The place is located centrally right opposite the aquarium and the access is easy and simple. The buffet spread is nice and the service is reasonable. The rooms are nice and cozy and adequately provided with cutlery too.

We travelled to Cairns by train from Brisbane. Depends on what you mean by 'late'.

They did for us when our flight was rescheduled due to a typhoon. I offered to pay, but they didn't seem to mind for a couple of pages. Waiting til its quiet at the front desk and there is a friendly face probably helps.
