of working around that - they even found me a microwave.
I asked for an extra table to use as a desk, extra light, power chord, bowl, plate cutlery (and they thoughtfully provided some dishwashing liquid and sponge.) It all magically appeared as if it were no trouble at all. Sometimes they would have a little chat when I needed it. I thought they went above and beyond the call of duty.
A Shout out to the management as well, for looking after the team and implementing the systems so that everything ran smoothly, and the staff were well trained and happy.
The beds were comfortable, the shower was warm. Cant comment on room service because it was not allowed. The only negative I could find was the large long picture on the wall looked like a puppy was dipped in yellow paint and allowed to run on the canvas. They might do better to just have a picture of a puppy for the stressed detainees.
Everyone must do their bit in the war on the rotten coronavirus and these guys were faultless. I would certainly have no hesitation in returning as a proper guest one day. Thank you indeed.

My friend and I just needed somewhere reasonably priced and comfortable for the night and we were not disappointed with out stay here. The beds are like sleeping in a cloud they are so soft and comfortable. But if u love a hard bed you might not like it. Everything was lovely and clean. I loved the refillable pump bottle for the shampoo, conditioner and body was great for the environment.
For the smokers..... The rooms unfortunately don't have a verandah so no smoking in any rooms, there is a designated area out front.

+1
Stayed at this Hotel mid 2022 and chose it largely based on location.
If you don't want to read the whole review, my short version is: It was pretty disappointing, would not return or recommend.
This Hotel represents poor value at around 175 per night [mid 2022], but is close enough to allow an easy walk to pretty much any major attraction in the centre of the city - It's directly across the road from the Q1.
On check-in/out, and during the stay, staff werefriendly.
Entering the room, cleanliness could be described as poor, and the kind of poor that suggest a systemic issue with cleaning rather than a simple oversight by one or two staff, and the bathroom was spacious and included a bath but it's worth mentioning it was less clean than most - including those of my bachelor mates. and soap, shampoo etc was available from a wall dispenser.
The Hotel offered WiFi, though it was so slow I wouldn't suggest you count on it and from what I could tell it was uncapped.
Based on the overall expereience, I could not recommend. While the main lobby is impressive, the room felt very dated and in need of a good clean.

This is our second stay at Voco Gold Coast, and if we thought our first stay was good - this time it was 10 times better! We loved our 2.5 week stay at Voco Gold Coast so much, we cannot fault a thing! We highly recommend it. We had family & friends staying elsewhere in the Gold Coast in 5 star hotels & resorts who came to visit us at Voco and they we're highly impressed with what they saw at Voco compared to where they were staying!
All the staff are very friendly & hospitable. If I am to single out a staff member - it'd be the lovely manager Jason for being a total superstar! We have never met such a wonderful & professional manager.Â
The buffet staff were awesome. Both the valet & room service staff were incredible. The front desk staff...well, TBH they're the best we've ever met! In summary, we've stayed in many hotels, cruised many oceans together as a family and we haven't had such an awesome holiday as this one at Voco.
We were initally booked for 10 nights, but our girls loved it so much, they wanted to stay longer. And so we did.Â
Voco made our holiday on the Gold Coast extra special and we are very grateful for that.
Our girls were sad to leave Voco Gold Coast, but we've promised them we'd be back again. Whole heartedly give them an A ++++++!

This is the second Voco brand hotel we have stayed at and it didn’t disappoint. Well located just a short walk to Cavill Mall & beach and with the added bonus of the
G link light rail directly outside , it ticked all the boxes for us.
We had a renovated room with twin queen beds which we like, spacious bathroom with a vanity with a drawer for personal items/ make up, something that is lacking in many hotels. Nicely decorated, comfortable beds and very quiet.
Dining options were good, staff were attentive and we especially must mention Rikki, Seila, Alex on reception.
We thought the towels were a bit small and thin, otherwise a very nice stay.

We are IHG Spire Elite members and decided to try this Hotel being a new addition to the IHG portfolio on the Gold Coast. This Hotel is well located centrally in Surfers Paradise in a quiet quarter directly adjacent the Surfers Paradise tram stop. This Hotel is also well appointed with three venues on the ground floor to enjoy - The Social House serving light meals and a bar, Cliffords Steak House which served us the best steak we have enjoyed in a long time, and the Waves Restaurant which does a buffet breakfast. The rooms are beautifully quiet and well appointed. Reception team very efficient and helpful. The only slight downside for this Hotel is that both the two swimming pools have no disability access and have steep stepped entry to both pools. Otherwise an excellent stay and we will be back again soon.

First a big shout out to the incredibly helpful and customer service minded reservations staff at the hotel who salvaged the first holiday in two years!
We stayed three nights at the hotel in an Ocean View Deluxe Room which has great views of the beach. The room is bright and modern and has one of the most comfortable beds I've slept in. The bathroom had a rain shower and Antipodes shower gel and shampoo which we loved.Â
The dining options are great! We had dinner at the Cliffords Grill & Lounge and I would come back to the Gold Coast just to eat at this restaurant again! It's a grill but don't go past the tapas menu. It was sensational! One night we had dinner in the bar which was also fantastic. The breakfast buffet in the mornings has everything you'd want. The ice cream with the pancakes was a nice touch. We did try the gym as well and it's a very good gym for a hotel. I loved that there were proper spin bikes. We'll definitely come back to the Gold Coast and we'll stay at the Voco for sure.

Gosh, I’m sorry I missed this. The pools are small and I didn’t use them.
They came off the program sometime ago
Not a 'pancake machine' per se but they did serve pancakes and waffles that they make and serve at the buffet breakfast.
No there isn’t you will have to go out of the hotel but there are two exits to go through and it’s not that horrible
