Detailed Reviews
I booked last minute when unexpectedly I needed to stay in Brisbane and I was pleasantly surprised by the Miro.
Despite my intended arrival being very late, I was provided with clear instructions to make myself comfortable and use their self-check in facility and mobile number in case I had any problems.
The unit was well equipped with full kitchen, bathroom & laundry facilities and whilst I was expecting to pay for parking, it was offered free as I'd booked direct!
The unit was a LOT larger than I'm used to in the city and the place was very clean and tidy!
The staff were only too happy to help me the next morning with my unusual requests and were gracious enough to provide late check out, once again free of charge as I'd booked direct!
I'm not in Brisbane that often, however I think I'll be looking at The Miro again upon my next trip.
Easy, clean, good quality and fantastic location with great value.... Pretty hard to get all of this in one location, so well done Miro, and Thanks!

From the rooms to the reception to the location you can’t fault these apartments at all. The room had everything you need whilst away. Unlike other accommodation in Brisbane the rooms were very quiet as you couldn’t hear traffic.

Miro Apartment exceeded our expectation. It is at the most perfect location - everything was available in few minutes walk (convenience store, restaurants, clubs, bars, you name it. Less than 10 min drive to the city (or 30 min walk). The neighborhood felt safe and was vibrant. Services were stellar with great amenities found in the apartment. Kitchen & essentials were big for a guest like us who travel with a family. Our stay was worth every penny. We will stay here again in the future.

AC had mould in the vents. Only one extra pillow available. Outside table covered in cigarette burns. Had to take out your own rubbish. Couch smelt bad. Fridge made a constant humming noise. Leaving is awkward needing the key to get down and drive out and then have to drop the key off afterwards. Don’t drop your key until you’ve disposed of your garbage also otherwise you will have to take the trash with you as bins are behind a locked door. Disappointing experience

All bedrooms are facing internal backyards where lights are turned on all night and blinds don't block them out...
People are yelling, knocking on doors... running all night and walls are not soundproofing : no security guards on premises to tell people off.
Furnitures are very low quality, even dangerous. EX: exposed electrical wires of my bedroom lamp...
We didn’t sleep at all: DO NOT RECOMMEND at any price

The Miro Appartments is the PERFECT inner city location to stay!
I've been staying in the cbd in Brisbane for years (and years) - and only recently decided to stay somewhere else. I was seeing a band at the Fortitude Music Hall - and the Miro is a very short walk from there.
I loved that the price was so much cheaper than in the CBD & Southbank. There is on site secure parking, it's quiet, and you can walk to everything. It was less than 10 mins to walk to the valley, and only about 30 mins to walk to queen street along the river walk.
The room was quite spacious and well planned. It was a one bedroom (with a curtain wall) and the bedroom was separate from the living area. The kitchen was well appointed and included a full size fridge. You could stay here for long term :)
Also, a lovely surprise was a little deck with a table for 4 .
The inner courtyard garden was great too, very leafy. You kind of feel like you arent actually in the city.
A little tip - pay attention to the code you recieve on check in! You need it to gain building access after hours.
I will def be staying here again :) Big 5 stars from me!

Dear 565yvette, Thank you for taking the time to provide your comments and feedback. All feedback that we receive whether it be positive or negative helps us look at areas of improvement, so that we can ensure that we are offering the best possible service and apartments to our guests. I was extremely delighted to read that you had a wonderful stay with us at the Miro Apartments. I have also recently moved from the CBD to the Fortitude Valley, and you are right, it is such a great location, and I am pleased that you found our little oasis Miro Apartments with the internal courtyard gardens. We are very lucky to have such spacious well-appointed apartments that have a balcony for some fresh air and space to relax. The Business has recently changed hands in February and with the New Owners & Management Team will be working hard with the individual unit owners to bring the level of the apartments up to a new high standard which will include a full audit of each apartment. You can be assured that there will be changes and updates in all apartments over the coming months, so stay tuned. I greatly appreciate you taking the time to provide your feedback and comments and we look forward to welcoming you back again in the new future. Kind Regards Craig Whye General Manager

Firstly, the Good. 5 Stars. The Miro is beautifully located, close to necessary shopping, public transport, and easy to get to by car. The Apartment was spacious, with all the amenities/features that one would reasonably expect in a 4-star establishment. On-site parking was superb. The booking/reception staff were most competent, friendly, helpful, and courteous. But, the Not So Good. 2 Stars. Aspects of the apartments upkeep, cleanliness and servicing left a fair bit to be desired. It is clear that a manager with authority needs to go and have a good look at, and undertake a detailed assessment of the apartment and allow staff the time and resources to give it a major injection of TLC. A coat of fresh paint doesn’t hide the many aspects of the apartment requiring a total clean, repair, renewal. Of course, we can only speak for the apartment we occupied, however, a quick check of past reviews on The Miro tends to confirm much of what we are saying about our experience. Notwithstanding, we thoroughly enjoyed Brisbane.

So I wasn't sure about these apartments but liked the location. I was a little shocked opening the door to walk straight into the bedroom at the front!! BUT, the place totally grew on me. The apartment was roomy with clever use of space and I was super impressed by my owners styling and also how everything was catered for. Fully equipped kitchen, Comp tea and coffee, towels, hair dryer, iron and board, toiletries - everything catered for from ice in the freezer and a jug of chilled water. I was on a red eye from Darwin and the owner accommodated an earlier check in. Thoroughly enjoyed my stay here and loved the easy walk to James Street, to the bridge and short ride to Eagle Street ($12). Also the #1ranked Cafe across the road did not disappoint! Give it a go it a bit quirky but that adds to the charm!

Great self contained accommodation located very centrally to the Fortitude Valley.
The unit was clean and well fitted with full gas stove, oven, washer dryer for clothes and good aircon. Spacious free included car parking if booking directly.
We'd stay again :-)
