The eclectic, sophisticated and curious The Inchcolm by Ovolo is a stunning boutique hotel with a rock n roll edge. Once a private residence and medical practice, the building was first constructed in the 1930’s, with this being the foundation to drive the artistic concept behind The Inchcolm by Ovolo. Think Gertrude Stein’s Paris salon, where Hemingway, Fitzgerald, Picasso and Matisse would comfortably rub shoulders while sharing trailblazing ideas and indulging in gourmet food & wine.
Hotel is in great location, rooms were amazing, service was good. Restaurant offering was a little limited, as was the amount of tables/seats available. Would probably stay again, I like the Ovolo hotels as they’re fun and interesting. Really great that they take in dogs!

We spent nearly 8 weeks at this amazing location due to flooding. You would think that after 2 weeks the novelty would wear off, nope, it became home to us. The amiable and united staff, from the GM, Roberto to front desk (Amber, Oliver, Anneke etc) lead by the amazing Captain Kirk, their Ops Mgr Kurt, F&B (Reuben, Santosh, Maya, Dominic & too many more names to mention), Chef Jamie and his kitchen staff as well as Anna head of housekeeping & her attention to detail staff .... were all welcoming, kind, patient and friendly day in day out. We had our beloved elderly husky with us and she was the star of the hotel. We experienced everything there was to be had during our time ie: martini hour (night after night!); dinner, breakfast, lunches, high tea, martini lunch etc - all served with enthusiasm and flair. We checked out yesterday and already miss everyone. We'll definitely we back when renovations commence, and expect an invitation to the staff Christmas party ;-)…

The service was impeccable, with staff going above and beyond. The rooms were excellent with one of the most comfortable beds that I have slept in. The food and cocktails were spectacular. I would recommend staying at this establishment to anyone.

There are very few hotels of genuine character still around- where you aren't paying an absolute fortune. The building is an original early 20th century gem, and every consideration in maintaining the charm has been looked after. The room was clean and comfortable- the service was impeccable. Loved the lobby bar/restaurant. Incredible cocktails and a walk to the city. Would stay again and recommend.

Charming hotel in a restored Georgian era building. The room had large windows and a high ceiling. Beds are comfortable and rooms clean, with a nice character decor. The staff were friendly and helpful. Great location in terms of public transport, with Central Station across the road. Only suggestion for improvement would be for management to allow the gracious old windows to be opened to take advantage of afternoon breezes and original building design from the pre air conditioning era!

We are return guests and once again so very impressed. Met with friendly, efficient service as soon as we walked in. Thank you Lucia. The beautiful antique wooden lift was getting serviced but Matt, who we think is the handyman, So thoughtfully lugged our bags up to the 3rd floor (and I don't pack lightly) to our gorgeous room. Thank you so much Matt . The service from the kitchen staff at both dinner and breakfast was exceptional. Thank you Manny and Cindy and all of you behind the doors because the food was absolutely divine. Our stay was truly wonderful and we thank the whole team so very much. We ll see you again soon . Grace and George. Noosa.
