I have stayed here previously and it's always been a nice comfortable stay at a great rate. The room and bathroom are both clean and spacious. The room has a safe, iron and ironing board, tea and coffee and fridge. The bed is comfortable for a good sleep, though the pillows are a little hard. Reading light switches right next to the bed, something often overlooked in many places. Shower has good hot water and pressure. Check in is quick and simple. There is some traffic noise, but it didn't prevent a good sleep. Most rooms are away from the traffic noise. Right next to Raintrees Shopping Centre with buses to the City. Excellent swimming pools and a nice cafe for breakfast. Overall good stay and will come again.

An excellent place to stay with lovely clean a neat rooms which looked to be well maintained. Loved the separate 25m lap pool. Service was excellent. The reason I gave 4 stars and not 5 was location as you are a little bit away from the eating and watering holes - about 5ks. There is a nice shopping centre across road and the Bothers League Club about 2ks away. All in all very nice.

What a great value resort, 3 big pools with renovated rooms. Room was clean and comfortable with good air-con. ,bed super comfortable. Staff were helpful and answer all my questions. Raintree shopping centres 100 m away with supermarket, sushi shop, bakery etc. Nice coffee shop in car park too at shops. It's about 1hour walk into cairns waterfront or ubers are available or bus over the road at shopping center into cairns city. I would certainly stay here again and you can visit their sister resort cairns colonial resort and swim and dine there as their is a cafe there. I found this resort more pleasant to stay then thier sister resort which I visited for a day swim and lunch. It was too big for my liking and some guests were not obeying by pool rules, jumping in the pool, etc. Overall my time at palm royale was very nice and relaxing and yes if the price is right, I would definitely stay here again. Room 252 was fully renovated with brand new bathroom, oh nice hot shower 🚿 too. Tip-uber from airport to Palm Royal was $28.00

Palm Royale is a lovely hotel with 3 beautiful pools and a nice room - amazing value considering the budget price to stay here! Room - The room and bathroom were kept clean by the daily housekeeper. The room had airconditioning, a ceiling fan, a small minifridge and a balcony overlooking the tropical looking pool area which was nice to chill out on. The room is also really quiet so can't hear anything going on outside the room or even on the balcony which is great. Location - Hotel is a 10 minute drive from town with a DiDi costing you approx $11-12 and Uber/Ola about $13-14. For this reason, this hotel is perfect if you've chosen to hire a car. Plenty of parking available on site or on the street. If you are driving to town, parking is either free or doesn't cost much anyway. Walking distance to the local shops (raintree shopping centre) so you can get all your necessities from there. Facilities - Laundry is open until 9pm with the washer + drier costing $3 each to use - just make sure to bring your washing powder. Would recommend to use the drier on high setting as medium didn't do much drying. The pools were big and surrounded by tropical plants, really nice to swim in the pool at the end of the day. Staff - Staff were very friendly. We were able to drop our bags off at the hotel while waiting to check in. Also had lots of brochures available for tours.
