i have been very happy on moro appartements you have a huge space with all the amenities you need even for a long term stay. the interior design is very well done, lots and lots of storage , very smartly planned. hidden closets and washing machine in the bathroom -amazing. and the design of kitchen and all the cabinets the same perfect. and last not least i have rarly slept so deeply and long than in miro appartements. it is very quiet and calm..... the staff and the owner are very friendly and helpful and the location is just some steps away from the james street. so definitley i would like to come back next year. thank you very much for creating this lovely place, miro team.

We recently stayed at the Miro apartments, needing one night in Brisbane before joining a Scenic Rim walking tour. Great location with lots of interesting places nearby and an easy walk from the station after catching the airport train. The aprtment had everyhting we needed. Our only complaint is the wifi, hard to connect to, not secure and so slow not worth using.

Superb. From check in to checkout, absolutely brilliant. Location is great for shopping, dining, and walks. Very secure entrance lobby and apartment access, bright and clean. Spacious living area, well appointed kitchen and bathroom, dreamily comfortable bed. A balcony overlooking Fortitude Valley was icing. The street is off the main drag so it wasn't noisy at night, and apartment walls are thick enough so neighbours are not heard. Will definitely be staying here again !

AC had mould in the vents. Only one extra pillow available. Outside table covered in cigarette burns. Had to take out your own rubbish. Couch smelt bad. Fridge made a constant humming noise. Leaving is awkward needing the key to get down and drive out and then have to drop the key off afterwards. Don’t drop your key until you’ve disposed of your garbage also otherwise you will have to take the trash with you as bins are behind a locked door. Disappointing experience

Stayed in a one bedroom apartment for a week. Fantastic location within easy walking distance to the Story Bridge and the bars/restaurants around that area. The room was very good with great amenities. The staff were friendly as well. Overall I had a great stay.

The whole stay was fine - my only critique would be hat the hotel policy states that’s the guest is required to dispose of rubbish him/herself and I strongly suggest hat the property rethinks this policy , I believe that is what the house keeping staff is for. The Guest should not be expected to do this.

A good secure location and very quiet for being in the hub of Fortitude Valley. Plenty of room. Even though bedroom was separate you couldn't close it off so would get the noise from the living area. There is an awful trip hazard going into the bathroom. Not sure how many times we banged our toes on it. is camouflaged because the tiles are the same as what leads in. Good parking and helpful staff.

Stayed one night for an event expecting a simple and clean. I clearly expected too much and only there to sleep. It seems that the rooms aren't inspected after being "cleaned". Once again, 100% genuine review that I thought was going to be much better. Glass table wiped with dirty cloth, grease spread on kitchen bench that was half wiped, none of the floors were mopped and were sticky, food and grease on the hob, in and the roof of oven/grill, grease dripping from cupboards and rangehood filter that was out, shower glass to living area filthy, some disgusting build up on the hinges of the toilet, still pee under the front of the toilet seat, hair and non vacuumed next to bin, sink chrome not cleaned, dirty washing machine, dust at shower vent, what looked like snot on the toilet/shower room wall, stuff on wall and edge of benchtop, filthy light switches, marks on balcony wall, dirty sliding door, some fungus above glasses/cups, dirty seal of dishwasher, greasy handles on oven, moved the lamp and a mess there, side of couch dirty, dusty and greasy next to painting on kitchen cupboards, sheer curtains filthy with lots of "stuff" on them, dirty at toilet roll holder, "stuff" on the bedside lampshades. The plus side is that the sheets were clean. I'll let the photos show what we got for the money. I'm not here to have a go at these places, if it's good, I'll give them a good review and same goes the other way. It's only fair.

1 star. Still waiting for security deposit of $200 to be returned. Was told that it wouldn’t come out of my account. Phoned receptionist said that the money had been released and could take up to 10 business days, she suggested I call my bank. Not happy with all this chasing of My money. Won’t ever be returning.

Response from Adam Eric, General Manager at The Miro Apartments
Responded Feb 2, 2023
Hi Shelley, It's disappointing to receive a review such as this when there's actually nothing wrong..... Particulary as I've phoned you to try and help, but you have refused to speak with me as you're too busy! It was a credit card pre-auth that was processed rather than any charges. If this isn't used, the bank will dissolve the pre-auth depending upon their policy. In most cases we find it's about 5 business days or thereabouts. In your case, the pre-authorisation WAS used, and as such, you'll see the transaction amount of $18.36 for your parking charges which were completed on the 27th. Given that it's a pre-authorisation, you won't see a credit amount, as the funds were never transacted and removed from your account in the first place. Instead, you would have seen the "pending" amount signifying that the transaction hasn't been finalised as yet. When it's dissolved, you won't see any evidence of the pre-auth being there, as it just disappears.... just like when you might hire a car.... if the pre-authorisation isn't called upon for a transaction, it just disappears. So let's make sure this is as accurate as possible; The $18.36 amount is visible on your account right? And the $200 pre-auth amount is no longer visible..... But you saw it days ago.... or before you checked out and we'd actually charged your credit card, and you might not have checked back since this time... But you've never seen a $200 credit which you may have been expecting, as there's misunderstanding about what a pre-authorisation is and what a "Deposit" is...... So, if you truly are still seeing a $200 DEBIT amount on your transaction record, something has gone drastically wrong? But this isn't actually the case, as no-one would allow $200 to be debited to their account without being returned would they? It's just that you don't understand the process, and have unfortunately not listened to our advice, instead preferring to vent via online channels. AND refusing to speak with me when I've phoned to try and help/explain further. SO, if the $200 pending amount is still visible and it's been over a week, I'd suggest that we email your card issuer and ask for them to release funds manually. If this is required, please let us know whom your card issuer is and we'll copy you into the email. If the pending amount is gone however, everything is as it should be and there's no further follow up required..... We're here to help, so please do listen to what we say and we'll do what we can to help.... And if you really are still seeing the "pending" amount, please let me know who your bank is, as we can help chase it, but please know this is a banking process and not one of the property. And to help with your future accommodation stays, car hire and other times when a pre-authorisation is required (Uber even) I'd recommend you make yourself familiar with the entire process..... After all, it is you whom is instructing for the pre-auth to occur. Here's some info to help; https://www.traveller.com.au/hotel-preauthorisation-charges-on-your-credit-card-what-theyre-for-and-why-were-stuck-with-them-h1tz9t Happy Travels, Adam @ The Miro & Atrio Apartments
