Modern, environmentally conscious and with a true appreciation for all the arts, meet Bailey, a Crystalbrook Collection Hotel and Residence. Bailey chooses the path less travelled; the type of character you’ll find at the local farmers market or exploring the latest museum exhibition. Bailey loves originality, individuality and attention to detail. Positioned in the Cairns cultural precinct at the heart of the CBD, Bailey is just a short stroll from the Cairns Performing Arts Centre, Cairns Art Gallery, the iconic Esplanade boardwalk, Cairns lagoon pool and the Great Barrier Reef departure terminal. Staying with Bailey, you’ll find artwork from Australia and beyond along with an evolving ever-changing array of exhibitions and activations. Passionate about sustainability, Bailey embraces Crystalbrook Collection’s belief in #responsibleluxury. Saying no to plastic, you won’t find any plastic water bottles or straws. Bailey saves 170,000 amenity bottles from waste through the use of signature large-pump bottles and uses recycled wooden key cards and room accessories. Bailey also embraces environmental partnerships with Citizens of the Great Barrier Reef, TerraCycle, OzHarvest and Containers for Change. With 255 spacious rooms and residences filled with design details that will appeal to your inner artist, you’ll be sure to leave enchanted and enriched. Each room and residence features its own Apple iPad control centre complete with art apps, Staycast by Google for video streaming, access to hundreds of complimentary movies and Nespresso machines (naturally with recyclable pods). Oh, and the Wi-Fi is fast and free – obviously! Bailey is a food lovers haven with an enviable selection of stunning on-site restaurants designed to cater to any mood or occasion. Throwing down the gauntlet as the culinary destination for locals and tourists alike, the world-class restaurants are guaranteed to gratify your hunger. This hotel was booked after our local holiday during Covid was postponed. We moved the credit to this resort and after living here a few years ago it was refreshingly be welcomed back “home”. From the moment we arrived the aroma of the lobby drifted towards us and the smiles from the staff gave us the same feeling we had arriving in Fiji and the beautiful resorts there. It felt like an immediate holiday, check in was done via the app ( I chose to try this option ) and it was flawless. The easiest check in I have ever done. Our room was smaller than I had imagined but the decor, cleanliness and modern atmosphere was perfection. The bathroom a haven of peace and incredible in design. The bathtub was a win with the kids and made up for not having a spa or sauna with the roof top pool! The upstairs pool area is quaint, has sophisticated styling and creates a sense of privacy and relaxation. The pool is positioned in the shade for the afternoon so can be cold- would be ideal for it to be heated but it is Cairns and that would be hard in summertime. The gym is the best gym I have had in a resort for years, clean, up to date equipment and overlooks the lobby and glass elevator. The kids enjoyed endless free movies when it was cloudy outside and needed to relax. The TV is huge and great quality supplied by LG. The room is fitted with a great coffee pod machine, all glassware refreshed daily and the servicing of the room is efficient and spot on every day! Nothing is too much for staff, they are relaxed but absolutely on top of it all! Breakfast is a grab and go style- a little hard for myself due to dietary restrictions but the muffins and banana bread with fresh juice was a win for kids! I had to find breakfast elsewhere but that is what often happens in new places and on holidays! Fruit was a perfect option and coffee was a perfect start. The location is ideal and we walked everywhere we needed to! Night markets and restaurants right at the door step! This is a gem of a place and the kids were calling it home at the end of our holiday! Loved it! Well done Bailey staff!!!

Hotel's Favorite
We stayed at the Bailey for a work trip during a difficult time due to Covid. The hotel is beautiful with a wonderful outdoor pool and dining area. What made the stay so memorable was the staff. They were so friendly, helpful and patient with us we really enjoyed getting to know them. A special mention to Annbolin, Angelo and Jay who are just great people and really looked after us! Would highly recommend for a stay in cairns, right near the water, lagoon and restaurants. Would 100% stay again.

The property is in a great location in Cairns CBD area. Lots of things to do in the area and the staff were excellent, we had some slight issues that were rectified immediately! The rooms are very good with fantastic amenities and all very modern. The property itself, swimming pool, relaxation areas all extremely good. The breakfast was adequate and tasty. Great artwork throughout the buiding. Can't fault.

The Bailey is in a great location in central Cairns and has a very modern and clean feel. The rooms are well set out and offer some great views of the local area. The pool areas are a little small and the main hotel pool is shaded most of the afternoon. The residents pool, which is also available to hotel guests does receive all day sun but has a very limited number of lounges. The reception staff are extremely helpful and friendly.

Bailey (along with Riley and Flynn) offer top quality rooms at a great price. Cairns is long overdue for hotel upgrades and after staying at nearly all of the Cairns hotels over the last 10 years, Crystalbrooks offerings are second to none. The rest of town needs to lift their game! On arrival we were greeted by friendly and efficient staff members who always exceed our expectations. We were up early to attend the ANZAC dawn service and had a great “grab and go” breakfast of fresh coffee and warm muffins, locally made yogurt and juice - all included in our room rate. The rooms are immaculately clean, well presented and have everything required. Our family loves all of the Crystalbrook hotels in Cairns and look forward to our next stay.
