Stayed for 7 nights in an executive king room with access to executive club. Good Points: Front of house staff are fantastic, friendly, accommodating and efficient, in particular the breakfast crew were really on the ball every day. Great location. Very clean. Good air-con Comfortable rooms. Good pool. Areas For Improvement: Understand that the executive club had been closed for 12 months due to COVID but when it did re-open on the second night we were there it was a shambles. The club is physically not big enough for the number of people attending. After 4 nights of attending we were tired of basically the same snacks every night, scrambling to get a seat and the very slow drink service. Again the staff were very good but management have no idea how to run an executive club. There is no fine dinning option in the hotel. The only restaurant" Mondo On The Waterfront" is just a cafeteria - shown to a table, queue up to order your food and join another queue to order your drinks. After getting a table and seeing the queue stretching out the door into the garden, we left. The hotel's technical abilities are also lacking; internet down for a day and most free to air TV channels lost due to "an outage". Fixed by day 3 but really these are two minute jobs. Unfortunately COVID has left the hotel short staffed and struggling to provide a 5 star Hilton experience.

For over 30 years I have stayed at this property and the consistency of customer service has been exceptional. The whole team were friendly, warm and welcoming. Always great to stay here and look forward to next time.

The hotel itself is a little dated but the Hilton still has that reputation of great service and it didn’t disappoint. We stayed there only for two nights and didn’t make use of the pool or gym, the pools bar was only opened for a short window also (12-4, I think). Bed was nice and big and pillows were very comfortable. TV was terrible but that’s not important. View was not an ocean view but rather facing the casino, still nice. The birds on the trees were very loud in the morning, fine for us because we had tours booked etc... But terrible if you had planned to sleep in. Bar was a little expensive, which was expected. No complimentary bottles of water... Instead a central water dispenser on every level, which I found to be clever and environmentally friendly. Breakfast was still a buffet and still amazing. Overall a great stay, very pleased. Thank you.

The hotel was spic and span. The pool was well looked-after. Peter and Kim in the Reception were very informative, assistive, and welcoming. They made our check in and check out a breeze. Food in the restaurant was amazing. Fruits were fresh and juicy! Surely will come back again.

We just spent 7 days at the Hilton Cairns via a Luxury Escape Package. The hotel itself is older , but the service is amazing. Our room was clean and overlooked the sea we were on the 9th floor, in our package we had nightly canapés, drinks the service in the executive lounge was fantastic. The location is great walking distance to restaurants and shops. We would stay again.
