Detailed Reviews
Can't complain too much for the money.
The bed in the room was a wooden box nailed together with a barely 2" inch thick mattress on it.
Ok , for a weekend I suppose.

Reception was closed when I arrived after midnight and I had to wait in the dark carpark for a half hour for a security guard to arrive and let me in. The room was stuffy, dull and cramped and I had barely enough room to put my bag. I turned on the air conditioning but it was so noisy I had to turn it off again to be able to sleep. I left the next day and disvovered a lovely hostel across the road where I got a much better private room for half the price.

A good cheap place in a good location across from a supermarket (handy as the restaurants in town are expensive). It was clean and has a TV.

The room we booked was on the day they was drilling the walls to put air conditioning in. The reception did not tell us about it. We travelled from mount isa Queensland long hours and wanted to rest but the drilling in the wall right next to our room gave us more sleep deprivation.

Stayed in the Value Inn on a number of occasions. Although the rooms are basic they are very good value for money. Great location small but nice swimming pool. Ideal for a Quick weekend in Darwin to take in the local atomosphere of Mitchell Street with all it's Cafe's Bars and Night Clubs.
Just a word of warning, Can be used by Local ladies of the night for Business but are very discreet. Smoke dectectores are very sencitive so do not smoke in non smoking rooms.

This was a genuinely terrible and somewhat frightening place. The room was tiny, barely enough space for us and for our luggage. Don't stay here. We walked down the street to the Crown Plaza, got a gorgeous room there for the rest of our stay. Yes, it was somewhat more expensive, but not all that much more, considering all that you got, including a marvelous breakfast.

The reviews are far too high for this hotel. I've stayed at some disgusting accommodations in my life, usually at a price that was worth the sacrifice, but this one is at the top of the list. The bedding and shower made my skin crawl. There were boogers on the wall, a pubic hair in one of the beds and it reeked of body odor. All this for a very average rate. I think the "value" in Value Inn really depends on your perspective and what you are willing to deal with.
On the plus side, it's centrally located (but loud, next to a club) and has free parking.

Stayed there for 7 nights at a cost of $980. Walked into the reception to be greeted by a grumpy staff member who only managed to say 'what do you want' and 'give me your id'. After this awkward greeting, I got my room swipe card and went up the dirty old elevator. I entered my room and I was immediately hit by the smell of 1000 Irish backpackers before me. The bed was so short that my legs were up on the desk at the end every night. The bathroom had stains on the tiles and there were ants crawling across the wall from one bead head to the other. The air conditioner was on but might as well have been a heater it was in such poor condition. During my stay I had some medication 'disappear' from the room and I felt like it was wrong to ask for a new bathmat (the shower has no strip on the floor and the whole floor gets soaking wet including the toilet). Each day I was met by just another rude staff member who hated life and hated their job. Once I got home I realised I left my ipad charger in the wall so I called up to ask for it to be posted back to me. I have called twice and been told that someone will get back to me but I am still waiting, days later. The staff don't care about guests and the rooms are only worth about $50 a night. I would never stay there again.

We stayed in this Motel for one night. Mouldy walls, paint coming off, broken window, noisy aircon, tiny bathroom, no showerhead, filthy carpet, old matress ... and the list goes on and on ... $145 per night for that? We experienced that Darwin is a little bit expensive, but to charge that amount of money is ridiculous. The icing of the cake were the 2 false fire alarms at 10pm and 11:50pm. It took the firetruck ages to get there, which could have something to do with no staff on side during the night and someone from the hostel next door had to come over to. Let's face it. If that would have been a real fire, people would have died.
We had booked 2 more nights, but cancelled them the next morning to go to a real hotel.
But to say something positive: The location is fantastic. In the middle of the city!

Response from VINNDarwin, General Manager at Value Inn Darwin
Responded Oct 24, 2012
Thank you for your feedback. Please note that we take all feedback from our guests seriously and endeavour to ensure that all incidents are thoroughly investigated. Since this feedback was posted, we have conducted staff training with our house keeping team as well as taken a full audit of the conditions of all 91 rooms. Please note that during the dry season, the property runs at 100% occupancy for approximately 5 months, and while we make no excuses for poor rooms standards, there is a high level of wear and tear throughout this period which we have now addressed. While we maintain that we are a budget, 2.5 star property, we have invested in new linen, including towels and pillow case as recently as June 2012. Rooms and bathrooms have all had soft refurbishments over the last 12 months and we aim to ensure that all maintenance issues are addressed to maintain our 2.5star rating and provide a comfortable, budget accommodation option in Darwin’s CBD. Thank you for taking the time to comment & we wish you well on your future travels. Regards, Value Inn Management.

Save your $67 and sleep on a bench-could be cleaner and safer. There was a fire in a room with the fire alarm meaning we evacuated to the car park. No fire Marshall’s,no safety instructions, no interest by the rude staff who left the fire scene to sort out a brawl in their bar. The rooms reminded me of what a sleazy brothel may look like. Wasn’t keen to shower in the bathroom and did find a stray hair on the bed linen. Noisy, smelly and very concerned about the chance of catching a disease. Backpackers smoking all sorts in the public areas, crusty bits in shower, one speed noisy aircon I could go on.The door privacy card was held together by a bandaid.

Response from Sheena M, Manager at Value Inn Darwin
Responded Apr 8, 2018
Hi JenniT57, It is disappointing to hear that you did not enjoy your stay at Value Inn, however, I have reviewed the fire incident to which you refer, and I feel the need to respond. We had a number of staff on duty that night as the incident occurred during a shift change over, and our live-in staff also attended and communicated with fire department. It is unfortunate that a fire took place during you stay, but you cannot fairly complain about needing to evacuate when clearly there was a fire and our evacuation processes were undertaken in a timely manner. There our maintenance manager remained onsite at all times, while other staff attended to an issue at a neighboring property for which they are also responsible. I completely reject any suggestion that the staff were rude and unhelpful. In fact, despite providing professional and repeated assistance, a number of my staff were not given the respect and thanks they deserved. In terms of the general demeanor of the property, it would appear that your travel agent has not appraised themselves of the nature of our location and facilities in providing you with an accommodation solution. Perhaps our style of accommodation was not suited to your needs. For price, we offer good value central accommodation.

U decide, I regularly stay there once or twice a year often is season.
Have basicly stayed at Value in or Maleluca numerous times.
Value inn is better I say but both are ok.
It is also depending on the individuals that are booked in the same time as U!
That can make it difficult at times I say
Nope they wont
