Enjoyed our family trip to Cairns Colonial. Had 2 King Studio Rooms as it suit us as a family with Teens. Beds comfy room nice and clean. Cafe by pool was relaxing and food was really good. Enjoyed a cocktail or 2. Grounds were beautifully maintained as were pools. Close to the esplanade (by car)to go for a wander. Really enjoyed our stay!

Check in staff were friendly and helpful, our rooms were clean, spacious and tidy, beds were very comfortable, only problem was our handicap room shower head was not suit for our needs, the head moved up and down the rail ok but had no tilt adjustments which made it a little inconvenient when showering. The restaurant food was ok and reasonably priced, overall our stay good and we would book again.

We stayed here twice during our stay in Cairns, firstly in a superior room situated at the back of the hotel. We loved this as it was easy to get to from the back carpark, quiet and had a nice little balcony over looking the pool which we usually swam in. The grounds were very well maintained and the rooms cleaned daily with fresh towels. We have a 5 and 3 year old so asked if there were any availabilities in the family rooms which the hotel kindly upgraded us to for the last two nights of our stay. These were fabulous as they had a little kitchenette to cook in and our room was closer to the main pool. We enjoyed the main pool and some cocktails from the flamingo bar. We did miss having a balcony in the family room as we love having a cuppa outside once the kids are asleep. If we were to return a family room with a balcony would definitely be our pick. Thanks for a great stay and we would definitely recommend this place.

Friendly staff and clean environment, great for price... however because we came during school Holidays, we did find it a little on louder side.. hearing people chat late at night right outside our door and because we were downstairs, we could hear all the commotion upstairs above us.. *feet stomping around and chair moving late at night* This isn’t really something thats really avoidable but if you have young ones like us, who go to sleep early.. it is something to consider πŸ™ƒπŸ™‚ for a family resort its definately great for price. Thank you!
